Despite the salary cot she still reportedly makes $25 million per year, well above the point where she would understand the impact of inflation on a household budget.
If you compare the sexual hijinks of Matt Gaetz versus the sexual hijinks of Bobby Kennedy, it's like David vs. Goliath. I don't know anything about anybody, other than rumor and innuendo. But from what I've read, Kennedy is a notorious womanizer, and my understanding is that his wife killed herself over it after she found his diary and read about all his exploits. Clearly she had mental health issues and is responsible for her own actions. But that's a pretty awful sex scandal.
Matt Gaetz is alleged to have had sex with a 17-year-old, which may or may not be a crime, depending on what state you are in. And our corrupt and nefarious FBI has investigated him for a couple of years, and nobody has reprimanded him in the House, let alone charge him with anything.
Why are they investigating him? Well, the House asked them to. That's one of the slimy and corrupt things that bothers me about the FBI. They are thugs that do whatever the federal government tells them to do. There's no independence at FBI. There's no "we only investigate crimes, sir." They'll be glad to do "background checks" and dig up whatever opposition research you need to scuttle an appointment or ruin somebody's career. It doesn't surprise me that Trump is avoiding the FBI and going with private background checks. That's because he wants to avoid any leaks from the sewer.
Why was Gaetz attacked the hardest? Why was the attack so immediate and brutal? Because he and his merry crew of freedom fighters voted with the Democrats to upend the Speaker of the House. That's never happened in almost 250 years of American government. You can bet people in the government don't like that shit. So don't kid yourself about the noble guardians of the Senate. This was a slimy hit job. And you can tell by the kid gloves that Kennedy is getting over his sex life (so far).
Actually, I expect a lot of attacks on the Kennedy nomination. That's because he's the one Trump nominee who promises more regulation, not less. He's the one bringing more government oversight, not less. You think Big Pharma is happy with his nomination? Or Big Food? I'm sure they're spending a lot of money right now trying to scuttle it.
The attack on Gaetz was immediate, because the Senators saw him as a genuine threat to the status quo and their power. The attacks on Kennedy will be delayed. Checks will have to be cashed first. But, I suspect, we will see a lot of attacks on his character. I wonder if anybody in the media will think of him as the son of Bobby Kennedy, and talk about that? Too few.
The New York Times just carried an item where what were described as "American officials" were discussing providing nukes to Ukraine, based on the false premise that the Ukraine ever had nuclear weapons under its control, which it didn't, any more than that there were any North Koreans in the Russian territory of Kursk fighting the Ukrainians there.
Gee, why not just blow up the whole non-proliferation regime? Why not give Russia permission to provide nukes to Iran? How about the Houthis? Why not?
American news consumers probably don't know this, but the Ukrainian army is collapsing right now, which is a terrible blow to NATO, so see their weaponry so roundly defeated, and to, by extension, US military prestige. You know what holds up the dollar? US military prestige. Reckless Joe Biden has pushed a huge pile of chips, our chips, onto the table in a war that we can't win short of WW3 style intervention, probably with nukes, and even in that case, victory is by no means assured.
There is lots of video coming out of the impact of that "Hazelnut" missile, that's what the Russians call it, maybe because the streams of light falling from the sky look like the blossoms of the hazelnut tree. Anyway, you can say that it was all fake, video running backwards, but apparently one of the targets was a Ukrainian "missile factory," where they probably laundered Western missile components into "Ukrainian" missiles, and the impact of inert warheads hitting the ground at mach 10, in clusters, is pretty devastating.
that's a bizarre paragraph buried at the bottom of the article
it would seem highly newsworthy, if true.
why bury it like that?
Several officials even suggested that Mr. Biden could return nuclear weapons to Ukraine that were taken from it after the fall of the Soviet Union.
That doesn't even make sense to me. Why would we have Ukrainian nuclear weapons after the fall of the Soviet Union? Russia would have the nukes, right? So I think what this is trying to suggest -- either the journalist is incompetent or they are trying to understand the babbling of Joe Biden -- is that maybe Russia will give Ukraine nukes as part of a negotiated settlement. Which is ridiculous, of course.
If you don't think that genius exists, I just saw the most amazing video where Alice Cooper told a story about seeing Jeff Beck, when he was about 16 years old, hold a guitar by the neck at the body side, release it within his grip, and play perfect triplets on the falling guitar until he caught it at the machine head.
Either genius exists, or Alice Cooper is a liar. Maybe that is what made Cooper decide that he needed a gimmick.

When the riders finally came to a stop, they reportedly did not do so on the shoulder of the roadway. Instead, police said the riders were blocking a lane of traffic, which is why the northbound freeway was temporarily shutdown.
The freeway reopened a short time later, though some lanes were impacted for around two hours for the response. Due to the large number of motorcyclists stopped, additional officers were called in to assist. The SDPD spokesperson confirmed that traffic stop led to three arrests for a felony warrant and “weapons-related offenses.”

While FEMA is saying no one is in tents, Fox News is literally talking to them.
Well done.
And BTW does anyone remember Marn’i Washington, the disgraced former FEMA supervisor who was fired for ordering her people to not visit or offer aid to people with Trump signs? She claims the orders came from way higher up than her (not that “just following orders” has been an acceptable excuse sine the Nuremberg trials). Well, she seems to have the receipts, thatthe directions coming out of DC were to treat people displaying pro-Trump yard signs as “domestic terrorists.”
Say WHAT?
Meanwhile reports are coming in from elsewhere of similar FEMA actions, deliberately bypassing houses that showed support for Trump. The latest I’ve seen is from Georgia.
