Media exaggeration aside, it's indeed hard to see how Trump has been doing anything to sell himself to the public over the past couple of weeks. Harris is here, and the reality is that she is going to be fully protected and insulated by the media. So what's the new plan?

I don't think the Democrats replaced Biden on the ticket because of anything Trump did but on the other hand Trump was openly criticizing and ridiculing Biden for his obvious infirmities for months and then he agreed to that early debate with Biden. Did he honestly not expect that Biden would get bumped off the ticket? Others in the party were warning about that happening as early as last year.
