Trump mocked political violence against Pelosi’s family and called upon a foreign government to hack Hillary Clinton’s emails. But folks should totally feel bad for him when he’s the victim of foreign government hacking.

Israel has just admitted the IDF prison guards have been raping palestinian prisoners in jail. And some in Israel have rioted over it. They aren't upset at the rapes, but that anyone would want to punish the rapes! Current estimates are that 39,790 people, mostly innocent women and children have been killed by Israel since October 7th.

All done with USA's approval and with USA supplied weapons and bombs. Funny how you dont see much about this is the MSM. Nor, outside of twitter, do you see much about UK judges putting Britons in jail for years for retweets or for "Yelling at a policeman" or "Observing a riot". Like the USA, the UK allows the "right sort" to riot, burn, and loot without punishment, while the "Far Right" are sentenced to jail for the slightest offense.

I've a question -- does everyone else get constant Kamala advertisements on Youtube? In keeping with her campaign, there's zero substance, just some platitudes and a plea to send more money. But they're literally on every video I watch, sometimes twice, and have been since shortly after she was appointed Biden's replacement. I'm curious whether this relentless barrage of donation ads is targeted somehow (the ad copy seems to be written with the assumption that I am a hardcore Democratic partisan irrationally terrified of Trump) and has mistakenly been routed to me based on my viewing habits or demographics, or they're just pushing these out indiscriminately.

Yes, I'm getting the same thing. I used to get a lot of ad with Obama and Biden that used basically the same script, but Harris showed up in them a week or two before Biden pulled out. I've seen very few Trump ads, which used to be numerous, in the past month. All they've done is made me loathe her voice.

Kakistocracy said...

Harris and Walz will have to campaign hard and smart until Election Day to win, but they’re winning on message, money, and mobilization--which drives their momentum.

They bring a positive message that includes policies that are widely popular: abortion rights, paid family and medical leave, child tax credits, free meals for students, and infrastructure investment including affordable housing. Walz’s ‘mind your own damn business’ line is a highly effective counter to Republican positions on social wedge issues that resonates on both sides.

The Harris campaign is winning the fundraising battle by over 2:1, with most contributions coming from new, small donors.

The Harris campaign is also winning in mobilization. Over 300,000 people have volunteered to help the Harris campaign since Biden stepped down, and the normally sparsely attended local Democratic Party organization meetings are now full around the country. Her rallies are attracting big crowds--so much so that the campaign is having trouble booking venues big enough to host them. Their convention will provide another boost later this month.

At the same time, Trump is old and diminished. Over half the electorate thinks he’s too old to be president, and his rambling, recycled, negative rhetoric is wearing thin outside the MAGA base and maybe even within it too. His last press conference has caused more to question his mental capacity, as he rambles in increasingly incoherent sentences frequently devoid of truth and increasingly disconnected with reality. His VP pick is the most unpopular one in modern history at this point, while Walz has the highest approval rate of all the candidates.

There is still a long way to go, but the momentum has swung away from the Trump campaign and it’s doubtful at this point if Trump has the capacity to change that. He’s not campaigning much--another sign of old age--and he’s not about to change his style or message. He is who he is.

Given the astonishing corruption by ActBlue and other money laundering operations by the dems/left that take names of small donors (and potentially non-donors like yourself) and then funnel thousands of small money laundered donations, money provided by foreign sources, thru those small donors and non-donor names into the New Soviet Democratical coffers, if you feel you are being targeted by for donation-driver ads by the New Soviet Democraticals you should probably check the donation lists to see if your name is being abused for more Soviet money laundering.

Rich, you are a moronic imbecile with not the slightest concept of infosec (go look it up). Everyone who knows absolutely anything about secure communications assumes that her Emails have already been copied and decrypted (assuming the stupid bitch thought to use some form of commercially available encryption like PCP) by Russia, China, probably Iran, almost certainly Israel, probably Britain, France and Germany, Pakistan, India, and a bunch of other countries I'm not thinking of at the moment. Trump was, pretty humorously, pointing that out. I have no idea why Democrats are so careless -- make that downright contemptuous -- about computer security. Techies like me know better.

I get that Hillary, slick as she is, is nevertheless too stupid to grasp the concept that as Secretary of State she was a very high value target for espionage. If there was anything in those Emails that left her open for blackmail, there are thirty of forty countries that have it.

Interesting:
The "CORRECTED" military service record of Stolen Valor / Blue Falcon Coward Liar Walz shows that his demotion to E-8 occurred just 4 months after his discharge after he abandoned his unit after lying to his HQ leadership team. It did NOT occur "years later" as the New Soviet Democraticals have been saying....which is odd given how many years Stolen Valor Walz repeatedly claimed publicly that he was a Command Sergeant Major....which was all in parallel with his repeated lies about having served in combat and even obfuscating his record to insinuate he, himself, suffered from combat related PTSD.

Again, this dude just can't help himself and that sort of bizarre and repeated, transparent, obvious lying about his record really seems to be a cry for help. Not unlike the LLR-democratical trolls that post at Althouse blog.

@Althouse, your post yesterday at 6:45 made me think about something the mainstream press pulled on Ronald Reagan back in the day. You and I are old enough to remember when Reagan included portions of a Medal of Honor citation in a speech about the heroics of a gunner in a crippled B-17 that resulted in driving off a flock of German fighters and getting the plane -- which had wounded men aboard -- safely home. In fact, the plane was so badly shot up that it broke in half when it landed in Britain. If you remember the incident then you will recall that the press insisted that Reagan was not really talking about a B-17 gunner, he was remembering dialog from a movie titled "Hellcats of the Navy." Ha, ha. Silly actor trying to pretend to be President. Crap along that line.

In fact, if one reads the citation for Staff Sergeant Maynard ("Snuffy") Smith, one can see that Reagan recited it nearly verbatim. So much for the investigation powers of that era's "investigative reporters."

And now we have the press insisting that Trump was not on a flight with Willie Brown, it was Pat Brown (as though all California politicians look alike to a New Yorker like Trump was then). And it never happened.

The Times lies, reflexively.

Big Mike said...

IOW Israel has moral standards and is investigating and soldiers are being held and the guilty ones will be punished. People were being abused and the government wants that wrong behavior to stop. So what is your problem? Are you complaining that there are some Jews who don't act Jewish? Or that in wars even Jewish people can get screwed up?
Have you completely forgotten Abu Ghraib? And the US govt. didn't actually admit that -- and the guy, Joseph Darby, who accidentally found the photos on a fellow soldier's camera and reported it was treated like a pariah. Those were American soldiers doing that torture and abuse btw (most likely nice Christian boys).
Meanwhile Hamas has not allowed any visits by the Red Cross to any of the hostages who have been held for over ten months. How many are still alive? We don't know. How many of the young women Hamas kidnapped have been impregnanted against their will? We have no idea. Does this meet your standards of human behavior? Where is the outrage in the media over this? There is none. No one cares, especially left wing media and the UN etc., except for Jews. And not all the hostages are Jewish, but only the Jews and specially good people care.
What makes you so willing to quote numbers provided by Hamas, numbers which do not differentiate between civilians and combatants? We know they are liars and they've already admitted their numbers being off by 10K.
The war is a terrible tragedy which Hamas started intentionally. Why aren't you expressing anger towards Hamas if you care for Palestinian lives? Why aren't you condemning Hamas for prolonging this war and putting their own people in harm's way? Instead you are complaining that the US is supporting Israel in trying to defeat an existential threat. If Hamas is not defeated now they have promised to rearm and attack again and again.
You are saying you agree with their agenda and see them as kindred spirits because of your shared hatred of Jews. It's kind of pathetic and bizarre for an American to support a fundamentalist Islamic terrorist group.

It wasn't every video but it was plenty and often on rather odd channels. Enough that I figured I'd take advantage of a two months free deal for YT Premium so I could avoid them. That'll get me most of the way to the election. As best I can remember the only Republican ads I've seen were from Hayley, and I've seen no ads for local (KY or IN) candidates which seems odd compared to other years. Only Biden and Harris fund raising ads.
