Will the DNC send up a puff of white smoke when Harris is nominated online in the coming week?

The kerfuffle about whether Kamala considers herself Indian or black say a lot about race relations in this country. The fact that she now portrays herself as black because she believes that will help her get more votes would belie the canard that we are a racist county.

Big wind storm in Omaha. Over 200k without power. People upset, but imagine how mad they will be with winter blackouts caused by OPPD’s net zero policy.

Bottom line: Kamala ran away from that interview. She promised to be there; she ran. No explanations given. But I expect she realized how deadly continuous exposure is to phonies like her whom the media has been propping up. Long exposure destroyed Joe Biden. It would have been a hard thing to do and we now see how Kamala would do the hard things as President. When the going gets tough, Kamala will get going - out the door, no reason, just gone.

You think she wasn't scared? Prove me wrong. Will she allow herself to be interviewed by a group drawn from the Federalist Society and CPAC? Or maybe she'd like to go on the Three Whiskey Happy Hour? No, she ran from a long exposure of herself to the American voters like a troll running from sunlight. She'll never do it.

I want to return to a topic from an earlier post. Specifically, this.

In analyzing this cultural artifact, I can't help but notice that Charli XcX seems to be calling attention to her crotch. And, as a heterosexual white male, born in the mid-20th century, whose pronouns are his/him, and whose health insurance is provided by his employer (I mean, why not? Let's get all the relevant circumstances on the table), I kinda like it. Like, yeah, the suggestion of a sexual connection between us, even though such a connection will never take place, pushes my buttons. Of course, there is no realistic possibility that I will ever actually insert my penis into her vagina. Indeed, since that would constitute an act of infidelity to my wife, and a violation of vows I made in all sincerity, surely 'tis a consummation devoutly to be abhorred.

But. Is it wrong, for me to contemplate, and to be pleased to contemplate, that which it would certainly be wrong for me to accomplish?

An anti-Israel group at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee recently threatened Jewish students and organizations, calling them “genocidal extremists.”

The “UWM Popular University for Palestine” issued the threat through an Instagram post in July, specifically mentioning certain Jewish organizations: “We will no longer normalize genocidal extremists walking on our campus. Any organization or entity that supports Israel is not welcome at UWM. This includes the local extremist groups such as Hillel, Jewish Federation, etc.”

I am crossing the Rubicon and backing the Republican Party and President Trump.

Many — including a former version of myself — get trapped in a mental framework that becomes their identity and prevents them from radically evolving their thinking with new facts and information. I finally broke free from it.

My journey has been a gradual political 180 from where I stood in every previous election. It has been an eye-opening process of disenchantment, zero-basing lifelong beliefs, and rebuilding from there....

Some claim that reelecting President Trump will bring our democracy to its knees. However, the alternative — having unelected individuals with this much power and no accountability run our government coupled with four more years of bad policies at home and abroad — might present a more significant threat. Neither will likely change in a Harris administration and could potentially worsen.

In this pivotal moment, confronted with the choices we have, I am endorsing and supporting a return to a Republican administration in 2025.

Me too. They count on your sense of disbelief that human beings could act that cynically and selfishly. A lot of people simply dismiss known history if it pushes up against their sense of security and their sense of being right. You can tell people that we have admitted to arming the Taliban, and teaching them how to take over countries, *before* the Soviet invasion, and it simply goes in one ear, out the other.

Those terror attacks in Europe blamed on the "Red Brigade"? The CIA has admitted that they were conducted by terrorist that we trained, who were intended for a "leave behind" operation in case the Soviets invaded Europe, and they got bored. Operation Gladio. Nobody cares, you just read this and it went in on eye and out the other.

Another "leave behind" operation? The ultra-nationalist "not sees" in the Ukraine that we nurtured as a way to inflict agita on the Soviets.

The first and most important rule is to reject the evidence of your eyes. Another example would be to ask Harris's qualifications for president if she were a white male, and her resume was identical.

WHY wouldn't these terrorists (yes, that is what they are) deported immediately, instead of being released with unknown sums of money to infiltrate and cause an actual upcoming terrorist attack?? Still think our Government is protecting us??

Well, sure: when you make naked and unsupported assertions, why should anyone give you any credence?

For starters, who were the Taliban leaders "before" the Soviet invasion? ChatGPT says this:

"The Taliban emerged as a significant force in Afghanistan in the early 1990s. The group was formed in 1994 by Mullah Mohammad Omar in Kandahar, amid the chaos of the Afghan civil war that followed the withdrawal of Soviet troops in 1989 and the collapse of the Soviet-backed government in 1992."

Jimmy Carter gave covert assisstance to the mujahideen in 1979, in order to counter Russia's invasion [and as a well-known Russian stooge here, your anger over that is a given)

But do you just lump in the mujahideen as Taliban, even though they were rivals, and even though the former predate the latter by about 15 years?

What "countries" did the Taliban take over, besides their own?

Lets see if these questions go in one ear, and the other---yours.
