That's something I wrote on November 9, 2020. (The internal quote is from an Axios article.)
I see I made a tag "how does Kamala feel," but then I never used it again. I wanted to keep an eye on an unwholesome phenomenon. Sorry. I forgot. But I want to remember again. The question facing us in this election is what the candidate is offering to do for us and whether she or he will be very good at it. Your support should never be about wanting to boost the spirit and self-esteem of the candidate.

That’s the first thing I thought about when the discussion was about who is she picking to be on her ticket.
‘It’s got to be someone who she feels comfortable with’ I thought, but I hesitated to post it because I don’t think a different rule should apply to Kamala because she’s a woman.
I don't know if you want to debate her
but "cat lady" is a great insult
she'll be feeling that one
Kamala needs to get the girlpower from her fans the way that Taylor Swift gets the feelz (is that dated now?) from her multitudes to exercise her beautiful strength. Perhaps she'll tap Swift as her VP.
Solidarity will be the death of misogyny. The alternative is Trump and death. If Kamala wins, the future will taste like key lime pie!
Yum!

Running the country, and getting out of the hole being dug, is secondary to everything else.
You can have feelings or you can have structure, one breaks the other. Women run on feelings, a balance of everything in the air. Guys run on structure, looking at stability and e.g. perverse consequences.
It's not misogyny, it's just how it is. Feelings work better for neighborhood sized things, which aren't all-including enough to go unstable. The too-strict father is the stereotype of the structuralist in the home.
For large systems like nations, women produce nothing but perverse consequences. The founding fathers were not feelings guys, they were structure guys.
"Childless cat lady" is not a great insult
too on the nose
that's just mean
"cat lady" is all you need
Getting this right may be a tougher climb because there is more pressure to elect a woman, the second time around. It’s like ‘never mind the principal, let’s just get the first woman thing over and done with’. There’s going to be a lot of that, unfortunately.
“The question facing us in this election is what the candidate is offering to do for us and whether she or he will be very good at it. Your support should never be about wanting to boost the spirit and self-esteem of the candidate.“
So true. It’s the policies and the political skill that matter.
Kamala Harris got where she is by having sex with various politicians starting with having an affair with Willie Brown in California.
She has no self-esteem to accost.
To make matters worse, I believe Trump is awful at making arguments about principles. People knew more about Hilary than they do about Kamala. Not everybody follows this stuff as closely as we do. We know Kamala, but she’s mostly unknown to the rest of the country.
She has no principles no soul thats pretty wasy to convey
I don't care how she feels. She is a horrible joke.

Women are worried about exposure, guys thrive on it.
Kamala , the Democrat comfort woman, has nothing to reccomend her other than having been the worst VP to the worst president in this countrys history.
However that won't stop the usual suspects and their Democrat friends from voting for her because," It's about time we had a woman president." The same brain dead reasoning that got us the "light bringer".
The country be damned.
We know Kamala, but she’s mostly unknown to the rest of the country.
I think her campaign is counting on this considering how hard they are working to disprove the things most notable about her.
The media thread regarding how to say her name correctly is a perfect example of an irrelevant concern about her feelings. On cue, Trump said recently that he doesn’t care about how he pronounces her name.
Well the Good Lord Knows----The Donald does not lack for self esteem. So I don't have to worry about supplying him some. And I'm too old and tired to be able to supply self esteem for the Kackler.
I think how Kamala feels about something is going to be pretty important if she gets elected President because of the effect those feelings --and what she decides to do in response to them-- can have on the rest of us.
How does Kamala feel?
With her fingers?
Does anyone ever wonder how Mike Pence feels?
All feminism is evil. Including this inversion game. There is no feminist gambit I’m buying.
Do you run against Cruella highlighting the Biden-Harris policies or run against her being a empty vessel? Tough call.
One of the turning points of my life was attending, at the urging of a gay male friend, one of Warren Farrell’s workshops in Big Sur. Farrell is a smarmy New Age guru and wife swapper who invented the concept of men creating their own identity politics game, feminism for men. He’s probably the author of the inversion game.
I attended with my late wife, a Filipina, who absolutely loathed feminism for a reason common to Filipinos: She adored the romantic hetero ideal.
My wife ended up screaming at Farrell for his advice that men should get in touch with their feelings and develop their own feminism for men. Farrell wore me out, too, with his hot tub feelings bullshit.
My wife and I split after half of day of this idiocy and decided to spend our vacation in California otherwise.
The WSJ is very up front about what they think this election is all about. Race and gender. We can't criticize Kamala Harris--just think about her race and gender. It took three 'journalists' to explain those facts to us.
"Democrats Bet America Is Ready to Elect a Black Woman President"
"Gender and race move to the center of the campaign with Kamala Harris expected to lead the party’s ticket"
https://www.wsj.com/politics/policy/democrats-bet-america-is-ready-to-elect-a-black-woman-president-627cd579?mod=hp_lead_pos1
Just think how both you and Kamala will feel when the first black female is elected as President of the U.S.
Temujin from 2019 is still true in 2024.
“ Harris couldn't make it out of Iowa. NO ONE in her own party wanted anything to do with her. Now? She's the Queen. She'll be regaled far and wide for her lack of white penis while taking office. (harsh, but you know it's true).
How does this shit happen?”
The shorthand way to get to Kamala's essence is to mention Meghan Markle.
"Your support should never be about wanting to boost the spirit and self-esteem of the candidate."
Sounds good to me but a whole lot of effort seems to go into trying to persuade people that any given candidate is the functional equivalent of a friend.
I think it was the Hare Krishnas who used to give you a flower at the airport and then ask for money. Maybe they still do.
I guess the first thing they teach at Hare Krishna school is how not to approach someone likely to punch you in the face.
Ooh! New tag smell. I love that you saw the zeitgeist and it only now caught up to your prescience.
"The question facing us in this election is what the candidate is offering to do for us and whether she or he will be very good at it."
for us-Harris means it as the chosen people. Gay, Trans, Black, Brown etc etc ugh. Some are chosen by government as special. Some of us most definitely aren't special- white men.
For us in Trump world means America. All of us.
Big difference, and pretty much sums up who and what Harris is.
2024 - the "Sense and Sensibility" election!!
With Obama carrying Kamala home in the rain!!
It's a storybook ending man!

Who were the other politicians, besides Brown, that she had sex with that got her to where she is?
according to Book of Elon sayeth:
if Trump would just put on a dress should make D's happy about USA having first woman President!

if true we may be inaugurating Cleopatra wrapped in RedCarpet!! School of Diplomacy in Foreign Relations!
I agree that she is unknown to the country. That's what the "Honeymoon week" was about. But there are too many videos of her saying her crazy ideas to hide.
I'm still concerned with what Andy Williams thinks.

"How does Kamala feel?" This must be the New Democrats' version of, "What would Jesus do?"
@Skeptical Voter: The Donald does not lack for self esteem.
Trump has self-respect, and is worthy of it.
The distinction between unearned self-esteem and earned self-respect is being lost like the subjunctive mood in the English language, but the difference is of critical importance to the long-term prospects of the country.
These days the most sensationally high levels of self-esteem are typically found among those with the least justification for it. This contributes to a number of social ills. Unsurprisingly, inculcating self-esteem in their students, in place of the modesty and humility that was taught in the days of yore, is considered perhaps the highest calling of our nation's schoolmarms.
"Your support should never be about wanting to boost the spirit and self-esteem of the candidate."
Shortest and surest path to that desideratum is to repeal the 19th.
This post seems to foreshadow the Ahab post.
How did Ahab feel, and should we care? Poor guy apparently only had one name.
Off topic: while contemplating the word "schoolmarm" that came to mind unbidden as I wrote my prior post, I looked up the etymology of "marm". It is actually an archaic word in English, specifically an alternate spelling of "ma'am" or "madam", as I expected.
It's also an unrelated word in the Norwegian language, and signifies the sound made by waves or a stream or waterfall. It's a charming, archaic word now used only poetically.
Eg kjenner deg, du Havsens Marm, med Galdre-Song
"I know you, you drone of the sea, with magic song"
--Arne Garborg, Haugtussa, 1895
Do we have an equivalent word that is used solely for the soothing sounds of water? I'd lay bets the Norwegian word is cognate to the English "murmur", but that is of more general applicability to any soft sound. We also have "rush" or "crash" or "drone" as in this translation, but none of those make me think specifically of water.
If the campaign is to be about gender and race and feelz, then we better get Kamala Harris's ancestry straight. In her background are slave owners and slaves. Her father's family trace back to Harrison Brown, an Ulsterman who emigrated to Jamaica and became a plantation owner. He owned 1260 slaves and was reimbursed for their loss in value by the English Government when the English freed all slaves throughout their Empire in 1837. The amount he was reimbursed would be the equivalent of $11 million dollars in our time. And so the question arises whether the relative prosperity of Harris's family is based on their ancestors gaining a share of this sum. The amount would be large now but would have been immense in Jamaica in the 1840's. Harrison Brown died in 1843.
Kamala's father pointed out the link with Harrison Brown in an article published in 2019 in the Jamaica Globe. https://archive.is/2RvMt
Snopes "fact-checked" Professor Harris's statements and found them "unprovable."
Here is the problem. First, Snopes rejects Prodessor Harris's statements about his own ancestry and looks for documentary proof. This is slim so far. It can be shown that one Mary Malvina Brown was baptized on the 4th of June 1839 in the parish of St. Ann and the father was listed as Harrison Brown Jr. Planter, Grier Park. Grier park was on of Harrison Brown's plantations. And it can be shown by documents that Christina Brown, Professor Harris's grandmother had a sister named Mabel Malvina Brown. This together with Harris's recollections of statements by his grandmother (with whom he spent a great deal of time) and the prosperity of the Harris family would be acceptable proof in a less highly charged atmosphere. As it is the link needs to be investigated more to be accepted and this could be done by looking at the wills of the family.
It certainly would be wrong to hold Kamala Harris responsible for her ancestors and the same could be said of many others.

Hillary ran on that: I'm With Her!
How would Harris feel, is a welcome departure from who would Biden feel.

That would actually be "HWKF" bracelets.
I will unburden myself about how Harris "feels", I'm more concerned about her far left ideology that she will conveniently never discuss in a concrete manner.
Did you know that Karinne Jean-Pierre was the chief of staff for Harris at one time? How does that make you feel?
I'm very interested in genealogy and really like Henry Louis Gates' TV show on PBS "Finding Your Roots". I propose that Gates invite Trump and Harris on his show, so we can find out the truth about the ancestry of both of them.
I thought the experience with Obama would have soured the US on a black president for a hundred years.
