"Who is Bobby Kennedy?"

I like the way this begins with Bobby reading out mainstream media insults against him — he is nuts and clearly disturbed....

There was a party that had a Bob, and distraction was his name-o.

This clown thinks "climate deniers" should be jailed. Just because he is opposed by people you may also disapprove of does not make him a sane or viable choice. Does this really need to be said? He's a goddamn nut.

It isn't going to happen, but the Democrats would certainly do better if Biden dropped out and Kennedy were run in his place on the ticket, but Gavin Gruesome would fight for that spot were Biden to drop out.

That democrats flock to Crook liar Joe - instead of a Kennedy - shows us how far the radical left have fallen.
...and reveals how effective the Left's NBC affiliate Soviet-media endures.

Joe biden is liar, a plagiarist, an open border king-pin, and an international pay to play crook. Joe biden is corrupt, and he controlled by very corrupt people. Joe Biden and his family are compromised and above the law - and his apologists are OK with that.

And he's a better campaigner, too - because he talks about real stuff, instead of narratives that have been focus-group checked by a bunch of bell-jar insiders. I don't think that he's going to make a spoiler, though.

He ain't no Ross Perot or George Wallace or Ralph Nader. More of a Pat Paulsen.

Bobby, for the love of God, fire your social media handlers. The average Trump post has more likes than views within the first few hours as YouTube fails to suppress his message. 600 likes in 17 hours? Those are rookie numbers, buddy!

I especially liked Kennedy reading "He speaks in a croaking rasping .. crack pipe voice" in a croaking, rasping crack pipe voice.

When I started this, I figured it was a 3-4 minute campaign blurb. It is a serious 30 minute production. I want to view it, but will have to come back to it. A couple of quick initial comments.

The fact that he feels like "this is something he has to do. He has a calling" is, of course, what runs through the heads of every Kennedy since Joe first got his hands on Joseph Patrick Kennedy Jr. Running for President is what they were bred to do, what they'd been told they'd do since they were put on this earth. It doesn't mean they should be doing it. But they do, or at the very least, think about doing it.

That said, RFK, Jr. is nothing if not smart, strategic in what he thinks...and says publicly (at least these days), and, when actually listened to in a room, can sway a lot of people. He would be a shake-up-Washington type of Kennedy. Not the usual stuff.

My take is that there are many things he says that I agree with, many approaches he talks about that I agree with. But on a couple major ones, I think he falls very short and comes off more as a 60s/70s Liberal. This world will eat up 60s/70s Liberals, and with them...us. I think he's too far into the Climate Cult and too soft on a strong military for me. But people sometimes have a different view from The White House.

I suspect he has little chance of winning. But not zero. He does have a chance. Things can yet happen. And he seems to be gaining regular momentum, as Joe is becoming even too awful for the people at MSNBC, and Trump is facing a daunting gauntlet of ridiculous lawsuits which have taken his eye off the ball (precisely what the Dems wanted).

I would not be pained too much if RFK, Jr. won. I love disrupters. I think he'd be one. Not my first pick and I won't vote for him, but I would view his Presidency as interesting as opposed to another term of Biden which I would view as catastrophic for this nation and the entire Western World.

My prediction: Ann Althouse will be voting for RFK, Jr. He's right in her sweet spot.

The "He's a kook!" is similar to this:

The left's effective hivemind loyalty media unison-creepiness - you will obey The Soviet-Democratic Narrative. No one is safe!

NBC Rich, Inga and Chuck obey.... easily.
They love above-the-law Crook Joe.

TV impresses some people, no doubt, especially with the high production values you get with Kennedy money. And yet when you track how much of the first five minutes is JFK/ RFK rememberberries, you realize that RFK fundamentally isn't nimble enough to break through the algo. Not without major help from dissident influencers like Jimmy Dore, but they are appalled by RFK's Israel stance.

People will tell you that anyone can build the popularity of Donald Trump, but this is a lie. Even with the unprecedented lawfare against his team, from Cambridge Analytica to Rudy Giuliani, Trump is still putting out content. On the platform he owned and grew, no less- Truth Social.

Their content is still doing much better after one hour than RFK Jr. is after half a day.

I watched the whole thing through, which kind of surprises me. It hasn't moved the needle for me--I'm no more or less likely to vote for him--but he clearly has a brain, unlike Biden.

Now I'll back up and see what others have said.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a 30 minute political ad before.

RFK jr wrote a book about vaccines. If he was truly a crank, why aren’t the pharmaceuticals suing him?

It’s clear, to me, we’re not getting the whole story.

Amexpat said...

I only watched the first few minutes and stopped and when I saw it was 30 minutes.

He clearly is a politically savvy guy and if he didn't have his speech condition, I think he could have gained some real traction. It's telling that they switched to a different voice after the initial segment. I think most people find it difficult to listen to him speak for long stretches, including those who are favorably disposed.

One think that didn't work for me was the question to Cheryl about why he wanted to run. She hesitated too long. My sense was that her non answer was saying; it's a crazy, inexplicable thing my husband wants to do, but hey he's my husband so I'll go along with it.

I feel about him as I did about Ross Perot: it’s nice to have someone interesting in the race, who doesn’t fit the usual paradigm.

But as with Perot, he does come across as a bit nutty, and he has no chance of winning.

I follow Bobby on YouTube and didn't see this video in my subs, so I clicked through on the Althouse vid. This isn't Bobby's channel, but someone who has 300 followers and appears to have created the account recently specifically for this documentary. Those like numbers are pretty good, considering.

I’m guessing he has far greater appeal to traditional Dems who oppose Biden’s nutty immigration policies, Biden’s loving embrace of DEI policy, and Biden’s Ukrainian slush funding. Plus Biden’s only in it for the election. His plan is to install Kamala and to then step aside.
Biden’s other plan is to keep denying Kennedy’s Secret Service protection in order to outsource the “problem.”

OK, go ahead, tamper with the process somehow, ballot counting or the Electoral College, throw it into the House of Representatives. Some state delegations may shy away from supporting Trump or Biden. The country could do worse than Bobby Jr.

On the assassination of JFK: please, I just hope this can go away. The assassination of Bobby Sr. is a different matter; Bobby Jr. speaks with clarity about this. Sirhan Sirhan was shooting at Bobby, but didn't fire the fatal shot.

Fear of microwaves? This would be more the running mate, Nicole Shanahan, fear of electromagnetic radiation, which of course is now everwhere that there are people. The Charles character in Better Call Saul. I'm not buying it, so if Bobby is elected, I may have to hope his running mate doesn't take over. Not the first time.

His entry into attacking Big Pharma may have been "mercury in childhood vaccines--autism." The big papers by the Brit, Wakefield, were complete bullshit, and were retracted after ten years--much too late. As Bobby says, he was never against vaccines per se, but there is no evidence that thimerosal did or does any harm, and Bobby surely contributed to anti-vaxxism in general. Now he turns out to be correct about Covid vaccines, and fear of vaxx is so widespread, along with lockdowns, everything the public health officials say is greeted with skepticism.

I don't know about the Hudson River, but a lot of environmental progress was made because poor people will put up with pollution for the jobs, whereas rich people demand some fairly pristine landscapes. Also some pretty bad plants in Western countries have been replaced by terrible plants in Third World countries. Lots of trees growing in North America now.

It's sad to see so many of the commenters, who have obviously not watched the entire video, that have fallen into the anti-Kennedy propaganda trap that he specifically tells us about in the video.

It's OK to disagree with RFK Jr. on various issues, but the insults and name calling is inappropriate and childish. (And it demonstrates successful propaganda indoctrination.)

The two major parties have put up two terrible candidates. We need something better.

Yet, he is a long established member of the Democrat elite. His family name is more elite than any other Democrat family name.

Never-Biden Never-Putin said...

Rich did not click on the video. That is obvious.

Clyde said...

After watching the whole thing, I still have my doubts about RFK, Jr., on the issues. I don't think he would do what needs doing on our southern border and deporting a big chunk of the illegals who have invaded our country over the past three-years-plus. I suspect that he would run into the same problem that Trump ran into, which is that the Swamp is well-entrenched and does not want to be drained. Finding trustworthy people to implement policies of change may be impossible in Washington, D.C. Trump at least would know going into a second term that the bureaucracy is his enemy and needs to be cleaned out. The border and the Washington parasites that are eating our country alive are our biggest problems. Can Kennedy deal with them? Can Trump, for that matter? Or are we just fucked?

No fan club badge for me, but I'll keep listening.

Funny thing about comments like "he wanted climate deniers jailed" is these people believe lies coming from MAGA EXACTLY like people on the left believe lies coming from DNC and allied media. If you watch the full unedited clip from 2014, Kennedy is actually talking about Koch brothers and how they stole money from taxpayers by falsifying studies and bribing politicians. Use your brain and block anyone who posts cropped smear clips to push their propaganda. Both parties do it to Kennedy
