I had a Bulgarian friend in London who made himself a little apartment in a storage room in the basement of a south London block of flats where he had worked briefly. He had power and Internet and a bed, but no windows of course. He managed to live down there for almost two years before someone figured it out. He was happy as can be with the place. These days, it would probably rent for 150 pounds / week.

A poet maybe? or a writer, keeping a diary of what she saw looking down at the parking lot as people came in and dreaming up short stories. Or the great 21C American novel. A Place in the Neon.
The quotes sound a little scripted.
No mention of where she went to the bathroom?
