Just read that Bush had joined an NGO headed by Obama and Clinton, to help illegals come to the USA. NGO hands out information and routes and sometimes gives "all expenses paid" to cross the Border. No questions asked.

Hello! Wake up, Little Susie! It's simply about Steve Baker announcing last month without proof that the FBI said the DOJ would be charging him for his Jan. 6 reporting. And it's about his supposed lawyers threatening the FBI for something that has never happened. Where is the charging document?

wildswan said...: I've been commenting less frequently recently. Over Christmas I had 3 or 4 different colds and flues which I expected would immunize me for the next year. But amid the aches and pains and runny noses there was a dull, random, come-and-go ache in my side which turned out to be cancer. Now I'm waiting to see how serious it is. There'll be exploratory surgery in a few days and I'm hoping for the miracles of modern medicine to kick in. But maybe not. Maybe I'll just have to settle for the miracle of living while it lasts. My posts here might be irregular for this cause. But maybe not. Maybe I'll suddenly be a philosopher, looking at the reasons for the seasons and intruding metaphysics into politics. But maybe not. In the midst of my unwanted surprises, I had a wholly unregenerate interest in the Fall of Harvard. I was snapping up titbits about that in a way that was not very philosophical. And my thoughts on The Load on Fani are even less so. Maybe I'm just a sort of person all the way through, always was, and will be to the end and beyond if I've been right about the soul. That's what I'm hoping for. I don't mind a tough story but I've always "liked happily ever" after as an ending.; 1/23/24, 12:48 AM

Howard, are you aware the bomb found in plain site outside the DNC, survived a Secret Service sweep of the facilities prior to Harris showing up? The bombs could not be discovered too soon. "The Democratic Socialists of America, affiliated with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and other liberal leaders, is facing severe financial trouble, with the organization’s leaders calling for massive budget cuts and layoffs.

The seven-figure deficit comes after the DSA, which leads anti-Israel protests across the country, did not publicly condemn the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attacks.

“The current deficit will force us to make 7-figure budget cuts. This will require us to make painful decisions that will impact all levels of the organization. … Given our current financial state, we do not believe we can have a healthy, democratic, and effective organization while spending the amount we currently do on staff,” members of the DSA National Political Committee Kristin Schall, Alex Pellitteri, and Laura Wadlin wrote in the budget proposal.

“DSA is in a financial crisis and staff-related costs account for 58% of our total expenditures and 72% of our projected income,” they continued.

The DSA will cut $500,000 in staff-related expenses by taking volunteers from the director and bargaining unit and offering them severance, according to the proposal.

In addition to Ocasio-Cortez, the left-wing organization is home to other prominent Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Cori Bush (D-MO), and Greg Casar (D-TX).

Amanda Berman, the director of Zioness, a group of liberal Jewish activists who support Israel, said the DSA’s antisemitic actions have hurt the organization.

“DSA long ago fell into the trap of becoming so radical in the name of ‘justice’ that they abandoned the mission of the progressive movement,” Berman told the New York Post.

While many noteworthy liberals such as AOC and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) denounced the killing and raping of innocent Israeli civilians that took place on Oct. 7, the DSA reiterated its support for Gaza.

“Today’s events are a direct result of Israel’s apartheid regime—a regime that receives billions in funding from the United States.” the DSA wrote in an Oct. 7 statement.

However, under the headline “DSA Should be Thriving” in their proposal, DSA leaders expressed confusion about their financial decline.

“But how did this decline in revenue, membership, and overall excitement happen in the first place? This should actually be a really favorable time for DSA. I don't know how many lug nuts a nose wheel has, probably 6 to 12. The mechanic who changed that tire forget to torque the lug nuts to the required values, and then didn't check the tire after moving the jet a short distance.

The pilots are supposed to do a walk-around to check for things like that. They didn't notice the wheel was missing lug nuts?
