Trump's Legal Strategy Threatens Our Entire Justice System (w/ Michael Kruse) | Bulwark Podcast

(touch typing exercise, expert word salad, but click more for an index of points of view)

first of all as I say also in the piece he's never been in precisely this situation like the level of peril he faces is something new but the way he's responding to it and the tactics he's using to attack it to address it to try to get past it to try to get past november are not new at all and it's important i think for the people of this country to understand there are many ways to see donald trump of course but perhaps right now one of the most important ways is to acknowledge that he is and has been for more than 50 years a legal combatant who's learned over the course of those years and decades and is quite and has been quite effective at this when folks sort of wonder out loud and have been wondering for months for years really why doesn't accountability happen why doesn't the legal system catch up to him and the answer is in those 50 is in the lessons he's learned just the reality that he is as i say in the text of the story more prepared to deal with this sprawling multijurisdictional situation than maybe literally anybody on planet earth because of how he is interacted with the legal system as a defendant as a plaintiff on offense on defense as a businessman as a citizen for 50 plus years.

I'm getting this weird vibe that Trump is considering making Nikki his VP.

Not a Haley fan due to her romance with the CIA/NSA. But she had a good concession speech where she says she's not quitting yet. "The first party to retire its 80 year old candidate wins this race." Or something to that effect. LOL.

Came home with wet feet today. Suddenly it's puddle season, especially at the crosswalks.
Still, beats sub-zero.

The Nikki chorus, as she looses to Trump…

Out of one side of their mouths, she’s the only candidate who can beat Biden by double digits.

Then next, Trump needs to name Nikki VP or else he’ll loose.

The establishment really want Nikki to be Trump’s next in line.

If Trump choses her to be his VP, he should hire a food taster.

So I tried making pretzels for the first time last night. I even bought lye to soak them in. They puffed up a lot more than I realized they would in the oven. I also way over-salted them.

Biden got 45.7% of the vote via write-ins. The NOT-Biden vote is 54.3% That's landslide victory for NOT-Biden. The Biden camp should not be crowing about his supposed victory when the DCN screwed the pooch on the New Hampshire strategy.

The case in Georgia against President Trump is in its death throes. It is now obvious Fani Willis was pursing the case against Trump for fame, fortune, and media attention (with a little taxpayer funded romance on the side). I guess the White House neglected to hire for her a handler to make sure she didn't fly too close to the sun and get burned.

Good point, Mike of S. That's what all the smart kids have been telling us about Trump's win in Iowa.

Everybody seriously needs to watch these video clips of Glenn Greenwald explaining the ignorance that is running rampant on the left which shows how uneducated they are about history.

"But that's when he said something that truly surprised me. At about 3:10 in the video, he described how he went to a Trump rally to hear what the people had to say. He said when he saw the people waiting for the rally across the street from where he was, he went over and met about fifty Trump people.

"Every single one of them — thoughtful, hospitable, friendly," he said. "Frustrated, that they feel no one is listening to them, but Donald Trump. A diverse crowd. People who had never been to a Trump event before. My party is completely delusional right now and if someone has to wake us up, if that's my job, so be it.""

A pollster after Haley got smoked last night: "She kicked a field goal* in the first quarter and claiming victory".

* My sympathies to the Bills fans for referencing the term field goal still recovering from "wide right". That would be the long suffering Bills fans who made their Super Bowl reservations.

TDS and the last few years of anti-Trump fake crimes and accusations and spurious lawsuits brought to mind Jackson Browne's cutting 1983 song "Lawyers in Love":

I can't keep up with what's been going on
I think my heart must just be slowing down
Among the human beings in their designer jeans
Am I the only one who hears the screams
And the strangled cries of lawyers in love

God sends his spaceships to America, the beautiful
They land at six o'clock and there we are, the dutiful
Eating from TV trays, tuned into to Happy Days
Waiting for World War III while Jesus slaves
To the mating calls of lawyers in love

Last night I watched the news from Washington, the capitol
The Russians escaped while we weren't watching them, like Russians will
Now we've got all this room, we've even got the moon
And I hear the U.S.S.R. will be open soon
As vacation land for lawyers in love

https://songmeanings.com/songs/view/80829/

Despite its Cold War era origin 40 years ago, it's oddly on point about the establishment's fixation with Russia. The lawyers (establishment) both love and hate Trump. The opposite of hate is apathy, not love.

"K never stands a chance. The machinery is too big. The system is designed to favor the accuser, and to paint the accused as guilty. There is no presumption of innocence.

In the United States, only criminals have the expectation of a fair trial. Those who stand accused of political crimes, crimes of intent and no action, the crime of standing up for your belief, are squashed. And perhaps the worst part is that none of us can recognize it for the authoritarianism that it is. None of us can see past the curtain to the truth of it until it is ourselves in the crosshairs, and by then it's far too late." https://humanevents.com/2024/01/19/libby-emmons-voters-love-donald-trump-because-hes-the-only-man-successfully-standing-against-americas-kafkaesque-justice-system

THIS is why we need Trump. The Republicans are stabbing us all in the back. This is WAR as Andrew Breitbart used to say. Tell me again how TRUMP is the problem. The Republican party should go the way of the WHIGS and would if NOT for Donald Trump.

Alaska Airlines has found more 737-MAX-9s with missing door-plug bolts. Spirit Aerospace and Boeing must be falsifying Quality Assurance records for all of these planes to have missing bolts. Checking the bolt installation is the something that should be checked, yet the bolts are missing. But, I bet the QA inspectors meet all the diversity requirements, which don't include diligence and accuracy in doing one's job.

That door-plug was removed and reinstalled in Renton WA, the 737 manufacturing site. I guess bolts are now optional items for door-plugs.

Of course he hasn't. Trump people are evil and their motives don't count. Mutaman is incapable of thinking critically. In his favor though he rocgnises that we live in a republic and not a "democracy". It's doubtful though that he knows what a "republic" is.
