Found this youtube video about the 737-MAX-9 door blowout. The Quality Assurance systems used by Boeing and Spirit Aerospace Systems are different and incompatible. Spirit ships fuselages that still need work done, which is completed in Renton. This is a common problem in aircraft manufacturing, where a piece has defects when it leaves station A and these defects must be corrected at Station B. The paperwork must reflect that defect.

The door had a defect that must be corrected in Renton. Two methods to fix it, one requires inspecting the bolts, the other doesn't. But both methods require removing the bolts. Guess which method was used? The non-QA method.

Had my right-eye cataract removed Tuesday. I haven't seen this clearly since about 1965 . . . just getting used to no glasses for driving, etc., and X2 reading glasses for books and computer screens.

Young lady got probation and community service for murdering her boyfriend by stabbing him 108 times with a serrated kitchen knife. Turns out she was under the influence of the Demon Weed! (Some people will believe anything.)

What's that line? No woman should ever be made to feel responsible for, or bad about, anything she does?

TORONTO SUN: This was a jihad-like terror attack in Canada that no one seems to know about

"It’s not every day there is a jihadist-inspired terror attack in Canada related to Israel’s war in Gaza that few seem to know about.

But it did happen and the country is just fortunate no one was murdered in the process. The potential was definitely there.

This was an all-out Gaza-inspired, jihadist terror attack with gunfire and home-made bombs at Edmonton’s City Hall on Tuesday and not a word out of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau about it so far. In fact, on X he was talking about being at the women’s professional hockey game in Ottawa.

This was a terrifying incident. Security video shows a man entering Edmonton’s City Hall wearing a Commissionaires Security jacket and carrying a long gun and appearing to shoot it. Police say he was “heavily” armed.

But no one seems to be talking about it much.

It’s almost like this potentially genocidal rampage was missed by the country. Or even covered up or softened in terms of its seriousness.

Certainly, when you compare the coverage to the reaction of media and politicians on the truckers’ Freedom Convoy or the arrests and trials of Tamara Lich, Chris Barber and Pat King or the Coutts Alberta four conspiracy to commit murder case, it’s a head scratcher how understated this incident has been so far when you weigh and compare the evidence.

What happened here is way more serious than anything that happened with the truckers protest. But you would never know that judging from the reaction of the the media and political class.

However things are spun about what happened in Edmonton Tuesday, this was clearly as dark and concerning as something can ever get. In addition to the horror of security video showing the armed man during his attack, a taped manifesto which included Arabic greetings was also discovered.

This was one close call to being something nobody could even attempt to downplay.

Let’s review what we know.

“At approximately 10:18 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024, a male parked his vehicle in the City Hall underground parkade, then entered the building from the parkade access,” Edmonton Police say. “Once inside City Hall, he lit several handheld incendiary devices, believed to be Molotov cocktails, that caused one small fire outside an elevator. He then fired several rounds from a long gun into the ceiling, walls and windows.”

Thankfully “no one was struck by gunfire” and that a brave security officer knew what to do.

“The male then dropped the firearm on the floor and surrendered to a City Hall security Commissionaire, who detained him until police arrived moments later,” police said, adding they “and RCMP Tactical teams then worked for several hours to secure and clear the building of any further threats, escorting out citizens who had been sheltering in place in various locations throughout City Hall.”

More at the link. Edmonton is in Alberta.

Need some help from the life science experts. The RSV vaccine is a mRNA product. Just like the reviled you know what vaccine. My amateur research revealed that it was tested pretty extensively unlike the vaccine which shall remain nameless. My level of trust in the scientists and bureaucrats is pretty low these days. I’m wondering if any of you have an opinion on this to help me understand and decide whether to get the shot.

Can someone legitimately explain to me why it is advantages to have uncontrolled border crossing as a means of immigration rather than a proper controlled method?

Give that:
1. The travel to is dangerous, especially for women and children
2. That it allows the unsavory better access than those who are more upstanding
3. That it benefits criminal gangs and impoverishes the migrants
4. That it allows for more drug running.
5. Automatically puts the migrants at a disadvantage for work and housing because of their illegal status.

Why is it that the Democrats and many of the establishment republicans prefer this method rather than just increasing the legal quota ?

I am not asking for the conservatives her for snarky answers. I really want to hear from our lefties and GOPe types why you think this is a good idea and why you support politicians who advocate for such life-disregarding methods?

Just say no to any and all mRNA shots or therapies. They may have tested- but not long term. And quality control appears to be deficient with every batch of “identical” mRNA shots being different.

Besides which- RSV is mostly no more than an annoyance. Get your Vitamin D level tested and supplement up to 50 ng/ml if not there already. Add a daily Vitamin K, preferably with all 3 forms. Look at your diet and your multivitamin/mineral supplement to see if you’re getting enough zinc. I don’t take any extra zinc. I eat more than the average amount of zinc rich red meat.

That’s your overall best body protection against all URIs.

Other things have been mentioned here by me and others. I’m a fan of daily nasal irrigation, basic formula 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp baking soda. You need both. I add 1 tsp each xylitol and erythritol. Some add povidine and iodine- I have yet to see how much.

I used to ask this; I never got a good answer. At one time, it was claimed that building a border wall was "too expensive". As the cost of uncontrolled immigration has exceeded what it would have cost for a wall, you don't hear that anymore.

"To compound the strangeness of it all, recall that Kamala Harris covered up her presence at the DNC building on January 6th for almost a year. For nearly a year, Kamala led the media to believe that she was in the Capitol during the so-called siege. Even the Department of Justice took this false understanding for granted and mentioned Kamala’s alleged presence and evacuation from the Capitol during the “siege” to add a sense of gravitas to several of its indictments. It turns out Kamala was not at the Capitol as it was being evacuated on the 6th, but rather at the DNC building while the allegedly live pipe bomb was still right outside. Why on earth would Kamala Harris keep her presence in the DNC building a secret? It would seem like the story of the first woman of color Vice President elect in history coming within feet of the deadly pipe bombs of the January 6 insurrection would be a headline that both Kamala and the regime media would be interested in milking for all it is worth. How strange is it, come to think of it, that in Joe Biden’s big January 6 anniversary speech he neglects to mention that his own Vice President narrowly lost her life to a MAGA pipe bomb?"

Depends on your situation. If you are old or in poor health, you should probably get the shot. I’m 57 and healthy, I’ve had 3 shots and COVID once. I’m not anti-vaxx (I get a flu shot most years), but at the moment I have no interest in getting a 4th. COVID isn’t a threat to most people (we owe it to our children to hold the public health officials responsible for what they did to them).

Unless you are high risk, it’s just another virus going around and, while the vaccine is probably safe, it’s not all that effective. For most people, the total picture does not weigh enough in favor of the vaccine to justify the risks.

Texas has not violated any Supreme Court order. The problem is, the media is lying about what the court ordered. Stop relying on journalists and go to the source--learn what the actual order was.

My 2 cents worth; what Howard said also applies.
I spent >4 decades in the medical world. I heard lots of things about how bad RSV can be for babies, how so many were hospitalized and some tragically died from the disease.
I never heard anything about RSV affecting adults.
That is totally non-scientific, just like so much else that we are told to follow today.
FWIW, I don't believe that the covid pandemic was a hoax. It did kill a lot of people, mostly old folks who would not have survived their next tight haircut, but also more than a few younger people, many but not all of whom were morbidly obese, poorly controlled diabetics, or immunosuppressed. The vaccines were useful in decreasing the Wuhan strain of the virus; I took the shot and 1 booster in early 2021. The virus later transitioned to a less deadly and more contagious form, as every virologist in the world predicted, and subsequently the push for everyone to get multiply boosted became more and more virtue signaling by lefties, profit-oriented by Pfizer, et. al., and a means of control for those who get their jollies controlling what other people do.
I took no more covid shots after the first 2. No RSV shot for me. I did continue to take annual flu shots and did take the 1st shingles shot- to my mind these have been at least somewhat tested and can prevent more serious problems.
Your mileage will vary.

The migrants are now coming here, in well-organized, perfectly timed, practiced, military precision. Look at the planning that went into that landing. They must have done this many times before.
Many people are asking how the hell that boat got through right there next to the signature port of the world's mightiest Navy, with the home of the great nuclear submarines just down the coast at Point Loma?

Was nobody guarding the coast? Or are migrants simply being waved through, perhaps for a handsome cartel payment? Who pays for that disposable boat with its $20,000 engine?"
