Well... he wasn't taking about the paper. He was talking about Amazon costumer service phone wait time. Something way more important.

I'm sure sex in an empty Senate hearing room in nothing new. Not foreign to the Oval Office either. I don't really give a shit about the "sanctity" of the Senate or the Oval Office.

But doesn't it seem strange we know the identity of the anal sex receiver, but not the giver Why do we only know the identity of the Venus and not the Mars?

It's kind of like the Epstein scandal. We know a few of the young women, but the shtoopers are protected.

Wife and I ate dinner with the kitchen TV on, and I saw a commercial for the charity "Samaritan's Purse." That caused me to remember that while the federal and Hawaiian governments were dithering and dothering in the days following the Maui fires (FEMA was basically only taking down names and contact information, not providing shelter or food or water) Samaritan's Purse flew a DC-8 loaded with supplies into the island. I will be donating to them, and urge the rest of you to do the same. Their website is here.

Clyde's Top 15 Favorite "New" Songs of 2023 - #12 - "California Sober" - Billy Strings (Feat. Willie Nelson) - Single (2023)

One of the best young bluegrass players collaborating with a country legend. What's not to like?

Clyde's Top 15 Favorite "New" Songs of 2023 - Honorable Mentions (Part 4 of 5) - "White Rabbit" - Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway (2023)

Continuing with today's bluegrass theme, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway recorded this song in 2022, then did a live video in full Alice in Wonderland costume this year. This would probably have ranked higher for me if I'd listened to it more often, but I enjoyed the heck out of it when I found it a few months back.

Bonus song: "White Freight Liner Blues" - Tommy Emmanuel & Molly Tuttle (2023)

An awesome picking exhibition here.

Landmark Supreme Court Case Could Upend Jan. 6 Prosecutions

Excerpt:

"The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to take up a Jan. 6 case that challenges the most frequently charged felony from that day could upend more than 330 criminal cases and eliminate the most potent weapon wielded by the Department of Justice (DOJ).

On Dec. 13, the High Court granted certiorari to a petition of appeal from Jan. 6 defendant Joseph W. Fischer, 57, of Jonestown, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Fischer is among the hundreds of defendants in cases regarding the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol breach who are charged with corruptly obstructing an “official proceeding”—the joint session of Congress that met to tally Electoral College votes and hear objections from members.

The DOJ put the Jan. 6 protesters in its sights with the unprecedented use of a 2002 evidence-tampering statute to prosecute them for delaying the counting of votes from the 2020 presidential election.
"

What was that statute, codified in 18 U.S. Code § 1512? It was part of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, also known as the "Public Company Accounting Reform and Investor Protection Act" (in the Senate) and "Corporate and Auditing Accountability, Responsibility, and Transparency Act" (in the House).

Via XTwitter:

U.S. Capitol Police are expanding outside of Washington D.C.

"After January 6th, they opened two satellite offices in Tampa, Florida and San Francisco, California.

They just recently opened offices in Texas, Milwaukee and Boston too.

USCP claim they’re opening these offices, “due to the increased threat environment.”

When I asked USCP for the data that supports their claims—they couldn’t get back to me on that.

Why is @SpeakerJohnson allowing this to happen?

Can Republican AGs pushback on this?

Killer Cop fits the Biden/Pelosi Cartel mold...

Michael Byrd, the Capitol police officer who murdered Ashli Babbitt on January 6, seems to have no fear of the government coming after him. He has owed the government $56,366 since 2019.

Apart from being willful and illegal, Justice Jackson’s omission creates serious recusal issues. The nature of her husband’s work on legal medical malpractice consultation inherently creates significant conflicts of interest about which parties and the public are entitled to know,” the letter said.

Finally tested clear of COVID. It was like a moderate cold, except I was very low energy for a week after the symptoms cleared. I was using a pulse ox and was testing around 96 to 97, but now at 99 and feeling great. Now I just need to finish up getting this place ready for winter.

The album, and individual tracks, for "Mystic Mayhem" are now for sale through bandcamp. You can still hear the whole album (for free) on Soundcloud. Give it a listen, if you haven't, already: I'm rather proud of myself, though I can't get the full album art illustration to fit hardly anywhere.

I'll be back to "feel the love" soon.

Here’s a thought experiment:

Texas decides that the illegal influx is an invasion, as mentioned in the constitution regarding the state militias’ powers.

Abbott not only puts up obstacles - he covers them with fire. Interlocking machine gun fans, mortar final protective fires, snake ‘n nape, the works.

To keep things simple, the obstacles are backed off from the border and all ordnance impacts on Texan soil. So he’s not making war on Mexico.

First big bloc of illegals gets hosed down in the wire, like it’s 1914.

At some point before that happens, Bei Den federalizes the Guard.

Abbot’s carefully selected people refuse the order, claiming Zhou wants them to violate the Constitution they swore to defend.

Does Bei Den start Article 32 processes against thousand of service members? Who’s going to arrest them?

Do the guardsmen immediately do lawfare to stop the UCMJ action by filing in every court they can think of? (Works for AQ)

Does Austin roll out the federal forces from Forts Hood, Bliss, etc (or whatever theyre called now) to seize the border back from the Guard?

Do those troops follow the orders?

Does Abbott send Texas cops onto the forts to seize the ammo before the regulars can write the orders to requisition it out of the ammo dumps?

How does it end?

Nope. One Texas Ranger for each fort.

Abbot calls for each district or county to call up and train a company of militia. Each militia member is to bring their personal AR15 and ten loaded magazines. Plus a side arm of their choice. The milia serves at the Governors pleasure.
No need to worry if the guard is loyal or not or if the POTUS will attach them.

On other websites it's:

"I just listened to the whole thing. It is great! Amazing work! Glad you have been keeping yourself creative and productive."

Or

"I like the production of the whole thing— the blending of beats, samples guitar tracks, etc. Where were you is my fave— reminds me of “Step right up” by Tom Waits but directed at homeopathic mystical crunchy culture. I also like lyrics of Sugar Free and You wuz high …and your cover drawing."

But here?

"We can still access Hamas and ISIS social media so we can still read what you would be writing."
