"Are the Secret Service okay with the polar bears?"

My last post linked to my "I'm for Boring" tag, and I clicked on it and read a bunch of old posts. The ones from the last few years are nearly all about Biden.

Feel free to check them out. I just wanted to quote one thing I wrote in a post on March 3, 2020:
By the way, I had a dream about Donald Trump last night. I was at some sort of artsy song and spoken-word performance, in an intimate pink room with long comfy sofas. There were several polar bears reclining on a sofa, along with Donald Trump. This was right next to me, and I wanted to get some personal conversation with Trump, something I could remember and talk about. He was enjoying the show and singing along, being quite charming and talking to everyone. I leaned over and asked him, "Are the Secret Service okay with the polar bears?"

“Is” instead of “are?”

You’re funny while sleeping! Nice trick.

That’s a pretty wild dream. It seems puzzling that it has the “I’m for boring” tag now but as I recall that was your campaign tag, which also explains Biden’s name in the tag. It brings up the question of how you go about assigning tags, what drives your occasional efforts to curate, delete or re-tag old posts. And the current foray into posts with the “I’m for boring” tag itself. Is that just curiosity?

It’s probably evident that I enjoy these brief “behind the blog” posts. They are both rare and interesting to me.

Polar bears get a lot more common in public life every Christmas due to the Coke commercials.

I am now inspired to create an AI image of Trump riding a polar bear followed by a pack of polar bears while he cradles a baby polar bear in his arms.

Dall-E here I come.

True, but I don't watch commercials and my dream occurred in March.

I've got to interpret the pink sofas as a vagina and the polar bears as white supremacy.

Funny, I subconsciously associate "boring" with pelicans.

I subconsciously substituted ‘panda bears’ for ‘polar bears’ when first reading this, but now that I know you were dreaming about polar bears, it all makes sense.

Ann's description reads like a prompt used to make an AI image.

Very funny : )

I wonder if AI will be used to record our dreams so we could watch them on TV the next day.

It's headed that way...

That's the PG interpretation...

This sounds like a prompt for making an AI generated image but ... when I tried I got the dreaded, "Something may have triggered Microsoft's Responsible AI guidelines."

It worked without "Donald Trump" but what fun is that?

Obviously scrolling down to today's first post by Althouse would have answered some of my questions. I admit to continually being surprised by things in reverse chronological order. Especially before I've drank my first cup of coffee.

Of course the Polar Bears represent white supremacy. After all, they are used every year to advertise Coca Cola, that most American of all American products and every one KNOWS that the US is, was, and always will be dedicated to white supremacy. Plus, as the apex predator of all apex predators, polar bears embody the settler-colonialist US as it dominates and steals all good things from all the black and brown people of the earth.
I expect this essay will get me into Harvard despite my unfortunate preponderance of northern European genetic material.

Thanks for reminding me of this dream of yours. I thought it was hilarious at the time and still do.

The polar bears could have been refreshing the "polar bear plunge": an event held during the winter where participants enter a body of water despite the low temperature.

That sounds about right, especially if the dream occurred after the debate Trump said Megyn Kelly had 'blood coming out of her... wherever'.

Trump laughed and said, "Lady, the bears ARE the Secret Service."

Polar bears make me think of Japan because of this song.

I looked up the symbolism of the polar bear as a spirit animal, with no connection to Donald Trump, and numerous sites said the polar bear represents tremendous strength and having the courage to stand up to your challenges. Maybe that's true about Trump (who hangs out with fellow polar bears in your dream) but also about you as well. Even admitting to being neutral about Trump takes a great deal of fearlessness when you live among progressives, let alone agreeing with him.

FIFY.

That image is a lot more Putin-esque, isn't it?
