"In a matchup for the White House, President Joe Biden is virtually tied with former President Donald Trump among Minnesota voters...."

MinnPost reports.

There's a big gender gap: "Fifty-six percent of women polled, and just 35% of men, said they favor Biden. Meanwhile, just 32% of Minnesota women polled, and 53% of men, said they support Trump."

You have to go back to 1972 to find the last presidential election where Minnesota voted for the Republican:

Democrats aren't worried about losing Minnesota, as in that state they'll find all the extra election day votes they need in graveyards, nursing homes, or the back of somebody's car a week or two later. What does have them worried is that if the anti-Biden trending is nation wide they might not be able to fraud their way to victory in every needed state. They did it in 2020, but that was because of Covid era mail in ballots. Don't know if they'll be able to get away with that again.

It will be Biden. The fix is in. Not to sound like Mick. Not exactly sticking the neck out with this one…

Our national political stalemate may end with a "shocking" upset by one party or another. California and New York vote for a Republican? Texas and Florida vote for a Democrat? A 3rd party candidate (Trump, and beyond) transforms an old party into a fresh new party?

These semi-revolutions do indeed happen. The Rs were the health (temperance movement) progressives of the 19th century, and then flamed out with crazy alcohol prohibition. The Ds recently supported the working class and demanded freedom of speech for all, and very recently condemned child abuse, exploitation, and mutilation. Etc.

I don't think real change happens until the age 70+ political geriatrics are out of power. Then, stale memories of the Good Old Days will be gone and we can rebuild. Rosalynn Carter just died. Henry Kissinger just died. Who's next?

TECHNICALLY, minnesota's faithless elector voted for an Ewards/Edwards ticket
I'm NOT Sure WHO this Ewards would have been; but i ASSUME he was a minnesota school teacher.
Two Things ARE for sure:
The "faithless elector" was a minnesota school product
The minnesota schools are NOT as good as people in minnesota claim

As a resident Minnesotan, I can't wait for the exploding heads if Trump actually does carry the state. The Minneapolis and Twin Cities Reddits will be especially entertaining, given the cesspool of leftism. These were the same people that were celebrating Chauvin being stabbed in prison.

Not to worry, I am sure if it's that close, a car trunk full of ballots will show up at the last minute to put Biden over the top. This move is called a "Franken" and only deranged conspiracy theorists would find anything suspicious about it.

Remember when Hillary thought it would be a great idea to delegitimize a sitting American President? Well how is that working out now that the shoe is on the other foot? Except that Joe Biden really is illegitimate, it's not some propaganda feint made up out of desperation after Ukraine tried to help Hillary get elected, and the whole thing needed to be buried pronto.

The first accusation is the one that sticks, so if you are guilty of something, be sure to accuse the other side of whatever you did before the truth can get on its pants, and that's what Hillary did.

The Star-Tribune showed images of some of the ballots from the recount. They looked like they were filled in by people who had, er, limited cognition. In one case, a vote for Coleman was scratched out and Franken's bubble was filled in.

Al Franken was "elected" to the Senate by Minnesota after "ballots" were found after the election. I'm sure they have a nice absentee voter fraud apparatus in place like WI, GA, PA, AZ, and MI.

The reality is Trump won 2020 by a landslide. Now we just play make believe as America turns to shit.

This is an absurd statement… and a good indicator of being well out of touch.

The US economy is now doing better than it has in a quarter century by many metrics, the polls don’t yet reflect that reality.

I was going to bring up the 19th earlier this morning, but planetgeo got there first. Well done. The 19th will never be revisited, but one can hope.

First, let me answer your question. A: Jimmy Carter

Now, I'll ask you a question. Q: when you say "we can rebuild", what makes you think that the "we" who will be doing the rebuilding are the majority of types who comment here rather than the Cook/Inga/Chuck/Crack/Vicki/Mutaman type commenters?

As Sean Trende pointed out the other day in RealClearPolitics, Trump consistently out-performed his polling in both 2016 and 2020. The male-female split is no surprise to anyone living in a college town. Hard to say if the mail in ballot scheme (I'm assuming Minnesota has 100% mail in like Colorado) will effectively squelch the male vote for Trump.

"Gender gap"? If it's true that a majority of women favor Biden against anybody, it's a hell of a lot more than a gender gap. It's a sanity gap.

This ranks right up there with letting their need for unprotected sex dictate the future course of the nation.

Maybe the pollsters are talking to people who buy groceries, gasoline and clothing and are unable to buy houses and/or pay the rent.

Democrats will lie us right into the ash heap. "The economy is great. The border is secure. Crime is under control. Biden is fit. Etc."

Minnasota has always been a clown state. Its too bad we can't give it to Canada. Guess everything justs great in Minnasota, no inflation, no rising gas prices, no housing problem, no crime or immigrants, so voting for Biden makes perfect sense. And who cares about the rest of the country or the world?

They remind me of New Englanders. Just troop to the polls and vote Liberal/left - no matter what.
