"Don't start creating a generation of wimps and weak people... Let's not over-baby people."
"Let's go and teach kids to be tough, to do sports, to study and struggle and go through these kind of painful moments sometimes."

No girly men!
It's called "tough love." Children don't need to be constantly coddled. The most successful adults are the ones who had put up with adversary and problems as children and learned how to deal with them successfully.
If you don't learn how to deal with setbacks in life, you'll be a constant victim that will never advance and become an independent adult.
"Don't start . . . . "
That unicorn bolted long ago.
Didn't this guy bang some fat, ugly Mexican broad he brought in to watch his kids?
Arnold, bro, you're a little late to the party about America creating a nation of pussies.
So Arnold, what do you do when you find your son is fucking the maid and ignoring his wife?
Some fatherly advice, please.
This is the guy who said "F*ck your freedom!"
Thankfully my wife was the one who kept our daughter inline. Good ol' Dad was just too much of creampuff pushover. I'd never have burned my daughter's shoes.
My wife would've done it.
Yeah, but she was wearing them at the time.

Unless, of course, you're afraid of getting COVID. Then it's "Screw your freedoms."
Fuck him.
He is right that children need challenges and to learn to handle age appropriate problems, but being right about that doesn't make him an expert on child rearing. I don't think anyone should be taking advice from a shoe burner. That's nutty.
Every morning I watch dozens of parents walking their kids to school. My mother walked me to school maybe once. On the first day of kindergarten.
I am reminded of that guy, Ryan Carson, who was murdered this week in Brooklyn, and how he did not even fight back. He was so much bigger, with more weight and much longer arms, than his attacker. Imo Carson could have easily punched out that guy or kicked him in the balls and knocked him to the ground. Where was the natural response, the adrenaline?? So strange to see such a large man behave like that, so weak. Yes, he was willing to shield his girlfriend which was admirable, but the impression I got was that he was too afraid to fight. IDK
A nonstarter. Overbabying without accountability is the essence of progressivism, the only adversity and punishment to be meted out by the state against wrongthinking deplorable deviants.
Too easy: THE MACHO RESPONSE
When it's this obvious I'm a prophet, I'll admit it, if no one else will,...
Is this quote from 1993? Because otherwise it's about 30 years too late.
When I started The Macho Response, some people told me the name would turn others off. To which I replied, grow a couple.
I knew society would come around.
Except for Google spell-check.
We are trying to raise kids that never know defeat, delayed gratification, illness, conflicting opinions or boundaries.
Sooner or later those millions of little bubbles will burst.
Invest in stuffed, comfort animals.
And, yes, f**k Arnold.
