"And when you have the President of United States sleeping with a member of the teachers union, there is no chance that you could take the stranglehold away from the teachers union every day. "

Said Chris Christie, in last night's GOP debate.

Later, from Mike Pence: "I’ve been sleeping with a teacher for 38 years."

(From the transcript, at The Pavlovic Today.)

Ouch, that left a mark.

But it is true. Teachers unions are why 40% of Baltimore schools dont have a single student that can cypher. NOT. A. SINGLE. STUDENT.

Jill Biden is a very prominent spokesperson for and member of the radical NEA. She trains teachers in NEA politics. She is active in policy and organizing. Her Party endorses their vile agenda and profits from it to the degree that it creates more than an impression of impropriety.

Pence's wife is not a union member, but his behavior displays his disinterest, if not shocking ignorance, of the NEA's agenda.

This should be his swan song. And what happened to his famous respect for women? He degrades his wife for bragging he sleeps with her, rather than being married to her.

Chris Christie? Mike Pence? Most unimportant conversation of the day.

Just as Vivek should have told Nikki Haley she's merely reminded how dumb she is every time he speaks, Christie should've called Pence a "teacher's pet" who's made his point for him.

Trump wouldn't have missed those openings.

Is Jill Biden a member of the teacher's union?

She teaches, as an adjunct (part timer) I believe at a community College.

The teachers unions only rep k-12 as I understand it.

More bullshit from cheisyie.

Yeah Mike, but is there a Union for Teachers Who Sleep With Pence International? Has she requested a 40% raise? Has she ever been on strike?

Sounds dangerous! Pence sleeping with a teacher. Do they have sexual intercourse?

Pence, Tim Scott and Nikki Haley are old time Republicans. Completely out of touch.

Scott's pitch: I'm Black and I've succeeded in this country. America is the greatest country in the world. That's it.

Who can disagree with that? But what are you going to DO about all the problems we have now.

Ron and Vivek are the only two candidates even worth considering.

New Jersey, Baltimore, Chicago, Philadelphia, St Louis...war zones. And teachers supposed to go easy on certain students because racism.

Teachers need all the legal protection they can get.

I bet more people have fallen asleep in the vicinity of Mike Pence than just about any other person in history.

Pence forgot to mention the percale sheet partition that's hanging between the two twin beds he and his wife sleep in separately.

Members of Gen Z will be paying for having been taught by NEA union members for decades to come.

Wasn't Mrs GW (Laura) Bush -- by profession, if not employment -- a school librarian, eligible to join a union? (Although, in Texas schools, none of the four available teachers' unions have anywhere near the clout common in NY)

As with most unions, were the body to confine itself to issues of actual employment, wages, working conditions, dispute resolution ... I doubt the public would care as much. It's when the union stakes out a position demanding something unrelated to the job that others get bent. Why should teachers organize to de-fund the police, or impose carbon "cap-and-trade" schemes, construct high-speed rail lines, or ship drones to Ukraine? From local to international issues, there are discussions to be had where individuals should do their own homework and decide for themselves. Members should not be boxed into bloc support for the union's position. And CERTAINLY paychecks should not be docked for union dues devoted to political advocacy outside the industry's area of expertise.

Self-defeating line of argument. All it does is remind us who Trump is sleeping with.

Pence did begin his remark with a statement that his wife was not a union member, but I thought it was funnier to quote him more minimally.

I don't want to think about Mike Pence let alone Mike Pence having sex. Yuk!

Well you can bet that Mike Pence only does missionary. I can't think of a tighter white guy than Pence. And maybe Whale Boy Christie was trying to harpoon Dr. Jill and Slow Joe.

There's a reason I didn't bother to watch the debate--my favorite baseball team was winding up its season long implosion and I had to watch to see if the wreck was final--it wasn't.

Speaking of candidates bed habits, remember this woman?

Susanna Gibson, who is running to represent the 57th District in the Old Dominion's House of Delegates, trails Republican David Owen by 49.5% to 38.9%, a Cygnal poll exclusively obtained by The Post shows. Owen, a businessman, held a 4% lead among those voters when Cygnal conducted a previous survey of the race in August -- before the Washington Post broke the news of Gibson's online sex shows. NY Post article crediting WaPo with "breaking" the story on her.

Apparently voters reacted naturally to her exhibitionism. Gibson's unfavorability rating has increased from 12.5% to 45.2% among likely district voters since the WaPo story broke and everybody started asking "Did you hear about the chaturbate candidate?" Her 15 minutes are already up.

Christie's description is metaphorically accurate, but not a pleasant image. I'm not sure if Biden, Weingarten, or me would be the least likely to enjoy it manifested. I think general ews would be in order, but Biden is in one of his fogs he might not mind. I suppose it depends if the hair is sniffable.

Pence's quip is amusing.

Trump's statement regarding milley's chinese call:

"This is an act so egregious that, in times gone by, the punishment would have been DEATH! A war between China and the United States could have been the result of this treasonous act."

milley acted out of hand. He violated the chain of command. The US military is lead by the Commander in Chief. If milley disagreed with Trump's actions, he had a duty to let his Commander know his disagreement, offer advice and if he felt strongly enough, resign. So yes, in times gone by, what milley did would have been seen as treason (and is treason in my eyes) and treason was punishable by death. But you go rich, keep Trump in your head and keep your life long republican panties in a wad.
