It is likely that she was demanding and possibly demeaning. It is not unusual for a diva-like personality (as many artists are) and a high stress environment. Apologize, do better and make the staff sign a waiver saying that the work environment is stressful, and if they can't handle the heat, find another kitchen. I wonder if Gordon Ramsay has his contestants sign such a waiver. Has not not as Kind as Lizzo was on Hell's Kitchen.

Seriously, no one "deserves" respect - they earn it. If you eat bananas out of a stripper's vagina so as to cling to your paycheck, maybe that establishes just how much respect you "deserve." I suspect these people had established just how much respect they deserved over time, and the workplace did not go from smiley happy to eating vagina bananas in a single evening.
