"In the hours after former president Donald Trump was indicted Tuesday, President Biden dined at a seafood restaurant, stopped by a movie theater to watch the summer blockbuster 'Oppenheimer' and took a twilight stroll on the beach."

"He did not issue a statement on the indictment of his predecessor for allegedly seeking to overturn the last election. America’s other living presidents — Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter — also stayed mum on the matter. Rushing into the void, partisan actors unleashed bitterly accusatory rhetoric that threatens to engulf both the court case and the presidential race. The indictment’s aftermath has showcased how the country lacks a trusted singular voice of moral authority...."

"In the days since Trump’s indictment, Biden has declined to address such allegations. Riding his bike for the fourth day in a row Thursday, Biden ignored reporters’ inquiries about Trump’s indictment and answered brusquely when asked if he’d consider pausing to answer their questions: 'Probably not,' he said, riding by with a wave...."

The ultimate hypocrisy is trying to hide your hypocrisy. Trying to hide, mind you, everyone knows but only the serfs of the Left pretend not to see it and are therefore complicit in Biden's sanctimonious humbuggery.

In the aftermath of the complete politization of everything, up to and including arts, health, science, sports, education and religion, every voice has now a stake in election outcomes.

Finding a "trusted voice" to reassure the country is as unrealistic as finding an impartial jury to try Trump.

The indictment boils down to an attempt to prosecute a politician for "lying", which if allowed to stand could render all government agencies inoperable... wait... maybe there is a silver lining after all.

Notice how anyone who is critical of these Nazi-esque criminal accusations - why those people are just "partisan actors" to be dismissed.

No trusted figure has emerged on the Democrat Party side because nobody trusts the lot of you. We all know who is behind these charges and why he's keeping his mouth closed: Barack Obama. He's got his hands full with dead people showing up on his property. Reminiscent of Hillary Clinton and the Kennedy's.

We're ready for the national divorce, or Civil War, whatever you want to call it. We're done with you people.

"No trusted figure has emerged to reassure the country in a shattering moment" (WaPo)."

These idiots are so out of touch that they think their trusted figures would reassure the country. And what would this "trusted figure" say? 'Don't be alarmed. The US is not becoming a Banana Republic. Trust me.' ?

This is an extremely dangerous course they have chosen.

Breezy said...

I don’t want answers from Biden about the indictments. I want answers from Biden about the extortion and bribery racket of which he’s been accused.

Does WaPo really not care about this at all? They’re already at risk at being thoroughly engulfed in responsibility for hiding it to begin with. You’d think they’d try to backtrack on that and save some face!

Milo Minderbinder said...

Anyone who thinks they need a comment from Biden to understand what is undeniably lawfare against one's political opponent is a lost cause.

Deep down, Biden must know he'll eventually run out of Trump indictments and other distractions from his own criminal malfeasance.

Roger Sweeny said...

Every presidential campaign I can remember has been more than a little dishonest. The idea that a former president should be "a trusted singular voice of moral authority" is kind of ridiculous. Not surprisingly, it comes from the hometown paper of the federal government.

Didn't Al Gore sue and sue and sue to overturn the election??? And refused to concede?

Hasn't been 20 years.. so why isn't he in jail?

Everyone other than hyper-partisan leftists think this case is total BS. Even LIVs. The only people this is playing to are the true believer leftists. This is going to hurt them. The only question is will their corruption manage to steal another election.

I've seen Oppenheimer twice. It is that great.

The frightening thing about the movie is that Joe Biden has access to the nuclear codes. He's can't do that job. He'd get it wrong. And the whole world would be vaporized.

Just saw Vivek in Iowa. He flat out said it. Biden was bribed by Burisma and Ukraine got $20 billion.

Biden has been riding his bike for four whole days and hasn't fallen! I don't trust Biden to admit that his bike has training wheels.

The WaPoo and the New York Times staff writes in a vaporous cloud composed of fairy dust, bull dust, and hallucinogenic drugs. That's the only way they can produce this codswallop and put if on their dead tree pages.

#1 Q: does Biden know Trump has been indicted? [since he is not in business with DOJ! and has not participated in phone call with them.]

The Godfather said...

I keep hearing on the News that Trump is "the first President" who has been accused of such-and such. But why don't we hear that Biden is the "first President" who has used the DOJ and FBI to silence the principal opponent to his reelection?

Oppenheimer: I was going to give it a miss, on the grounds that Hollywood always screws up historical films. But then I read Bob Zubrin's review. Getting Strauss wrong, and under-emphasizing the importance and timing of Oak Ridge and Hanford, I can live with.

Is the gas lighting never to cease?

We spent 2 years having our trusted govt, use that, singular trusted voice, to strip us of constitutional rights and lie about everything related to covid. ie, a vaccine that neither prevented contracting said virus, or the transmission of.

There is a long list of other abuses of that, trusted singular voice, but I would be labeled a conspiracy nut, pouncing.

Which fools? The ones who consider those who don't live in NY/DC/LA as deplorables in flyover country? I'm sure what they don't realize amounts to a hell of a lot more than they do realize.

How so? We've known all along they would try to get Trump BAMN and the rule of law is a figment of old imaginations. There was nothing left to shatter.

Because that is not what has happened.

J Melcher said...

So Biden hasn't said anything about Trump? This is news?

Bill Clinton hasn't said anything, or if he has, he said it off the record on deep background and it wasn't anything substantive enough to leak. GW Bush hasn't said anything, or ... Ditto most anybody in comparable positions to understand the issues.

It's pretty weak tea to spend time reporting what ISN'T said.

Speaking of a Bush and the movie *Oppenheimer*, I didn't hear any reviews mention Vannevar Bush. Odd, that?

Biden is thumbing his nose at 80m+ well armed American voters. The only explanations for these indictments is that Trump is such a threat he has to be destroyed (they charged him with a crime that has the possibility of death) and/or they want those 80m well armed Americans to openly and violent revolt. I think it’s probably both. The result of all this will be an authoritarian regime in the US for the rest of our short lifetimes.

Of course not—we’re all too shattered. No American politician has ever been accused of lying before.

Wonderful. The left works overtime to turn the country into a Banana Republic and then trots out a “journalist” to fret about the need for a “trusted voice.” An unintentional admission that Biden and his henchman aren’t trusted and have no moral authority. Woops.

It's bigger news that Biden has no clue where he is, what is going on, or what he is doing, unless he has a little cheat sheet to read it from.

But you Know nothings say this every day. Get back to me when you can prove it.

Just curious. What would constitute proof to you? The bank transfers, shell companies, emails, recorded conversations, Hunter associate's testimonies, whistleblowers, actions taken by Joe (firing Shokin specifically, China policy instances in general, records kept in a room the CCP had keys to, etc), the laptop data, censorship, Joe's constant and ever changing lies as uncovered facts come to light, anything at all?

I'm seriously curious if there is anything at all you would accept as proof positive. Given all of the above I'm confounded by how anyone could not at the very least suspect that the Joe Biden family is guilty of influence peddling at the very least, accepting bribes more likely, and imo selling out US interests for personal profit.

What would it take for you to consider any of the recent facts come to light as an indication that something is rotten in Denmark?
