Who needs the muzzle? Biden or the dog?

Too late! Bad owners make for dead dogs.

Glad to see this. Yes, the dog's behavior reflects badly on Biden. More importantly, though, Biden's employees, the Secret Service agents, are treated with no consideration. The little people who've pledged to take a bullet for him mean nothing.

Biden seems to be about as successful raising dogs as he is sons.

Keeping a shepherd as a house dog in what amounts to an office building is crazy.

Wrong breed.

Both.

I was bitten by a neighbor's black lab and boom, that thing was gone.

People are way too sentimental about dogs.

It's abusive to the people working in the White House and also abusive to the dog to keep him there. You have to have astoundingly bad judgment and very little empathy to keep the dog there. It's really incomprehensibly awful.

Do any genuine good things come out of the Biden White House?

Maybe the dog got his snout in one of the cocaine bags laying around the White House. Call him Cocaine Commander.

It's really cringe worthy how the Biden family treats the help. Total disregard for those around them, even the Secret Service.

Not Sure said...

Maybe it was wasn't such a good idea to reward the dogs with cocaine.

"What a joke"

Except Joe's not kidding. He likes his attack dogs nasty. Suits him fine.

"It's really incomprehensibly awful."

Awful, maybe. Why incomprehensible? Is there anything in Joe's past and character, anything in the morals of the Biden family, anything in what we know about how the administration runs, anything in the Dem treatment of their enemies that makes the cruelty "incomprehensible"?

Biotrekker said...

Dogs respond to their environment and the emotional state of the humans around them. I would guess that the White House is a very stressful place what with Biden's angry outbursts and the constant stress of hiding his worsening dementia from the world.

Keeping an agressive dog that bites toward the "Staff" is just standard procedure for Biden. He also yells and insults staff members, and contempously dismissed complaints from Female SS agents forced to see his "nude swim sessions".

Biden is also nasty and contempeous toward Political opponents. His POTUS and VP debates were notable for this behavior. And he either ignores tough questions from the press or turns hostile. WHen he was younger, he was accused of sexual harrassment (although not Ted Kennedy level).

Biden's gotten away with this behavior for one reason: THe leftwing MSM doesn't care. And neither do his Democrat voters. That's why all the endless MSM/Nevertumper chatter about Trump being a "Bully" or "Mean" is just bullshit. Biden's behavior doesn't bother them. Niether does Trump's. They just pretend with Trump.

rcocean said...

Maybe a pyschiatrist could tell you why a Powerful man, guarded by the secret service 24/7, would get an agressive dog that bites. He doesn't need it to guard him.

Perhaps Biden doesnt trust his own secret service. Or perhaps its some weird power-play.

Re: Jersey Fled:

Beau Biden seemed just fine by the standards of American princelings. I haven't heard of anything like Hunter's various scandals -- personal, ethical, or legal -- in connection with Beau. So I think this isn't fair.

Re: the dogs, though, I feel sorry for them. They're not being well cared for. Probably they're there as a kind of political prop, and aren't getting the attention/training they need to grow up properly socialised.

It was selfish and stupid for Biden to get another dog after he decided to run for president. It's even more selfish and stupid to keep one at the White House.

We already know he abuses dogs - his story for how he broke his foot was that he was running after Major to pull his tail.

Dogs need to feel secure as a part of a pack with his master as the leader. A dog that bites like this is not feeling secure. Smart dogs like GSDs need to have smart (non-abusive) owners. Major and Commander have been unfortunate in this.

"Yes, the dog's behavior reflects badly on Biden."

It's even worse than it might appear at first blush. It would reflect badly if Biden was spending time with the dog and personally involved with his training and there were still problems like this. The fact that the dog is being used as only a prop makes it even worse.

How big a piece of shit do you have to be to put a dog in a spot like this, just to polish your "regular guy" image for a lapdog media and the Democratic faithful, who will easily find a reason to excuse whatever abuse this poor dog has suffered?

Donald Trump was asked why he didn't have a dog and said (according to the WaPo, so it must be true, right?) "I wouldn’t mind having one, honestly, but I don’t have any time."

"Don't get a dog if you don't have time to spend with him"? Sounds like a humane and caring thing to do, not that FJB would ever understand the sentiment.

I agree, Ann. That dog wants to protect his people, but who are his people? Not an atmosphere for a happy dog with all the commotion and foot traffic in the WH. Did Biden think it would make him look more 'tough guy"? Of course, in his mind, he probably won at Westminster with the dog, and thinks he is rated top dog trainer in the U.S. Visions of grandeur in that sorry mess of a man.

Interested Bystander said...

That dog should have been put down after the 2nd incident. Then his own should have gotten the needle. Poor dog probably got weirded out by all the sniffing and groping. Ugh.

My in-laws had to put down a beloved Norwich after he attacked my sister in law’s face a second time. It was heartbreaking but you can’t have a vicious dog even a little one.

Interested Bystander said...

I hadn’t read to article before this one when I posted above. Two consecutive dogs turned vicious and attacked people? There’s something really wrong here. Either someone’s abusing them or they’re getting into some of Hunter’s happy powder.

Couldn't agree with our host more. Having a dog that is aggressive towards people in an environment where new people are constantly coming through is incredibly bad judgment. [But then what other kind of judgment does Joe have?]

My wife and I have owned a 30 pound rescue dog for a bit more than 6 years. She is incredibly friendly to people. But she pretty much hates anything on four legs--other dogs, cats, coyotes, deer on the hillside, ground squirrels etc. Despite spending a lot of time and money working wtih professional trainers, we've not been able to cure her reactive nature. So we never take her outside for a walk---it's just too difficult. OTOH we have a nice big fenced backyard, she can see the critters on the hillside and bark at them and run around if she chooses. We could not and would not keep her if we lived in an apartment building where she'd have to interact with other dogs on the street.

Team Biden has now struck out at least twice with dogs in the White House. Time to invoke the canine "three strikes law" and ban him from having any more dogs if he does this with a third German Shepherd.

I couldn’t understand why my sister’s dog would bite people, and draw blood.

Of course, people would complain, and the dog would be destroyed. The dead dog was replaced, and the same thing would happen.

It turns out my sister is profoundly schizophrenic, and she was projecting her symptoms onto the dog. The dog became vicious.

I wonder about the dynamic in the White House?

On April 12, 2021, the Bidens sent their former shelter dog, Major, back to Wilmington to live with friends and to get more training after a handful of biting incidents at the White House. Now Commander, the 22-month-old pure-bred Shepard who replaced First Dog Champ (who died in 2021), is biting instead of tail-wagging, so he is going now going to get more training to learn how to nip.

Nobody knows for sure since the "Hunter Biden is dumber than my dog" remark is sourced in a worthless FD-1023 that Comer and Grassley keep trying to use to get to the Bidens. But you already knew that, dincha?

Anyone consider that this poor dog may be trying to protect his elderly owner from he perceives as abuse? On the other hand, maybe the old doofus's apparent viciousness is being trained into the dog. Like the joke about Irish Alzheimer's, where you only remember the grudges, perhaps all civility has slipped away from Biden.
