"In rare move, Grassley releases unverified FBI source report alleging Biden involvement in bribe..."

ABC News reports.
Details of the unclassified document, known as an FD-1023, have emerged in recent months as Republicans search for any evidence that President Joe Biden engaged in the controversial overseas business dealings of his son Hunter Biden, which the president and his aides have repeatedly said he didn't do....
Democrats pounced on Grassley for publishing the FD-1023, accusing him of selectively highlighting uncorroborated information to hurt a political opponent....
The source says in the FD-1023 that in a meeting and in phone calls over the next year, [Burisma head Mykola] Zlochevsky claimed that he was "forced" to pay Joe and Hunter Biden $5 million each, apparently in exchange for firing a Ukrainian prosecutor named Viktor Shokin who was purportedly investigating Burisma at the time.
The assertion that the elder Biden, who was then vice president, acted to have [Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor] Shokin removed in an effort to protect Burisma has been undercut by widespread criticism of the former Ukrainian prosecutor by several high-profile international leaders. Securing Shokin's ouster was the U.S. State Department's official policy stance at the time....
The FBI has previously described FD-1023 forms this way: "They do not reflect the conclusions of investigators based on a fuller context or understanding. Recording this information does not validate it, establish its credibility, or weigh it against other information known or developed by the FBI in our investigations."

The NY Post has some quotes from the document, at "'My dog is smarter than Hunter’ — key quotes from secret FBI file":

“It costs 5 (million) to pay one Biden, and 5 (million) to another Biden” (quoting Zlochevsky)....

"Zlochevsky said he had a total of ‘17 recordings’ involving the Bidens; two of the recordings included Joe Biden, and the remaining 15 recordings only included Hunter Biden. [The informant] reiterated that, per Zlochevsky, these recordings evidence Zlochevsky was somehow coerced into paying the Bidens to ensure Ukraine Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin was fired."...
"Zlochevsky responded he did not send any funds directly to the ‘Big Guy’ (which [the informant] understood was a reference to Joe Biden). . . . Zlochevsky responded it would take them (investigators) 10 years to find the records (i.e. illicit payments to Joe Biden)."

You can read the whole document at "Biden investigation: Grassley releases FBI document accusing Joe and Hunter Biden of bribery scheme" (Washington Times).

ABC can say "Democrats pounced on Grassley for publishing the FD-1023, accusing him of selectively highlighting uncorroborated information to hurt a political opponent...." with a straight face after taking the fake Trump Russian Pee Dossier seriously?

Pot calls kettle black. News at 11:00.

If the report has not been verified yet, why not?

If the report has been verified, why characterize it like this?

If the report has been proven false, the Left would be telling us that.

How dare Congress released sensitive documents related to a presidential candidate! Why, that would be almost as bad as issuing a subpoena for tax records and then releasing them in order to get around privacy laws. Unimaginable!

Turns out the Bidens have the immunity from prosecution that Trump only thought he had.
“Unverified” Means I think that it’s true, but it’s not “true true”

Credit for "Democrats pounced".

Considering 3 years of Democrats selectively highlighting the uncorroborated Steele Dossier. Heck, Democrats and the DOJ are still selectively highlighting Jan. 6th video, and Georgia is considering indicting Trump on the uncorroborated stories of Cassidy Hutchinson. What, ABC News, is exactly rare here? Is it that a Republican would use common and routine Democrat tactics?

If only we could pair this with a recording of Joe Biden bragging about how he used foreign aid payments as leverage to get the Ukranian prosecutor fired...

Obviously, Burisma only paid Hunter Biden millions of dollars and not any loser sons/mistresses/dog walkers of any other world leaders.

Obviously.

Does this get the civility bullshit tag? But I have to admit, with their propaganda media, weaponized fbi, doj, irs, cia they are able to get this stuff out a lot quicker and without doing it in the light of day.

Then their media partners highlight it's veracity, not it's lack of veracity.

Trump was impeached for asking about Biden family corruption in Ukraine.

The Joe Biden bribe allegations need a special counsel, now

Dear corrupt left, go F yourselves said...

Everyone knows a coke head son of the Vice President has all sorts of authority to shake down governments and businesses in corrupt nations like China and Ukraine. Hunter even admitted he has not experience - other than his desperation for easy money and drugs... and sex.

17 million. And Biden laughable claims he knew nothing. He is clean y'all.

The reason Wikileaks Assange won't ever be pardoned is because he exposed Hillary, Podesta and the entire Democrat machine for what it is. Ridiculous in our "Modern Age of Reason and Law".

And if the Democrat machine is so obviously evil, OF COURSE the entire administrative state post Obama hisses and kicks at any effort to reveal the Truth. Sadly, China & our globalized communications corporations are on that side also.

Our "American Civilization" has come to a miserable end.

You know which team ABC is batting for. Parts of the 1023 are already confirmed by other evidence from the Biden's. Compare ad contrast to ABC's coverage of the Steele files

It is truly amazing how quickly Trump's call to Zelenskyyy was "verified" and litigated and whipped into an impeachment frenzy just for asking if Ukraine had any investigative knowledge of the Burisma corruption probe. Yet this interview directly with FBI agents has not been "verified" after all this time. And their bullshit reaction about sources and methods is destroyed by the report itself which shows they were redacting things like Hunter is so stupid, my dog is smarter and the briber's disgust at dealing with the lowdown dirty Big Guy.

Read it for yourself people. Enjoy the police state that this DOJ and FBI have become. Join Murkowski and Pelosi and Jaypal in the uniparty effort to bring fascism to every part of our country. That is so much more preferable to Orange Mean Tweets Guy.

At least it's the Democrats 'pouncing' this time. ABC reports that Republicans are searching for "any evidence that President Joe Biden engaged in the controversial overseas business dealings of his son". I less partisan and more honest report would say they were looking for "more evidence" as there is plenty of evidence out there already.

OK, suppose the unverified info is false. But Burisma did pay Hunter big bucks. Hey, Dems: for what?

Joe Biden verified it when he bragged about getting the prosecutor fired.

I guess we aren't going to see the phrase "credibly accused" in the NYT and WaPo articles regarding the Biden bribery allegations. That phrase was all used up in their articles over the past few years regarding Trump.

The WSJ front page writers have also decided to ignore the story as they continue to place any article regarding Trump on the front page (above the fold). It makes one wonder how much money they get from "the Big Guy" to continue to cover for the Biden family.

And the Fake News remains silent.

We are fucked as a country.

What I want to know is how much more money - in crypto and diamonds - have Joe and Hunter collected from Ukraine since the war started. If Hunter hasn't collected at least $100m, then he really is dumber than a dog. Lamar Jackson, of the Ravens, is paid $52m per year on a $260m contract. All he does is play football. Joe is defending our democracy.

We all know this is true. And we all know it's part of the reason we are supporting a war in Ukraine. I'm sure the money laundering and bribery goes much further than just the Bidens. Obviously Obama was aware of what his VP was doing. Obama was aware of Clinton Foundation Corruption.

The first Trump impeachment was an attempt to cover all this up. How dare Trump ask about high ranking US officials accepting bribes and running a shakedown operation.

But...college educated white women are more concerned with abortion, pushing transgenderism on children...and other bullshit. They don't care about the Biden corruption. Watch clips from The View. There are millions of Ana Navarros out there. They live next door to you. They teach in your local public schools.

With all the obvious corruption... do you really believe these assholes wouldn't fix elections? We're really kind of fucked.

Repeating my comment from the Susan Glover post:

In July of 2019 Donald Trump asked Ukrainian President Zelenskyy about Joe Biden’s interference in Ukrainian internal affairs during a telephone call. Four years later we know beyond any reasonable doubt that not only did Biden do so, but he accepted a bribe, laundered through his son Hunter, to do so.

Only took four years, high inflation, a war in Ukraine, and American citizens left behind in Afghanistan to get to the truth.

Well, then. I'm convinced. Just as I'm convinced that everything RFK Jr. has said about the CDC, the NIH, the mRNA "vaccines," bioweapons, &c., is wrong because his relatives "strongly condemn" what he has said. Strongly condemn his statements, with one voice.

Jonathan Turley: “The FBI has a source saying that Biden is accepting millions of dollars, and that we now know that this source reportedly said that this was money to be paid to Hunter for the protection from his dad,” Turley continued. “I mean, you can’t get more serious than that, and, yet, when Barr sent it to the U.S. attorney’s office, which is not there to investigate crimes, he said they found additional material that the FBI overlooked. It was then sent to Delaware and there it appears to have died.” (emphasis added)

No one should have been surprised. It would have been the FBI’s Counterintelligence Division (where Strzok, Clinesmith, Priestap, etc worked) that would have been tasked to investigate, but didn’t investigate Crooked Hillary’s illegal email server, but did catch Flynn, etc in a bogus perjury trap, initiate Crossfire Hurricane based on information they knew was fabricated, etc. and no doubt with consultation with Deputy Special Prodecutor Jay Bratt’s Counterintelligence and Export Branch at the DOJ.

Roll the tape on Whoopi Goldberg, "Well it was not really a rapey rape".

So this story of $5 million for Hunter and a second $5 million for the "Big Guy" was not really a bribey bribe,

So how rare is that move compared to , let's say, 50 former (demoncRAT) intelligence officials signing their names to a lie that the laptop belonging to Hunter Biden that they knew belonged to Hunter Biden was instead Russian disinformation?

Or FBI agents submitting false documents to a FISA court to issue warrants against people they want to spy on who just coincidentally work for Trump?

Or, let's say, how rare is compared to passing around completely unverified BS information about Trump being a Russian agent who peed on a hotel bed full of prostitutes?

Oh, wait, I see the rarity. It's unverified probably truthful information about a demoncRAT instead of unverified knowingly false information about Trump. Totally different. passing around the latter is an accepted and approved practice.

We've got "top" Republican frontrunners making their primary battle a culture war issue...

While the U.S. President has:

- IRS whistleblowers claiming the President's DOJ impaired an investigation in the President's family corruption
- Facilitated impeachment of his predecessor for exploring corruption of the current President's family from another country's leader
- Repeatedly, publicly lied about knowledge of and discussions with his son and family members business involvement with foreign government and foreign-government associated entities from particularly concerning countries including Ukraine, Russia, China, and more

You'd think this would be more of a front and center issue?

Yes, there is a culture war issue with people pushing educational materials that are sexual or even pornographic in nature into school libraries and curricula. But hey, there's also some really nasty Presidential corruption on display.

I don't remember such qualifications during the breathless media reporting of SHOCKING INTELLIGENCE ON TRUMP-RUSSIA CONNECTIONS ARE THE WALLS CLOSING IN? we were put through for half a decade. Now it's very important that we know the allegations of a trusted FBI informant who was paid six figures by the FBI for providing valid intelligence to the Bureau for years are "unsubstantiated."

Original Mike said...

House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer said: “At our hearing with IRS whistleblowers, they testified that they had never seen or heard of this record during the Biden criminal investigation, despite having potentially corroborating evidence."

So once again Althouse gets close to taking the red pill and realizing just how corrupt the Bidens and democrats are but at the last second the FBI comes in with some flimsy justification for why this is not a real problem. Next the NYT will have an article on how this was State Department policy to interfere in foreign corruption investigations and how careful the FBI is with uncollaborated documents that don't come from Hillary Clinton's Campaign.

I used to follow Althouse daily looking for a rational liberal who would realize just how bad the Democratic party has gotten. I was looking for another Neo-Neo Con to restore my faith in the classical liberal. Too many times I've seen Althouse step up to the bar and put down the red pill and her glass of water when the NYT, WP, or DNC says it ain't really that way. I'm left with Johnathan Turley, who can still see through the smoke.

Just once I'd like to see Althouse admit:

That her dislike of Trump's style blinded her to what Biden was

That the info she is getting from the NYT, WP, DOJ, FBI, CDC, etc is based on protecting the themselves and the Democratic party and are not on putting out the truth

That men transitioning to women have a natural strength advantage over women in sports and your feelings or the drugs they take don't change that

That there are many real reasons why "global warming" is not settled science but is almost a mass delusion. (She should read the Manhattan Contrarian some time)
