This weekend, it's from Trump Television Mouthpiece "RSBN." This will be a post in two parts.

PART ONE
The great Ron Filipkowski -- Florida attorney, former prosecutor, Marine, media monitor of TrumpWorld and podcaster -- was monitoring the RSBN coverage of the Trump rally in Erie PA. A host working for RSBN named Matthew Alvarez was doing sidewalk interviews outside the rally. Filipkowski captured the following exchange from the live feed. First, a transcript, and then a link to the Ron Filipkowski Tweet that started it all.

The DoJ letter regarding Devon Archer, issued Saturday, was timed just days following Archer's failed appeal of his 2019 conviction (a fraud crime unrelated to Hunter Biden). He was sentenced in 2022. And what the DoJ did on Saturday was to write to the trial judge (US District Court Judge Ronnie Abrams) and asked her to schedule a date for Archer to report to prison, after the Second Circuit Court of Appeals finalized an order days earlier upholding his one-year sentence.

It is not "an arrest and jail order." It is not intended to, nor will it, interfere with the scheduled appearance by Archer for whatever sort of goat-rodeo that the House Republicans have in mind on Monday.

Now, who agrees with me as to the foregoing? That this is a giant non-story?

The DoJ for one.

Archer's own lawyers for another.

And even Fox News lifer Brit Hume says so.

On a separate note, Bill Barr did not say he would jump off a bridge if Trump is the nominee. When asked what he would do, he said "I'll jump off that bridge when I come to it." Back when Archer was in good standing with the DoJ, his conviction was overturned on the grounds that he had no intention to defraud those people. But it seems like once he turned on his business partner, the full weight of the law has come back down on his head.

I've quoted the only truthful part of Chuck's other lying rant. There is no reason for this letter other than to mintimidate the witness, even if it was misunderstood by some as a "report on Monday" missive, Chuckie can never explain WHY they took the extraordinary step of issuing such a thing on a Saturday, not a day the DOJ usually works. In fact Chuckie cannot find one other letter issued on a weekend like this, especially not to a witness before Congress.
