The article is quick to lay blame on climate change, but the statistics don't necessarily support that claim; as planetgeo points out, it could be a feedback loop where forest fire CO2 pumps into the atmosphere. There are other factors besides atmospheric CO2 that can affect fire frequency and severity, like forest management, weather phenomena like El Niño and Pineapple Express, etc.; 5/24/23, 8:19 AM

The earliest any Ukrainian would be ready to fly in combat at a novice level is several years.

Prior to that point, and for long after, any F-16 combat missions flown in Ukraine will be flown by US and NATO pilots.

Yes, with all the real world implications and escalatory risks inherent in such an insane policy.
