I don't want to hear one more word about the White Patriarchy. If such a thing existed, President trump is exactly who it would benefit. Instead he gets persecuted by unreported, unsubstantiated and unconfirmed allegations of rape.

Was his lawyers prevented from bringing this evidence? Is that why they didn't mount a defense, because they couldn't? Otherwise, why did his lawyers not bring witnesses to all to this?

I'm so thankful daily that I'm not a teenaged boy in this country. Everywhere you look is evidence of how little you're valued by the feminine primacy. Everyday you're confronted by more scenarios of how women can commit all of the deadly sins and receive not only no penalty, but get rewarded. Sloth, envy, wrath, lust, bearing false witness, arkancide, you name it and it's praised as virtue at best and at worst receives a slap on the wrist. Never ever let anyone tell you women are oppressed in this country. They do in fact run this country culturally, and this is the result.

Evidently, the judge ruled that the insanity of the plaintiff is not a defense.

Biden's hidin' even though the press wants him to win and the legal system from top to bottom will cover for him and protect him.
Trump is out there, fearless, undaunted, standing alone. Love him or hate him, you have to respect that.

Mark. you voted for Biden. You've cost this country so much more.

Still not taking this seriously.

Don't anybody complain that Trump is treated unfairly.

He invited this verdict. He practically begged the jury to find against him.

The whole thing was bullshit. I'm not complaining, just stating a fact.

Keep telling yourself that "counselor".

Next up for VA Lawyer Mark: Why Trump deserved the hoax dossier treatment. Why, he was practically begging for it!!

Give the girl some credit. She may be a lying piece of shit, but she saw a way to get famous and make some money by playing to the Trump hate.

Trump stopped short on his tweet. Republicans/Conservatives need to face reality. They cannot get a fair trial in DC or NYC or any other deep blue city with Leftwing judges and prosecutors.

Something must be done. Congress must act.

Sigh....... nothing Trump could have done would have changed the verdict. The only advice you offered that might changed the outcome was to not say anything at all about Carroll claims of rape- let them go completely unchallenged. If he had so much as offered up a "No" to a reporter's question about whether or not the claims were true, he was going to be sued for defamation- that was the plan all along. No jury in NYC was ever going to find for Trump no matter what evidence or testimony he offered up at trial- getting a fair trial for Trump in that jurisdiction was simply an impossible task. Trump is correct to treat it as a joke, and he was very smart to not testify on the stand, either, as that was another trap that was being laid by his persecutors in New York state. In any case, it probably won't matter- he will be charged with perjury anyway as they will use the deposition as the fall back plan.

Mark, you don't give enough credit to the Left for their corrupt use of the court system- is it because you are lawyer?

The Bidens set up Rosemont Seneca. The Trumps set up "legal defense funds." Grifters gonna grift.

The worst thing about partisanship is that it causes otherwise intelligent people to bury their head and ignore 50% of the corruption in America.

First things first! The evidence looked strong, but the jury had to be unanimous. It took them just three hours—that’s record time for a jury that had to not only decide whether Donald Trump sexually assaulted and defamed E. Jean Carroll but also had to agree on the amount of damages she was due as a result of his actions.

Trump and his lawyer need to call the lawsuit exactly what it was under New York law, a civil battery and defamation trial. The statute of limitations was recently extended to 20 years for second-degree rape but the Trump - Carroll incident occurred in the mid-'90s.

Yes, he lived in New York City for years. Anybody who does that deserves what he gets.

Is that what you meant lefty Mark? Idiot.

The problem some people might have is that so many previous assertions against Trump have turned out to be completely fabricated partisan lies (looking your direction, Hillary!). Leftist shepherd boys can continue crying, "WOLF!" to agitate the throngs of anti-Trumpers, but the Left's agitation does not inspire confidence in anyone about the presence of toothsome sheep-eating canids.

Michael K once again doesn’t know how to check to see which Mark he is insulting. He seems to be getting more confused/senile by the day. That’s righty Mark.

It did, and does, and Trump has benefited by it...(and moreso by being born to a wealthy builder who bankrolled Donald when he started out and bailed him out when he faced ruin). That doesn't mean that a foolish and intemperate fool like Trump can't eventually fuck up too many times or in such egregious manner that his deeds won't bite him in his fat ass.

"The worst thing about partisanship is that it causes otherwise intelligent people to bury their head and ignore 50% of the corruption in America."

Very true, (and stupid people, too.) Most members of both parties are reflexively partisan--something inculcated in us, as per Noam Chomsky's reminiscence that he realized when young and attending a school sporting event that we have no reason to support one team over another without our being taught to root for one side and boo the other side.

This partisanship negates our ability to see the failings in our own systems or behaviors, as per US citizens who childishly assert "THE USA IS THE GREATEST COUNTRY!" and react with violent emotions, rebuttals, and insulting rhetoric when some suggest that we may not be. Such certainty preempts the capacity to see and repair problems. It is always counterproductive to focus on what our "team" may be doing right, at least, it is so if we ignore (or reject) signs that there is much still wrong with our team. (And are those things we're doing "right" benefiting everyone, or only a select or privileged few?) Even if the USA were the "greatest" nation--(how is that quantified?)--we should always look at the problems we still face, the things we are failing in, or are not succeeding well or widely enough, and focus on how to remediate those faults to minimize them even more, or to eventually eradicate them. (We must remember that all is in flux and there is never a point where all is well. We must always be our own harshest critics.)

Partisanship will be the death of us.

One would assume a doctor would be capable of (and inclined to offer) cogent and pertinent commentary, rather than illogical 6th grade non-sequitur insults. One, in this instance--and others--would assume incorrectly.

Bullshit. Tribalism and otherizing or their cognates are natural, and as far as I know, universal natural animal behavior. Protect the future of your genes and the genes of those closely related to you. Cite a social animal that does not exhibit these behaviors.
