"Billionaire Bill Gates dismissed the possibility of people making significant changes to their lifestyle, like giving up meat and becoming vegetarians for the sake of countering the alleged effects of climate change.

“I don’t think we can count on people living a impoverished lifestyle as a solution to climate change,” Gates said at an event in India on March 1. “You know, meat consumption in India will be less … That’s wonderful. Will all Indians become vegetarians? Will all Americans become vegetarians? I wouldn’t want to count on it. Anybody who wants to evangelize that, they’re welcome to. I won’t resist in any way.”

Gates had earlier pushed for rich nations to adopt 100 percent synthetic beef that is made from plant proteins like beans or peas, carbs like potato starch, fats like canola or coconut oil, minerals, and flavorings.

In an online interaction on Reddit in January, Gates pushed for the widespread adoption of plant-based meat products.

“For people who want to go Vegan that is great but I don’t think most people will do that. There are companies making ‘beef’ in new ways and people working to still use cows but reduce the methane emissions,” he wrote.

Gates’ push to move away from meat consumption and adopt plant-based alternatives comes as he is busy buying up farmland in America.

According to a July 2022 letter sent by Rep. Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.) seeking Gates’ testimony regarding his farm purchases, the Microsoft founder is the “largest private farmland owner” in the United States, owning more than 270,000 acres of farmland in 19 states.

Energy Consumption
At the India event, Gates also talked about energy consumption. He pointed out that if governments are willing to implement tough laws, air conditioning can simply be banned, which would be “good for the climate.” However, he admitted that this would not happen as a warmer climate will keep raising the demand for cooling."

I get the Wisconsin seeds for Wisconsin concept (or Minnesota seeds for Wisconsin if we're going to be exact - but it's all one zone - sort of - just over the river at Winona - but enough.) Now I have plenty of SUNNY space to plant them so they get full sun. Tomatoes are hit or miss in Pugetopulis. We need a warm summer for the tomatoes to ripen.

I plan on sowing bulbs this fall. Our old house had a 7x20-ft planter of bulbs (hyacinths, tulips and dafodils) that kept coming back every spring. I need to figure where the new bulb patch will be, probably along the fence near the road. Full sun and well drained soil.; 3/10/23, 9:42 PM

I believed a farrago of lies. And, as a result of these lies, and my credulity — and the credulity of people similarly situated to me - many conservatives’ reputations are being tarnished, on false bases.

The proximate cause of this letter of apology is the airing, two nights ago, of excepts from tens of thousands of hours of security camera footage from the United States Capitol taken on Jan 6, 2021. David Grening reported in Daily Racing Form that General Banker will aim to the Grade 2 Wood Memorial on April 8 at Aqueduct. After watch FORTE and the impressive win in Grade 2 race I see him as a derby favorite (of which I usually bet against, but this one looks powerful) My friends uncle Jimmy(Ferraro) trains General Banker who is going in a grade 2 but I don't see much chance for the horse to reach 40 points to get in.(24 now) The sire not noted for stamina or long races and the General though paying his way in the barn as a New York Bred almost 500K believe way outclassed. Next race in April will tell the story. Confidence Game also ran big and looks strong and may have a price. Wife and I flying to Jersey to stay at BORGATA for 3 nights and play some 1 armed Bandits compliments of Borgata Sun Country airlines and MGM.We are thinking maybe heading to Aqueduct after that to play some ponies and see some people. Anyone who understands Milton Freeman could have forecast high inflation as the result of rapid money growth. I said so in one of the posts on Ann's blog at that time. The exact size may not have been known, but high inflation would occur.
