Finally, the first major step in taking the twitter source code to open source with all the advantages that built firefox.

Readering, Dumb Lefty Mark and LLR-democratical & Violent Homosexual Rape Fantasist Chuck hardest hit.

"Twitter will open source all code used to recommend tweets on March 31st.

Our “algorithm” is overly complex & not fully understood internally. People will discover many silly things , but we’ll patch issues as soon as they’re found!

We’re developing a simplified approach to serve more compelling tweets, but it’s still a work in progress. That’ll also be open source.

Providing code transparency will be incredibly embarrassing at first, but it should lead to rapid improvement in recommendation quality. Most importantly, we hope to earn your trust."--Elon Musk

Are there any pre-indictment parties this weekend?

I'm making my Presumption of Innocence 7-layer dip and pairing it with a Trump Winery 2017 Sparkling Blanc de Blancs Brut. A little overpriced at around $30.

Supposedly, Trump to be indicted, arrested, and fingerprinted next week. Expected GOP responses:

1) Hey, it doesn't affect me. Who cares?
2) Hey, its just Trump. They'll never do it to a REAL Republican. Like DeSantis
3) Well, that's what happens when you give them Ammo.
4) As Moderate Republican, I'm in favor of just sending trump to Jail for 1/2 the days the DA wants.
5) Whats so bad about losing? As long as we keep our Captial gains cuts.
6) I got my guns and a cabin in the woods. I'll do OK.

LOL.

RIP, Jim Gordon. Such talent and such a horrible life. What he did was heinous, but undiagnosed schizophrenia can lead to unspeakable acts.

The guy was so talented, to hear the professionals tell it and his presence on so many recordings of the best of American music is a testament.

But he was totally off his cracker and the drugs he was taking were adding fuel to the fire.

Years later, the drummer wound up killing his mother. Only afterwards was he diagnosed with acute schizophrenia. “When he was arrested, he said that he had also planned to kill his ex-wife but he was too tired from killing his mother,” [Rita] Coolidge recalls with a dark laugh. “He wouldn’t have been done killing. I think if he were out now, he still wouldn’t be done.”

Coolidge knew first hand how off he was, after he beat the Hell out of her.

Thought I would share something from Rod Dreher's substack. Our host recently posted content from Vanity Fair about how he left The American Conservative after his sole financial benefactor withdrew funding after some edgy bizarro posts. That arrangement struck me as odd too. Now he and this fellow, Howard Ahmanson Jr., say it's baloney. Among other things Dreher posted this note from him (published with permission):

In the first place, I have not been for many years “the sole benefactor” of Rod’s salary at TAC. My granting entity Fieldstead & Company has indeed reduced its current grant to The American Ideas Institute (TAII), the 501c3 organization that publishes TAC, but that is primarily because my wife’s and my move to Texas, along with our businesses and family office, has proved to be very expensive. Fieldstead’s grant to TAII had to be reduced for that reason, along with a reduction in the amount of current donations to a number of other traditional grant recipients. When I advised TAC that Fieldstead’s grant would be reduced, I made it clear that TAC was free to use any portion of the reduced Fieldstead grant to support Rod’s work. It is my understanding that the executive staff of TAC concluded that Rod’s blog should be discontinued due to TAC’s own reduced funding.

Who knows, thought it was interesting.

Oh boy.

Now you've done it. You mentioned Rod Dreher in a thread where LLR-democratical Chuck is posting.

Very triggering.

I feel sorry for what might be happening to the lad that might be "visiting" Chuck right now.

Although Stanford Law School failed to teach its students any First Amendment law, the Free Beacon is giving them free lessons. Sweet!

Drago -- You Trump humpers need to remember that Donald Trump is 100% in favor of gay marriage, and he even recently hosted a party at his Florida resort with hundreds of homosexuals celebrating gay marriage. He is 100% on board with Pete Buttplug.

They're not trying hard enough. Surely they cook up some complaint that the ICC will indict Trump for so he and Putin can stand in the dock together...

SO sad. So SAD. A friend and bandmate of my son killed himself. I wish that this wasn’t the first time my son’s had to deal with this sort of death, or any sort of death. Not the case, though. Wishin’ ain’t gettin’. Particularly hard-hitting, though I ought to be used to it. I feel devastated. And I am so worried about my son and and his friends.

I don’t typically do full-on vulnerable. Sharing things from a feelings standpoint I don’t, typically (to repeat).

But, at this time, in this time, THIS TiME, I am feeling so sad, bereft, and worried that I do want to reach out for help. Anyone here?

Regards,

Lori

Just seeing this now (as I moderate comments after waking up)...

I'm sorry to hear about your son's friend and about your despair... and that it didn't go through automatically.

I'm not able to let comments go through automatically anymore. There are too many awful people, and I need this defense, but I'm sad to see that it prevented you from getting through when you wanted people to talk to.

It's a terrible thing when a young person chooses death, terrible for the one who dies and terrible for everyone left behind.

PSU is a double-edged sword for me. I enjoy following their football and wrestling* programs, but I despise their wokeness. Glad to see they will be forced to make major budget cuts. Makes me smile. The entire PA state university system, the highest priced in the US, is under severe financial pressure because .... wait for it .... lack of students.

* PSU is leading going into the wrestling finals this weekend.

It’s disgusting how often and easily left-wing activists fall back on retrograde hate. Homophobia, misogyny, and here that children are not people in their own right, they are the property of their parents and it’s ok to make them suffer for their parent’s sins.

The Code of Hammurabi: if he killed a “free-born” pregnant woman, his own daughter would be killed as retribution.

That’s today’s leftist—not a whit of moral development in thousands of years.

LOL

Yes. Everyone knows Trump's position on gay marriage and has since 2015.

So tell us Mr 20+ year Legal Beagle, why do you believe there is some equivalence to acceptance of gay marriage and violent homosexual rape fantasies?

Oh, that's right. You were desperate to jump in and no other "hook" presented itself so you took a flier with that.

I must say, that performance is not up to snuff for a self-appointed blog monitor like yourself. You'll need to up your game Counselor.

Rcommal- I’m just seeing your comment and want to extend condolences. Suicide has hit close to our family too- my son-in-law’s brother, age 21, during the pandemic. So unbelievably sad, and the wounds take a long time to heal. Wish I had some words of wisdom but try not to despair and just try to be there for your son while he and his friends process their grief and the very unfair feelings of guilt that they’ll experience.
