It was so good to see the sun today. I’m tired of our Midwest weather trying to imitate the Pacific Northwest.

Stopping by Woods on an Early Afternoon

I would urge anybody who is trans to try their hand at stand-up comedy.

Or just in your own life, try to make people laugh.

Try to see the humor in your own life.

Most humor is born out of pain. Black comics, Jewish comics. Jeff Foxworthy became a minor celebrity with "you might be a redneck."

If you can't find the humor in your situation, that's bad for your own mental health. Can you make people laugh? Can you laugh at yourself?

I sincerely believe that gender dysphoria is a thing. It's obviously a thing! But for the vast majority of people, it's a mental illness, not a flaw in your body parts.

If you want to convince me I'm wrong, one way to do that is by being funny. Humor is a powerful tool in the arts. Somebody, maybe the Greeks, used to divide all of the world into drama or comedy. (And somebody once said that drama is for feelers and comedy is for thinkers).

If you abandon comedy and you insist that the entire comic world shut up, you are in the wrong. Sorry, but you are.

Everybody's life has tragedy in it. Tragedy is always sad. But a lot of this drama is also manufactured (I suspect) by adolescent girls who want to be the center of attention.

Laughter doesn't drive anybody to suicide. Mental illness does. If your situation feels more and more desperate, it's not the fault of the comics that you feel that way.

I read the post and watched the SNL/Sam Smith vid. Couldn't face 100+ comments so I came up here.

That was dreadful. So dreadful that the presence of La Stone couldn't redeem it.

I've been studying the Beatles.

As a 12 year kid, I didn't like most of George Harrison's stuff.

Now, I'm reviewing, and learning Beatles songs, and he wasn't as prolific as John, and Paul, but what he wrote really stands out in the Beatles catalog.

Dr Campbell's befuddlement continues; how the same grim excess deaths from multiple reputable sources, in most of the developed world is not being reported. Nothing to see here.

Were it any other cause, we would have a serious crisis, the Dr says.

What kind of conspiracy would it take to accomplish this kind of silence? (I say IF because it's easier to believe the deaths are phantom)

And if the suppression is real, doesn't the "Biden win" look like boy scout's play in comparison?

Woke up to a snow day here in northern AZ. My son's high school called to cancel at 5:30am. Of course, we had already had breakfast. Unusual.

So, Volume = Olympic swimming pools, Height = Statues of Liberty, Length = Football fields. What the hell is weight measured in (and don't give me tons fer Christ sake). Grand pianos? That sucks. What is the standard? I don't think there is one.

Pronouns are a way to isolation from one another. If I can't talk to you, as I would other people, I'm just not going to. Eventually, you are not talking to anybody becase there's also an evolving plethora of speech codes you have to navigate. There goes the first amendment. Without the first the second is meaningless.

So, now we have a senior Asian male shooting up a mushroom farm in Half Moon Bay, CA, and killing 7.

This follows Brandon Tsay protecting his family's dance hall from a 72 year old Chinese shooter in Monterey Park, CA. The 72 year old had already shot up another dance hall killing 10.

What have they put in the water???

After reading this, how can anyone seriously consider a concept of "slavery reparations" at this point in American history ?

My first tiktok link, ever. From Instapundit. A cogent realiation that- you can't make everyone happy. And for us red blooded American males, the tik-tokker (is that what they're referred to as?) is cute.

Found some interesting info today. My grandmother wasn't orphaned at age 8 when her mother and father died. Her father lived until age 72, but apparently abandoned his living children with their older cousin, where I found them on the 1900 census a long time ago, I has assumed he also fied- I had records for her mother's death, and his name was all too common in Boston. But someone posted on Findagrave a cemetery record that he bought the cemetery plot in 1887 when the first of the children died, and was himself buried there in 1945... My grandmother had 7 siblingss I can verify, 5 who I can verify died between 1 day and less then 2 years old. Her one year younger sister at 5 years old shows up in the 1900 census in Boston- and that's the last record I can find on her. Living with that older cousin. She mentioned her brother Lawrence from time to time, but the only record of him is his birth. My grandmother and her older cousin's daughter, making her her 1st 1X removed cousin, married two brothers, so they were also sister's-in-law. My grandmother lived to age 80.

And on another note, I suspect that since people my age or so (67) are the most vaccinated, 95+% according to USA stats, that soon my wife and I won't be able to find anyone out age around. Looks more and more like the worst case scenario is coming to pass for the vaccine that isn't. And yet, today, I saw that our government is now recommending yearly covid bossters...

But Walter Chesnut holds out some hope. He recommends, or at least notes, that Bromelain and NAC appear to destroy the spike protein, the apparent cause of most covid problems. The thing that the vaccines that aren't force your body to make and poison you with.
https://wmcresearch.substack.com/p/friday-hope-bromelain-nac-and-spike
So I'm already taking daily bromelain. I was for a long while taking NAC, for muscles (it's good for them), but it's really nasty and foul tasting stuff, even in capsule form. Really, really nasty and foul tasting. I have a bottle and a half left. I guess I'm going to have to start taking it daily again, and grimacing as I swallow. I take most supplements in capsule form. One company on Amazon does NAC in caplet form... I'll have to order a bottle to see if they're less nasty...

For all those folks out there that got stomped by monstrous December natural gas bills, your utility is out to get even higher rates by selling renewable natural gas. No, it's not green-colored gas, it's biogas sourced from landfills and animal waste tanks. But first, government cash will go from Biden's environmental budget to rent seekers, who then capture the stinky stuff, extract all methane and dump the gaseous alcohol back into pipelines, causing what was once cheap fuel from fracking (before wells were shut down) to highest-ever heating bills.

A far cheaper source of methane would involve pinching off gas escaping from fracked wells that are being flared instead of being captured and used as is.

I’m in total agreement w/Inga on this one. It may not be very cold, but I’d take 20below and sunnyblue skies over the grey, damp &depressing weather we’ve been having all Winter.

Pavlak,

Thank you for your criticism. I appreciate it.

I don't mean to be horrible.

Sometimes I think we can divide the world into "brutal truth" and "sweet lies."

I am by nature more likely to fall into the first camp. But in my personal life and my relationships, I try to find the "sweet truth" and avoid saying anything brutal, or dishonest.

On the internet, it's easier to be brutally honest.

I wouldn't say what I said in a face-to-face conversation. I would be nicer and more polite. (And maybe avoid the conversation altogether).

I would just warn you, and liberals in general, about the danger of "sweet lies," and how that can be a dangerous path.

God bless you, and your loved ones.

I would suggest (tentatively) there is a bias in American culture towards the new. And a lack of respect for those old ways and old traditions.

So let me also suggest (not so tentatively) that this urge in the young to experiment with drugs and change your sexuality is a fad.

There are too many young people wanting to try it.

Our fucking culture loves drugs and loves the "miracle" of drugs.

I take a drug and I feel different!

I take a drug and my brain is free!

I take a drug and my sexuality is different!

I'm sorry if I hurt feelings, or if I'm too brutal in my speech.

I've spent 20 years of my life yelling at doctors, and lawyers, and the elites in our society, about how they are stabbing and poisoning unwanted children.

I know the Hippocratic Oath is old. But there's also a lot of wisdom in that Oath. And you modern day fuckers who ignore that wisdom, while you Dr. Frankenstein your way through life -- and seriously harm young boys and girls -- well, it's not the kids who make me mad.
