One of the interesting offshoots of the Biden sponsored/ encouraged/ enabled invasion from the southern border are the problems it creates around the US. Lib Mayor Eric Adams is the latest to see the light. Well some light.

Now we have the slaughter of a family of six (6) in central California who, according to the local sheriff, were Mexican Cartel members. Or they could have been dreamers.

Ron Jeremy has been found mentally incompetent.

Mr. Jeremy gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "fucking crazy".

Eggs expensive here in Ca. Bought a dozen, got home, found one cracked, put it in a baggie and returned it.

Store manager insinuated that it was intact when it left the store.

Like when Bork became Borked?

To Biden a candidate could mean your own party dredges up something that scuttles a candidacy. Sidelining the presumptive candidate on the other side is just a bonus.

Rumor has it Ron Jeremy was the inspiration for the Boston Commons memorial.

That's not true btw.

The skyrocketing price of eggs got Musk thinking he could use them for rocket fuel. Word came back from the bean counters saying ordinary rocket fuel is now cheaper than eggs.

I was happy to find eggs when I went shopping today. It's a staple of our low-carb diet. Shelves were about half full. I don't even know the price; purposefully avoided seeing it. And forget about buying pasteurized eggs. Haven't been able to find those in months.

Heck of a job, Joey…

from the WSJ..
what’s very hard to understand is how a man is not even aware that classified government documents are improperly stored in his office, his home and even his garage, but is simultaneously so careful in managing his affairs that he sends attorneys to move his things out of a private office he rarely used.

why DID he send his lawyers to move his stuff? How SOON was the FBI raid scheduled?

plus there was these quotes from Biden; about if people knew he was stealing classified docs:
People know I take classified documents, classified information.. seriously, my word as a Biden!

and, my favorite! about WHERE the docs in his office were..
They found some documents in a box, in a locked cabinet, at least a closet.

There you have it! They were in a box.. Or, maybe a locked cabinet.. AT LEAST in a closet!
They WEREN'T just sitting in a pile, next to a used car (those were OTHER classified doc)

ChatGPT today:

Write a blog post in the style of Ann Althouse critical of Barack Obama's choice of shorts.

It's not often that I find myself writing about a politician's fashion choices, but recent photos of former President Barack Obama wearing shorts during a vacation have caught my attention.

Now, I know that some may argue that this is a trivial issue and that we should focus on more important matters, but I believe that the way a leader presents themselves to the public is an important aspect of their leadership.

When I look at the photos of Obama in shorts, I can't help but feel that his choice of attire is unbecoming of a former President. Shorts, by their very nature, are casual and informal. They are not something that one would expect to see a President wearing, especially not in public.

Furthermore, Obama's shorts appear to be ill-fitting and saggy, giving the impression of a lack of attention to detail and grooming. A leader should always strive to present themselves in the best possible light, and this includes their appearance.

I understand that Obama is on vacation and should be able to relax and enjoy himself, but as a former President, he is still a public figure and his actions and choices are still subject to scrutiny. I believe that he should have shown more consideration for the image he presents to the public, and chosen attire that is more appropriate for a former President.

In conclusion, while I understand that the choice of shorts may seem like a minor issue, I believe that it is important for leaders to present themselves in a manner that is befitting of their position. As a former President, Barack Obama should have shown more consideration for the image he presents to the public and chosen attire that is more appropriate for a former President.

Back when eggs were cheaper, during the summer, I bought several dozen, beat the eggs and froze them in individual silicone cupcake molds. One egg per each silicone mold. Eggs can be frozen this way and used for omelettes, scrambled eggs or in baking. Freeze the molds, when frozen pop them out of the mold and put in then ziplock bags in the freezer. Take out how many frozen molds you need. They can be thawed quickly by putting in warm water in small plastic container. Or thawed overnight in refrigerator. They can be kept frozen for a year, maybe more.

Doing this now isn’t worth the cost, unless you think you may not be able to get eggs at all. I’m glad I bought a few pounds of powdered eggs last year, which if unopened, can be stored indefinitely. Dried eggs are great in baking.

Shorts and slacks are local. I haven't worn anything other than shorts for the last 4 years. If you see any man of any age or any body type wearing long pants here you laugh and pity them and perhaps recognize them as northern tourists who just don't know how to fit in here. But I fully understand why shorts are seasonal at best in the ice state of WI.

Umm, I've known for 50+ years that you always open the carton and check the eggs BEFORE you buy them. Can't be too hard on the manager here.

Inga, that's a great suggestion. Thanks, I'm going to try it. For all the abuse you take here for your opinions, that's a nice contribution.
