I think you folks in Madison got more snow than we here in Waukesha County. My daughter in Monona said the schools were closed today after only 5 inches of snow, but there were reports of terrible driving conditions.

Symphony in Blue.

Watching a crummy French movie and starting the drinking a day early in anticipation of the big snow/rain.

I bought food in anticipation of the storm, but the fridge and cupboard still seem bare and empty. That's what happens when you don't buy junk/comfort food.

There were some comments about insolvency clawback laws as applied to FTX political donations. Chicken feed. More interesting is yesterday's revelation in Congress that FTX days before ch 11 executed $2b+ buyback of stock owned by Binance. At $32b valuation while everything collapsing. Binance head says not worried, he trusts his lawyers, but I doubt he consulted creditor's rights or bankruptcy counsel when he was putting the proverbial gun to young Sam's head.

George Newell, the last surviving creator of "Schoolhouse Rock," had died.

Conjunctions and lonely bills sitting on Capitol Hill most affected.

Next up, a crummy modern Western.

I respect Carroll, I am reading one of his books right now, but he is in the tank for the Multi-Worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics. I think Multi-Worlds is loopy.

We’re not quite as hardy here in Virginia. Back in the 1990s I was 40 minutes late to a meeting when I expected to be an hour early to the meeting location due to a snow squall that left a small portion of the Washington Beltway covered in a layer of snow only one or two flakes deep. When my kids were grade school age the county closed its schools on a day when it didn’t snow at all, merely a 50% probability of snow.

Joe Biden opened the border and invited illegals to come...and THIS is what his lying Press Secretary said on National TV.

KJP: "The Trump administration "completely gutted" the immigration system."

Too bad they don't catch on fire when they lie this blatantly.
Someday, I hope that each and every one of these liars pay for the lies they spewed to divide this country. THEY did this. And yet, people are dumb enough to vote for this. They really do hate America. The invasion is real, and it is going to get worse..and it is because of the delusional old man sitting in the white house that got put there fraudulently.

This skunt is the biggest asshole in Congress.
She forgets, because she thinks she is a Queen, that SHE works for US....But she is too busy fleecing us, whilst she enriches her self. I hope Karma smacks her in her ugly face good and hard.

"Since the government is still using its resources to arrest new people, why has it not charged Ray Epps?

Epps appeared on video the night before Jan. 6th encouraging those in the crowd “go into the Capitol.” Epps is also seen on Capitol Grounds on January 6th. He is captured on video partaking in activities with other individuals."

Until they can explain WHY Ray Epps is immune to prosecution, when he was CLEARLY inciting people...they can go to hell. They are lying to us.

Thinking about the school closings for weather.

While we know remote learning isn't. There is another route.

Standardized tests.

The corporate world has lots of CBT. Computer Based Training
Snow days would be a great time to drop 4 hours of CBT. Standardized testing would be a way to get a handle an the classes grasp of basic knowledge. Segments of 30 minutes of watching videos, followed by a 20 question test. Would not count toward grade, but would let the teacher see areas that need focus. Great way utilize the wasted day, and still give the kids lots of free time.

We were supposed to get big snow yesterday going into today, and would have if it were a couple degrees colder. But instead we got big rain.

"The problem, the Wall Street Journal notes, is that the migrants who are coming are simply not filling the needs of Germany’s high-skill economy. Of the 800,000 working-age Syrians and Afghans who arrived during the 2015 migrant crisis, only a third of them actually have a tax-paying job."

Gee, count me as shocked. Thankfully the migrants entering the US via the southern border are highly skilled.

We didn't get as much snow as you. In a cruel twist. I left Michigan yesterday afternoon and the driving was clear until I hit the Illinois boarder. The snow just got worse until I got off at Aurora. Good rush hour driving by people who know how to navigate an expressway in bad weather.

"A nation has borders. Without them, it is a fiction. Can we long survive this invasion? Who pays for the social services of a government that oversees the welfare of anyone who decides to come?

We now have pretend elections. Send in your ballots, please. Vote early and vote often. But not to worry. The outcome will be decided for you.

Our currency is debased by inflation. A digital economy is being arranged by actors in a World Economic Forum according to their own special interests. What sort of nation are we if we cannot control our income and debt?"

Yeah, when I was reviewing workers comp claims, 1/3 were Mexican illegals. The most claimed level of education was second grade and many were illiterate in Spanish. They spoke Indian dialects only.

I doubt the present invasion is any improvement.
