"Was there a prequel to this video? I feel I'm missing context."

Said Baceseras about item #4 on last night's curated list of links to delightful short videos.

The only "prequel" is some kid's letter to another kid. It's a kind of found art.

It might help to know that the artist, someone named Lubalin, has been making videos like this for a while. You can see all his videos here (on YouTube). Highly recommended. I wrote about his massively entertaining "15,000 pound horse" video here, in 2021.

You can see the artist demonstrating his method on a similar letter  — some kid's apology letter — in this YouTube video:

I originally thought this video explained the same kid-letter video that was item #4. But they are 2 different kid letters, and I had to tweak the post.

Same artist, demonstrating his method for processing found text.

Only 4-minutes in, don't have time to finish now, but wow, this guy has a ton of talent and is a natural entertainer. And free of CCP manipulation, which is a critical feature.

I'll listen to the rest when I do my tantric yoga sesh laterz.

I did not expect to enjoy that at all. It was fantastic!

I don't think I have ever seen fewer comments on a post here. Did no one but Howard and I watch this video? It is worth the time.

I love that threatening apology!

"This can go the easy way or the hard way. I think you should go with easy."

That's pretty much an apology from Justified.

I love the word abology because your subconscious wants to abolish you.

You better apology, or it's abology!

such an awesome clip

thanks Althouse!

When I was in film school, scoring my movie was super-hard. I lucked out and got a real musician to do it. I would point out what emotions I wanted in particular spots, and he would put in some music to arouse that emotion.

Collaboration is the toughest thing for an artist to do, I think. It's been described in film as "herding cats."

For movies, you "lock picture" and then give it to the music guy. Noah Woodburn was my guy. He did some brilliant stuff for me. When a film collaboration falls apart, it's hell on earth. And when it works? It's amazing.

As entertaining as the final result is, watching it develop is much more interesting and original.

What a treat!

Need an Abologize! tag, I think.

Although that could see some serious overuse in the comment section.

Inga! Abologize!
