Have been seeing a lot of Hillary clips lately.

She's beginning to resemble one of those wrinkled apple doll faces.

Maybe she should spend some of her hundreds of millions on a personal chef and trainer...

Most? Shouldn't the story be the states where it's not safe?

If they're saying they are safe in the states where absentee voting is legal, then they need a new headline writer...

Can we please talk the NBC report that got pulled regarding Paul Pelosi’s demeanor when the cops showed up? Holy Shit!!! NBC let the cat out of the bag. Now they can't get it censored on the new Twitter.

NBC News has pulled a bombshell report that claimed Paul Pelosi did not tell responding police officers that he was in danger just before he was injured in a hammer attack at his San Francisco home last week.

The clip posted by the media outlet early Friday morning cited sources close to the investigation that claimed the husband of US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi did not declare an emergency or say he was in distress when cops showed up at his door in response to his 911 call.

The report by Emmy Award-winning journalist Miguel Almaguer claimed the 82-year-old walked back a few feet away from the officers and into the foyer toward David DePape, 42, who had earlier broken into the home armed with a hammer.

As Pelosi reportedly took steps away from the responding officers and in the direction of DePape, they saw him bludgeon Pelosi with the hammer, the report claimed.

The NBC News report also stated that it was not clear what Pelosi's mental status was when he reportedly stepped back away from police and that responding officers were seemingly unaware that it was the home of Nancy Pelosi, who has a security detail and was in Washington, D.C. at the time of the attack.

The report, which differs from the court documents filed earlier this week, was published Friday morning. By early afternoon, the report had been pulled.”

Now that nearly half of Republicans support efforts to find a negotiated settlement in Ukraine, I am feeling less lonely. Of course Jake Sullivan just made an unscheduled trip to Ukraine to warn Zelensky not to seek any kind of deal, so WW3 going fully hot is still in the cards.

The big joke is that it’s the Ukrainians who want the war to drag on when it is plainly a US project.

According to Heavy:

"Twitter is flooded with people assuming as a fact that David DePape and/or Paul Pelosi were in their underwear when San Francisco police arrived at the scene of the October 28 hammer attack. But is that true? What’s the evidence?

According to the federal affidavit released on October 31, 2022, DePape was wearing shorts [not undershorts] during the attack.

The claim appears to have ignited when a single news organization, KTVU-TV, a Fox News affiliate in Oakland, California, reported that DePape was wearing only his underwear when police arrived. The news organization, which is generally regarded as credible, later posted a correction and removed the erroneous information about the underwear from the article."

And if NBC ever published news on the subject of dress, I find no evidence of it. So calm down and await DePape's trial, because SF cops wear bodycams that will tell the real story so the wild and wonderful version of events on Elmo Twitter will have to be read while carefully pressing your tongue to your cheek. Capitol police also have a video of DePape smashing the window glass door to get in so even more evidnce is available about his clothing. BTW, Paul Pelosi at age 82 likely has zero sex in his life.

So, was Emily Oster lying? Or was she, a highly credentialed professor, simply ignorant? Or is she a prime example of sheeple, someone willing to willfully follow authjority figures without eever doubting them? You know, what leftists proclaim Trump voters are. If no- she's willfully ignorant.

The Robber Baron, whoever that may be, has a thread showing many links and studies about stuff that was known at the beginning of the covidiocy. Some of which I read directly, some of which I read about elsewhere. But the thread does show- if you wanted to know that the actions taken, the isolation, the masking, and vaccination DURING a pandemic, were all things already known to be useless, and in case of vaccinations during a pandemic, counterproductive, they're all oin his thread. How long will it take the left to start condemning whistleblowers?

Amazing how the left loves the police, as long as they are federal police and controlled by political agents.

Used to be, leftists were suspicious of the FBI and the CIA. Now they're in bed with them.

Political idiots aside, I suspect there are huge numbers of people on the left who don't love the FBI. And now that this agency has decimated its Republican support, who's going to save you when the subpoenas get issued?

the FBI has a secret partnership with Facebook in which the bureau receives private user information from the social network without the user’s consent or other legal processes.

I wonder if Mr. Zuckerberg will be a stand-up guy who goes to prison like G. Gordon Liddy? Or will he fold like a cheap tent? Subpoena his ass and find out!

The whole Pelosi debacle looks to be exactly what the Republicans have been saying. WHY did they pull the NBC story telling how Pelosi himself opened the door for the police, and turned around and went RIGHT BACK to his attacker?? Something fishy going on, and the left used this to attack Republicans when there is no way in hell that illegal alien, BLM lover is a MAGA. He is a Progressive. PERIOD. Why are they hiding the truth again. Why not show us the video tape (just like the January 6th debacle....where they cherry picked the videos to show the worst things, but not the TRUTH....like the Capitol police beating up on Roseanne Boyland whom they beat to death with a steel baton) Show us the truth, or we will assume we are correct about the lies they are telling us.

Saint Croix said...

Will the Hunter Biden investigation actually be a show trial, which is very bad and not what the House should be doing?

Well, yeah. But at least that's a fun show trial. Criminal allegations aren't enough. The J6 show trial had zero sex. I didn't watch the damn thing, that's just my osmosis feeling about it, there was no damn sex in that show trial. Nothing sexy about those idiots at all.

Hunter Biden, on the other hand, not only has major crimes, but we've got sex, money, more sex, and drugs. The Woke Media might actually have to cover it, just so all their viewers don't go to Fox News. Even the Woke kids like sex and drugs and money in their media diets.

Aside from its stupidity and illegality, the J6 show trial was boring as shit. Way too long. How is it you own Hollywood and you've got no fucking editors?

I say, let's do a one-month show trial -- during sweeps week! -- and wrap that shit. When it's over, it's over. Don't go into fucking reruns. That's the kiss of death, ask CNN.

Johnny Depp could play Hunter in the movie!

Wisconsin Court Shoots Down Attempt to Change Rules for Absentee Ballots Before Midterms

A Wisconsin judge on Wednesday dealt a blow to a group in the state who hoped to change rules governing absentee ballots, denying their request that local election clerks accept absentee ballots that contain partial addresses of witnesses.

Dane County Circuit Judge Juan Colas said in his ruling (pdf) that in the past 56 years that Wisconsin elections have been conducted, and absentee ballots counted, they have apparently been done so “without a legally binding definition of the witness address.”

The judge noted that the nearly 60 years of precedent was enough to determine whether an absentee ballot has enough of a witness address to count.

“Since then, until the present, clerks have been legally free to interpret the term. They presumably have done so in good faith, in keeping with their oaths of office, and drawing on the non-binding guidance issued by the WEC and its predecessors, and perhaps also on advice from their jurisdictions’ attorneys,” Colas wrote.

“In short, the legal status quo with respect to the definition of ‘address’ is the same as it has been for 56 years. Local clerks apply their understanding of the term ‘address’ to absentee ballot certifications, relying on non-binding advice from state elections authorities and, at least in some cases, advice from their municipal attorneys,” Colas continued.

“Evidence that there is variation in how clerks interpret the term (even evidence of increased variation), does not change the status quo, which is that the law has always left room for local clerks to interpret and apply the term to the ballot envelope before them.”

According to guidance from the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC), an address is defined as three components: a street number, street name, and municipality.

"‘Varying Interpretations’ of Address Requirement Being Applied
In a motion (pdf) filed in court on Oct. 25, Rise Inc, a group that works to get young people to vote, said that new evidence had come to light which showed that “clerks across Wisconsin are applying varying interpretations of the absentee ballot witness address requirement,” denying the idea that WEC’s three-component definition is the ‘status quo.'”

The group has asked that an address requires only enough information to determine the location of the witness.

Colas on Wednesday said it was inappropriate to issue an order that changes the status quo.

The ruling comes within days of the Nov. 8 midterm elections. Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers, a Democrat, and Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) are both up for reelection in the battleground state.

In a separate case this week, the 1st District Court of Appeals declined to hear an appeal of a ruling from Dane County Circuit Judge Nia Trammell in late October regarding the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin.

The League asked that the court declare that a missing address on a mail-in ballot means only that the address field is left entirely blank, and that election officials be allowed to count mail-in ballots with incomplete addresses on them.

Trammell rejected the request, arguing that it “would upend the status quo and not preserve it” and “frustrate the electoral process by causing confusion,” with just weeks to go until the elections.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

You could say that about sports, too, I guess, but you better not because it's UGA versus Tennessee, and then I got the World Series, and my Dad is disappointed that I'm not watching the Carolina game with him. So the University of Georgia, national champions last year, are undefeated this year. My school. Utterly dominant on the gridiron.

A bunch of Associated Press journalists, those fuckers, decided to vote UGA down two spaces from #1 to #3 this week.

Tennessee, also undefeated, rose from #3 to #1. Some idiots in the AP decided to say Tennessee is the #1 school in the land. Just because they could!

(Whatever fucking AP Yankees like Ohio State kept Ohio State at #2).

AP fuckwits! Dropped the undefeated national champions! To #3! Just because they can! You motherfuckers. Just sit on your ass and opine shit. That always works.

Today, on the gridiron, Georgia crushed #1 Tennessee, what was that score, Professor Reynolds, just asking? Oh yeah. 27 to 13. (It wasn't that close).

I don't mean to rub it in, or cause gnashing of teeth in the faculty lounge. These things happen. What I would like to point out is the symbolism I see in this AP shellacking. It's not just Tennessee that was embarrassed. The AP was humiliated.

By, yes, a red wave.

Make it happen.

Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014)

Brilliant movie about the wrath of God. And it’s a super-realistic epic, in the style of Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ. The whole second half of the movie I’m going, wow, wow. I just love the parting of the Red Sea, how grounded in the world it is, how realistic.

Scott took some liberties with Biblical text, which annoys a lot of people (very low rating at IMDB). But he’s captured the heart of the story. It made me weep.

I don't judge film by historical accuracy (unless it's a documentary). The New York film critics gave Hitchcock a lot of shit for his inability to accurately portray Greenwich Village. And Truffaut gave them a lot of shit for their inability to see the amazing art that's in front of their eyes.

When I first read about the final confrontation between Pharaoh and Moses, I didn't get it. Why did Pharaoh let the Jews leave, and then chase after them? It made no sense to me.

Then I saw this scene in the movie. Wow.

Also I frickin' love the crossing of the red sea, grounded in scientific possibilities. To me its fine to take Biblical stories and find emotional truths in them. God wants us to do that. Anyway, I have a minority opinion about this one among Christians, I think. Love this film.
