Nothing is certain until we see how much fraud the Democrats can generate. 250K ballots in Pennsylvania is one indicator.
Gotta give credit to Obama. His election and reelection convinced dem activists that they didn't need those dirty blue collar voters. His administration saw the party lose over a thousand seats across all levels of government, stripping the bench of anything approaching a moderate dem.
The dems obsession with getting Trump at all costs has certainly weakened themselves in the long run as well. Russiagate has soured the right against the DoJ and made them amenable to its disbanding. The response to COVID and the 2020 elections did further damage to the reputation of the bureaucracy. While Trump was removed from office, the establishment burned through every scrap of institutional credibility which they had, and are now trapped with responsibility for every disaster unfolding as the post CW order collapses.
Kari Lake has said that we could call her Trump in a dress. I hope it works out better than Giuliani in a dress.
May or may not work, certainly hope it does. But the democrats have been a disaster especially the last 6-7 years. If the conservatives get their acts together and deliver results people want, then the democrats are in for a world of hurt.
It's going to work because millions of former independents have realized who and what the left really are. The social media revolution, of which Trump was a part of for good or ill, took the mask off and it will keep it off. They are insane. Plus a malevolent desire to supplant the American experiment with their own experiment using billions of people as their guinea pigs.
Not everyone who sees Medusa turns to stone. Some people cut the Gorgons head off, roll up their sleeves, and get kraken.

I'd ascribe this to an America First populism rather than a point along a left-right ideological spectrum. The former being a greater threat to a traditional Democrat base. Tulsi Gabbard, anyone?

If you don't worship Trump blindly - you're a democrat?
If our nation hangs on one dopey insulting fat old man - we really are screwed. I want better than Trump.
Sounds like the left is lining up behind Trump again. Because that worked so well for them in 2016.
Democrat policies have left America decades behind. Remember Joe in the Chrysler plant said "I don't work for you" to that skilled tradesman. Joe really meant that. Democrats fell for the Obama scam twice and where did it get them?... infanticide as a family value, and welfare instead of jobs. Back to the 50s.
The party’s voters feel strongly enough about the populist, pro-Trump positioning that they have supported them over more experienced and less controversial figures. This reinvention is presenting midterm voters with something that looks fresh and new, at a time when the old party identities, and old norms and institutions, seem feeble and impotent.
Merely “looks fresh and new”? “Seems feeble and impotent? Weasel words from a weasel. Yes, I get that he’s writing for the readers of the New York Times, the sort of people who rejoiced at the famous Newsweek cover that proclaimed “We are all socialists now.” Still, all the gaslighting in the world cannot hide the reality that it was Democrat mayors and politicians who painted “Defund the Police” on city streets. Democrat prosecutors like John Chisholm released killers back onto the streets to kill again — and to run down children and grandmothers in a Christmas parade. (BTW, Althouse, are you and your fellow professors proud that Chisholm graduated from Wisconsin Law?)
Joe Biden and the Democrats, and their support staff in the New York Times and the Washington Post, can try to pretend that their economic policies didn’t directly lead to high inflation. They can try to pretend that closing off land to drilling for oil and canceling the Keystone Pipeline had nothing to do with high energy prices. They can try using sophistry to argue that the US isn’t in a recession.
But just because we ain’t university professors don’t mean we’re stupid.

Jordan Peterson had Newt Gingrich on his podcast last week. Gingrich said that what Reagan did, and what Gingrich himself did in the Contract for America, was to run on a set of issues for which, regardless of what the GOPe or the MSM said, there was 70% public support.
I think that the American Public has been propagandized to such an extent that the level of support required should be lowered to 60%. In any event, that is what the MAGA candidates are running on.
I enjoy reading the thoughts here, but don't forget that if think we can accurately anticipate the events that are going to unfold, we're getting high on our own supply. Timing and good fortune were key in the bonanza of justices Trump was able to nominate, and both of these factors will stay in play through the installation of the next Congress.
"Events" will do what they do. That's the main reason things are so grim for the people in charge.

We're in the mess we are now because of professional politicians. So tell me- what's the downside here?
Article doesn't mention "minority" or "Black and Brown" voters. The Democrats have nothing left but control of pretty much every major institution. Which may be enough, laager-style.
Left lining up behind Trump - because they need that cheat machine again in 2024.
I'd add that we are already in a "culture war" whether we like it or not, and that liberals, progressives and Democrats have more responsibility for starting it, but on the whole, he's right.
Fifty years ago I picked up some conservative paperbacks at a second hand bookstore. I was captivated. At this point though, conservative/libertarian rhetoric -- and all political rhetoric and ideology -- sound repetitive, tiresome and insincere to me. I appreciated how Trump was able to get around the clichés, even as I cringed at some of the things he said. It wasn't the "culture war combativeness" -- that was downplayed most of the time and subordinated to the MAGA message -- it was the gleefulness that was attractive.
I can well understand wanting seriousness and gravitas from politicians, but the people who claimed to offer it didn't appear to offer any way out of the nation's problems, just more of the same, more of what had gotten us into the mess, and when politicians try to ascend to gravitas, solemnity and nobility the result is usually transparently hypocritical, unconvincing and ridiculous, as we see with Biden's "Democracy is on the ballot" speech.
But now, Trump is too fixated on his own personal wounds. I'd like to think he could rise above that, but it appears that he can't.
Of course it's going to work. It's a good strategy.
"Moderate" Biden promised a return to normality. What did he and his party deliver?
"Saving Democracy" did not work in 2022.
"Authoritarian Trump will destroy America" is not going to work in 2024.
The Democratic Party is imploding.
Rather than address their issues, they will double down on anti-Trump.
Most if not all of the candidates named in your excerpt above were opposed by the GOP leadership and establishment but all of them were Trump endorsees. Many of them were given terrible odds by the party establishment for the primaries and for the general to follow, including Mr. Masters, who was loudly denied any funding by McConnell and his Senate money machine.
The writer appears to be writing a "rehabilitative history" here to make the oldline party stalwarts look good and like they were on the right side here - and all is well and we don't really need The Donald to make this all happen, when the truth is that without Trump's kingmaking in 2022, the party would have gleefully reverted to the McConnell/Graham model of losing gracefully and remaining the ever-complaining minority whose leadership still got all the perq's to make things comfortable for them.
If all/most of the Trump chosen win this week, the Grover Cleveland 2.0 Trump '24 campaign is going to be supercharged and perhaps the most exciting place to be since Obama's wildly exciting 2008 run, or the "Reagan Revolution" in '80 (or even moreso '84).
So the party of the Obamas and Bill Russell who repeatedly flirts with drafting Oprah and The Rock to run for president, that party, is calling Herschel Walker a celebrity candidate? Thirty fucking years after his sports heyday and he’s still a celebrity huh? This just reinforces my belief that progressives when not trying to change our language or outlaw common terms is actively abusing the hell out of English just because they are pissed at being political losers right now. Liz Mathis, an Anchorwoman from KLWW
or
Ashley Hinson, an Anchorwoman from KCRG
A bigger choice than you'd might think; because KLWW is from Cedar Falls and KCRG is from Cedar Rapids
Also, Liz Mathis supports sucking living babies out of women's wombs and throwing them in the trash;
she ALSO suports hacking off young girls' breasts and vaginas. When asked about this; she said:

Left lining up behind Trump - because they need that cheat machine again in 2024.
Why would they not cheat if DeSantis is the nominee?
If they can cheat, they'll cheat either way. If they can't cheat enough to win, then I'd rather have Trump.
If you don't worship Trump blindly - you're a democrat?
This is the kind of bullshit democrats say. Why can’t we appreciate Trump without the weird accusation of worshiping him? I like the up and coming Republican candidates, especially Lake and Desantis, but I despise the accusation I worship any person on earth. I understand exactly who and what Trump is and I’m way more offended by the concerted efforts to destroy Trump than any of the things Trump says, including his mild swipes at Ron last night. Trump never got a legit first term because of all the democrat and GOPe resistance and persecution. I’m not allowing the heckler’s veto writ large in the mainstream media and politics or among people I respect like Hunters Hooker. Not buying that bullshit. As long as Trump is viable he’s the party leader. Let the primary chips fall where they may.
Hunter Biden's tax payer funded Hooker: "Left lining up behind Trump - because they need that cheat machine again in 2024."
LOL
Yes, because the New Soviet Democraticals are much too gentlemanly and ladylike to run the cheat machine against any other republican. Nope: its just Trump that causes the dems to cheat.
Thanks again for your inspired "insight" HBTPFH!
No, the "Trump Difference" in terms of cheating is the fact that the dems know they can get the entire GOPe team on board to allow the dems to cheat against Trump, just like they did in 2020.
Unfortunately for the GOPe-ers and their worshippers, some on this blog, a few new facts on the ground have changed. For instance, Georgia passed the law that disallows what the loathsome Raffensberger and his team of pro-dem staffers (in particular Gabe Sperling) did with the $45M from Zuckerburg in 2020, so they can't pull that trick again to help their dem allies. And in AZ, this election could see the clearing out, finally, of the dying McCainiac pro-dem "republican" factions from state government that allowed all the obvious cheating in Maricopa to occur.
What we really need is for the republican underdogs to win their gov races in MI, WI and PA. But that's difficult too since Rove and McConnell and the entirety of the GOPe has been sabotaging our candidates. Rove even used money supposedly given to assist OZ in his Senate race to create TV ads that pumped up the image of the dem Shapiro in the Gov's race against republican Mastriano!
Why would Rove/McConnell do this you might ask? To help set the dems up for a 2024 Cheat-a-thon if Trump is the candidate.
Thanks GOPe-ers and GOPe worshippers! And you know who you are.
"It's going to work because millions of former independents have realized who and what the left really are."
The problem is that we do not really have a left party. The Dems are essentially moderate Republicans. The disillusioned "former independents" are sick of voting for what they're promised and getting something else. Those who aren't stupid will vote for independent parties; those who are stupid or simply wishing for something better will vote for the Republicans.

Ahhh, yes. Democrats.

The cheat machine is aided by the hate machine. The over-the-top hated of Trump inspires the left to behave the way it does. Not denying they won't do it again with someone else - but with Trump they have an advantage.
I'm not sure who bothers to read you posts, Drago. Good luck.
We need more people in Washington and in Governors mansions who don't have "political" experience. The real threat to Democracy are these lifetime, evil politicians like Biden and Pelosi. We can throw McConnel in there. Time he goes too. Diane Feinstein is already gone...but still in power.
I think they get to the point where the lives of those they rule, or hope to rule become expendable. The Bush and Cheney Families taught us that.
Look at the way our gov't has treated the American people during COVID, and now the soaring crime and runaway inflation. Stripped us of guaranteed freedoms and hard earned wealth. Made lab rats out of the general population and children with their poison mRNA shot mandates.

Hunter Biden's tax payer funded Hooker: "I wonder when Trump will start slamming Kari Lake?
He's already crapping all over DeSanstis."
There is no reason for Trump to send a shot across Kari Lake's bow.
- It's been clear for months that DeSantis is the primary choice of the GOPe/establishment/Wall Streeters/Hedge Funders to step in as the Trump replacement (Youngkin is over in the wings as well. Note: Nobody except the idiot Paul Ryan is talking up Nikki Haley much anymore. The Jeb! in a skirt)
- These backers of DeSantis as the Trump successor have filled DeSantis coffers with over $200M in donations (almost all Wall Streeters and hedge fund dudes, the dudes that OPPOSED Trump's economic/ChiCom engagement policies)
- These backers, and Ron himself, are no dummies. They know how much of the republican base vote will go with Trump no matter what, so they cannot be too explicit in attacking or undermining Trump which would alienate those voters (recall how every other candidate that took on Trump head on has fared with the republican base voters)
- It's also been clear since the Mar A Lago raid that the DOJ/FBI/NY State/Dems have an ally in the GOPe in terms of trying to take Trump out via Lawfare against him, his family and his businesses and its widely believed this cabal will indict Trump after the election (recall that just last week the DOJ let "leak" how far along they were in internal discussions to appoint a special prosecutor to handle any potential Candidate Trump "investigation")
- It is also rumored, rumors everywhere from lots of quarters including from insiders who have been proven correct in the past, that this plan or set of eventualities has been shared with the GOPe leaders and that those leaders have shared it with Ron DeSantis while whispering honey-sweet nothings into Ron's ear about being the logical "back up"/"fall back" heir apparent once Trump is taken out (recall that DeSantis went into a 5 day strategy meeting with his advisor group a day before the Mar A Lago raid itself and DeSantis did not re-emerge until 4 days later when he had very, very little to say about the raid on Trump....which occurred in his own state)
- Since that time, DeSantis and Trump have been somewhat distant, which makes perfect sense: the leading candidate opponents are moving to their respective corners and, in doing so, clearly telegraphing intent
- Trump's comment about DeSantis follows Trump's "leaks" about declaring his candidacy right after the election....to put both the DOJ/FBI/Dems/GOPe on notice that he wasn't going to be backed down by Special Counsel threats and to let Ron DeSantis know something else: If Ron and his team think Ron can sit quietly by while the DOJ/FBI/Dems/GOPe do their stuff to Trump and take him out, he (Trump) will make sure his base does not go anywhere near DeSantis.
That's quite a threat given the size of that cohort and how long a memory that cohort will have.
So now we have a multi-headed game of "chicken" going on, each faction with strengths and weaknesses, and we shall see how it plays out.
The results on Tuesday will play a big part in it. If many/most/all of the Trump endorsed America Firsters win, it's going to make it harder for Team GOPe/Dem to play their games which, consequently, impact DeSantis planning.
DeSantis is in the most difficult and trickiest situation here. The White House is being dangled in front of him, and I'm sure he sees it as a noble calling to rescue the nation from the lunatics on the left, which is all of them. But getting the Trump base on board is an absolute pre-requisite to winning the nomination. You will lose them by confronting Trump directly. You will lose them even if you don't confront Trump directly but are seen as part of the corrupt cabal that improperly takes Trump out, again.
So what will he do?
We won't have long to wait to find out.

You have to understand what drives these Never-Trumpers.
They think they are better people than Trump and his supporters. They cannot discuss these things in a good faith manner because they don't have the self awareness and/or honesty to deal with their motivations and class consciousness.
They think his supporters are dumb and icky. They like pretty people like McCain, Romney, Desantis etc. People with cringy ridiculous advertising and slick talk read from a teleprompter.
Hershal Walker ran his own business. He is infinitely more accomplished than Ron Desantis. Desantis is a career pol with zero real world accomplishments. But guess who wishes they had a "better candidate" in Georgia.

If only Comrade Stalin were on the ballot for Cook.
Hoping Trump is doing his now-characteristic triple-head-fake on any plan to run again. He is most useful --to himself and to the "real" GOP (not the RINOs)-- doing what he is doing now: endorsing new talent and trashing the opposition. Not only is that a straightforward and internally-consistent mission, it burns up enormous quantities of the opposition's "brainpower" as they go quite mad hyperventilating at what he's doing and worrying about what he might do next.
Dems are in coffin corner. They own all the trouble we're in; they have no new ideas; they've coasted on their brand (and now, with "persons of color" trying to dragoon Hispanics into the Black Grievance camp, they've overextended the brand, failing to seduce Hispanics and possibly alienating Blacks); their tactics (hysteria, hyperbole, outright falsehood and personal attack) are repellent to anyone with a conscience or a brain. So on the merits they are unlikely to win votes; and any cheating will therefore have to be monumental to succeed, and therefore will be obvious.
Pass the popcorn.

And those people betrayed him.
People like Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell.
Now Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell and the Republican Establishment are supporting Ron Desantis with record campaign contributions and trying to pump up anyone but Trump.
Only someone stupid enough to support Mitt Romney in 2012 and not learn from that would support any one of these unproven candidates over Trump.
I wonder if Trump's big donor money has dried up. I bet it has. He used to bag the big billionaires - like the Las Vegas Casino owner guy... etc...
Now that the big money has shifted to others including DeSantis - I would imagine that makes Trump and his loyalists very bitter. with tendencies to lash out.
btw- Did Bannon really abuse and pocket all the "build the wall" money"? If so - is it any wonder the big donors are leaving Trump?

How did the late Bill Russell become an issue? Bill Bradley I could understand. I notice the Boston Globe gloating that Scott Brown has become a girl's high school basketball coach this fall, but the guy is retired and can do what he likes.

Trump missed the mark with the quip about DeSantis tonight. It's four days before the Midterm; the Governor is facing re-election and is a MAGA ally. No need for friendly fire. Keep the guns targeted on the Left.

1) There’d be no DeSantis without Trump.
2) Trump was marvelous president pre-Covid.
3) DeSantis arguably best GOP governor ever.
4) Trump surrendered his presidency to Covid.
5) 2020 election was a fraud.
6) DeSantis helped save country from Covid.
This has been my Ted Talk.
Hunter Biden's tax payer funded Hooker : "btw- Did Bannon really abuse and pocket all the "build the wall" money"? If so - is it any wonder the big donors are leaving Trump?"
With every post you expose more of your ignorance.
Trump has one of the biggest small donor bases, if not the biggest, and he previously very little from the Wall Street/hedge fund crew who were actually Jeb!'s big donors.
Trump famously survived on free media, his small donor base and a few big donors like Adelson.
You'd be amazed what you can pick up by reading campaign disclosures and a wide range of political insiders with proven track records.
Or you can just sit back fat dumb and happy and swallow whatever McConnell and Luntz and the legacy media feed you.
Hunter Biden's tax payer funded Hooker : "btw- Did Bannon really abuse and pocket all the "build the wall" money"?"
You know perfectly well he didnt and that entire case was a crock.
But you are in full blown GOPe/LizCheney mode now and nothing is going to stop you.
The biggest complaint the Never Trumpers bring up is Trump trusted Republican Insiders and didn't really get much of his agenda passed.
And those people betrayed him.
People like Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell.
Now Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell and the Republican Establishment are supporting Ron Desantis with record campaign contributions and trying to pump up anyone but Trump.
Don't you see? Trump is trying to take advantage of you. Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell and the Republican Establishment are just trying to save you from yourself and your lying eyes.

GOPe/LizCheney Guy: "If so - is it any wonder the big donors are leaving Trump?"
Hey Rachel Maddow, name names.
We'll wait.....(not really of course, cuz we both know nothing's coming)
Back in 2016 I voted for Donald Trump because the alternative was the single most corrupt candidate for the Predidency since James G. Blaine in 1884. Her in-your-face corruption and her open contempt for the rule of law are so extreme that anyone who voted for Hillary should spend the balance of their lives in shame and abasement.
Once in office Donsld Trump was a very pleasant surprise. His out-of-the-box thinking on economic matters and foreign policy reaped huge (no, Yuge!) dividends, particularly for the working people on the bottom end of the economic ladder. Plus his elimination of the limousine liberals-favoring SALT deduction meant that people on the upper end of the economic ladder were (finally!) paying their fair share. Most of the limousine liberals didn’t like it much. Tough. Sick It up, bitches and sons thereof.
For me crowning moment came when Trump got us into something akin to a trade war with China. One morning I read a learned disquisition on why trade wars never work. That afternoon China acceded to all of Trump’s demands. Basically, they capitulated unconditionally.
Economics wasn’t the only area where Trump out-thought the experts; the Abraham Accords were another.
Fast forward two years. Trump has done far better than advertised as a kingmaker, there are a few cases (cough, Pennsylvania) where the only thing saving his candidate is just how bad the opposing Democrat is. But if he thinks that his kingmaker role can and ought to extend to verbally abusing his fellow Republicans then he can forget 2024 as far as I am concerned. It’s an unforced error, and not the only one he’s made.
On Trump/DeSantis:
If you want DeSantis, you need to demonstrate an electoral path for him- states like WI, PA, and MI have voted for the Democrats every single election since 1988, except for 2016. I find it unlikely that a non-Trump candidate can win in those states as the Republican nominee. All three of those states still have a long term blue tilt, and only Trump has overcome that tilt. A normal Republican like DeSantis, had he been the candidate in 2020, would have lost those three states by at least 6-7 percent each given their normal 2-4 percent blue tilt, and would have still lost the election even with Arizona and Georgia in the win column. This is the problem for the Republicans- the Democrats are very close to having an electoral lock on the Presidency. Trump found one way to pick that lock, and I don't see who else can pick the same lock, or find a different one to pick.
On Tuesday night, if a winner isn't declared in any race by 6 hours after the polls close, then the counting will continue until the Democrat wins.
I prefer DeSantis not so much because of policy differences but because DeSantis is better at the poetry and prose of politics compared to Trump. "Lock her up" repeated endlessly in 2024 won't seal the deal - however, if he IS the nominee in 2024 he'll absolutely get my third vote.
Achilles - who did you vote for in 2012?
Trump showed the way. Stop kowtowing to the mediaswine and the Democrats. He was undermined by RINOs and sleazy underlings at every turn. He opened eyes to that and to goverment corruption by the Dems.
There are a number of good Republicans who could continue his work to salvage the country. His edge is that he seems able to afford the legal fees.
I am in awe of Drago. He gets a lot of typing in, even with both hands holding Trump's behind while he kisses it and awaits further "inspiration."
"That sounds like someone who lives in a completely clueless NYC bubble."
No longer. I moved out of NYC this past year, (at the wishes of my wife). I was 25 when I moved to NYC. NYC didn't develop my views.
I grew up in a Republican family in northeast Florida, and I even voted for Ford in 1976 and Reagan in 1980. However, as I looked at the world around me I began to see that it didn't fit the tidy paradigm I had heard from my family, and I began to see that they were living in a projection of their own beliefs, seeing only that which confirmed their existing beliefs and remaining blind to that which contradicted their beliefs (which is true of most people everywhere, of course).
By Reagan's second run for President, I was in NYC and I voted for whomever his opponent was. I voted Democrat up to and including Bill Clinton's first run for the White House. I voted for him reluctantly, but by 1996, I voted for the Green Party candidate, (Ralph Nader at the time and again in 2000). I saw Clinton as someone who talked like a progressive but whose policies contradicted his rhetoric. This has been true of all subsequent Democrats who have won the White House. I have voted for the Green Party candidate ever since, whomever he or she happened to be. I don't expect the Green Party to win, but I feel that if I just abstain from voting, I will just be one of those apathetic citizens who just don't care enough to vote. My vote for Green Party is simply my symbolic gesture of concern to and for myself. It's purely a protest vote. I do not anticipate voting for any Democrat for President going forward unless he or she is someone I believe to be sincere and committed to truly progressive policies. I am not holding my breath, as the Dems--or their leadership, at least--resolutely ignore the lessons kicking them in their collective faces as to what their voters want. (Obama was definitely a huckster in that regard, which became apparent to me before his first election day, which is why I didn't vote for the self-hallowed candidate for "Hope and Change," (sic).
This column from Counterpunch this weekend expresses my general outlook on the two parties, both essentially enemies of the American public, toadies to their wealthy paymasters.
"Trump showed the way."
So did Hitler and Mussolini, as have other versions of their ilk over time. Posture, make fantastic claims, insult a chosen enemy with non-stop insults and name-calling, and pander to the brutish passions of the most ignorant of their benighted followers, vowing to inflict revenge on the hated others. (Unfortunately, the Dems in recent years have been no better on this front.)

Well stated. Especially your conclusion.
I'd add to your analysis one thing - that I will defend Trump against every left-wing BS lie that was manufactured to destroy him... the Russia Hoax and more.
Lily dog - lol. Indeed. but you know -that makes us the Maddow-Cheney.
We must wake up in morning and say the pledge of allegiance to the Trump - or else.
4) Trump surrendered his presidency to Covid.
5) 2020 election was a fraud.
6) DeSantis helped save country from Covid.
DeSantis' COVID policies were in line with Trump's, and if DeSantis has been president in 2020, he would have done nothing significantly different than Trump, and would still have lost reelection.
Blogger Lilly, a dog: "I am in awe of Drago. He gets a lot of typing in, even with both hands holding Trump's behind while he kisses it and awaits further "inspiration."'
It is my understanding there are still quite a few McConnell/Romney types flitting about and angry their little joint GOPe/establishment operation to keep the uniparty agenda moving forward was interrupted by Trump.
It explains alot of the anger one encounters on particular blogs.
Republicans should not criticize other Republicans, as Reagan counseled.
Especially at a time like this.
Fuck! These! Democrats! Vote Republican.
How ‘bout making your comments sans backbiting?
Mr. Wibble,
Has Trump come out and said anything to criticize the "vaccines"?
DeSantis has at least shed some light on the downsides of that failure.
Trump could have pivoted long ago and stated the deep state, covid cartel or whatever undermined him. But he's too damn pig headed and prideful to do that...or just still ignorant about what he enabled. Same for the death protocols in the hospitals.
Hunter Biden's tax payer funded Hooker : "Big Mike 3:23

LOL
Just today you blamed Trump for democraticals cheating in elections!
What was it you wrote? That the democraticals are lining up behind Trump to reenergize the "cheat machine" or something to that effect?
Nsturally other commenters asked why the demicraticals wouldn't use whatever cheat machine against any republican.
A fair question.
Did you ever come up with an answer to that one HBTPFH?
Don't dare mock Drago or his master Trump - or they will insult you.
Funny - I thought Trump could take it? I guess not.
DRago - you sound hysterical. Not everyone shares your opinions. Get over yourself.
Okay. Liz Romeny McConnell Maddow? Geeez.
After five years one would think that the heavy-handed and simplistic attempts to generate in-fighting would be easily dismissed. *pokes with a stick* hey trump said something mean about desantis, you two fight now. Neither one of them is focused on this, why is anyone?
If I were given a wish to get an answer to a poll-type question, it would be: Ahat percentage of Americans say 'yes' to this question: "Would you vote for Donald Trump in 2024 simply on the basis of the disgraceful way that his presidency, and all of its related energy, was bitterly fought, tooth and nail on every single imaginable front, tying up government resources, violating mission objectives, and liquidating progress, simply on the basis that the Establishment was outraged that he won, and was utterly resolved to never giving his presidency a fair shake or a fighting chance if at all possible?"
I vote - no run-on sentences.

“The problem is that we do not really have a left party. The Dems are essentially moderate Republicans. The disillusioned "former independents" are sick of voting for what they're promised and getting something else. Those who aren't stupid will vote for independent parties; those who are stupid or simply wishing for something better will vote for the Republicans“.
Bob (I like it!), is fucking lying retard.

@Hunter Biden's tax payer funded Hooker, you have a right to your opinions, and Draco has a right to his. If you want to throw insults, expect to receive insults back. It’s called “free speech.” You can look it up in the US Constitution. I recommend you start at the front of the list.
But if you dish it out, take it. The Althouse blog is a “no whine” zone.
Hunter Biden's tax payer funded Hooker: "I vote - no run-on sentences."
Run-on sentences are much superior to run-on ignorance. See if you can make the switch. We're rooting for you!
Hunter Biden's tax payer funded Hooker: "DRago - you sound hysterical. Not everyone shares your opinions. Get over yourself."
You wisely bailed on substantive commentary when you were blown out of the water with basic facts.
Try to keep up with the others and things will go much more smoothly. And you could also try googling some of these basic realities before getting your dander up and huffing and puffing demanding proof.
EX: You had no idea McConnell's PAC had kicked over $1.5M to the O'Dea campaign when it had been widely reported and discussed.
But then, there's always 10% that never seem to get the word.

The only ones lashing out here are you.
I am calmly pointing out that Desantis is an Oligarch shill.
Let us take a look at some of the Desantis megadonors.
What are their goals?
He has given nearly $60 million to federal Republican candidates and campaigns this election cycle. That puts Griffin behind just liberal billionaire George Soros, who’s given more than $128 million to Democrats, and Richard Uihlein, who aligns himself with far-right candidates and organizations, at about $62 million.
[…] While he’s supporting one of this cycle’s biggest culture warriors in DeSantis, Griffin said most hot-button issues — abortion rights, battles over sex education and LGBTQ rights — don’t define his interests. He wants to improve the diversity of the GOP and blunt the vein of populism that has complicated the party’s relationship with the corporate world — two things he’s consulted with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy about.
Desantis is a corporate shill. He is bought and paid for.
He clearly coordinated with people who knew about the Maralago raid.
At this point I would not vote for Desantis in the general election. I would rather have the democrats take the blame for the globalist corporate crap Desantis would push just like I didn't vote for Romney in 2012.
Desantis gets 62-65 million votes in the General.
Trump gets 75 million votes in the general.
I am happy losing the Romney/Bush wing of the party. We do not need you people.
"As Bob here calls other people stupid, what he fails to realize is that Donald Trump is really and independent and reshaped the GOP as such."
You're right. Donald Trump is independent of any political parties, because he has no core political beliefs. Like all con-men, his only interest is himself, and in aggrandizing his ego and wealth. He doesn't give a shit about his deceived and credulous marks, his MAGA-mites; he just uses them to obtain his wants.
Cookie: "You're right. Donald Trump is independent of any political parties, because he has no core political beliefs. But then again, you're the dime store marxist still pushing 1917 talking points as well, so at least you are consistent....though not, you know, in a good way.
Hey HBTPFH, does the above represent a run-on sentence in your book? I certainly hope not, given the degree to which I now know it flummoxes and distresses you.
The Trump-Humper twins say what?
"I am calmly pointing out that Desantis is an Oligarch shill. "
Campaigns need money to win.
Perhaps Trump can self-fund or get his stash from small donors.
His son in law if really wealthy.
Good news about Trump is he and his loyalists like to crap on everyone... and expect that behavior to expand Trump's voting base.
Clue - it won't.
** corrected
who is this oligarch paying for DeSantis?
Hunter Biden's tax payer funded Hooker: "The Trump-Humper twins say what?"
He provided you the background info to demonstrate what he was talking about re: DeSantis and his backers.
Either you didn't read it (just above) or you did and don't understand it.
Which explains why you seem so completely oblivious to so many basic things happening around you. At this point in your life, I'm assuming that pattern is irreversible.
As to insults and insulting people, Big Mike laid it out for you just above as well (again, you either missed it, again, or simply don't understand it), so I'll repost it here for your benefit:
Big Mike (to the very whiny HBTPFH): "@Hunter Biden's tax payer funded Hooker, you have a right to your opinions, and Draco has a right to his. Get that HBTPFH? Stop whining. It's getting really embarrassing.
Better yet, address the fundamental question that you've been avoiding now for quite some time, though its been raised repeatedly:
How will it possible to get the "same policies with DeSantis that Trump gave us" but "without Trump" when the people and money lining up strongly behind DeSantis are the very people and big money types that opposed all of Trump's major economic initiatives and policies, in particular with regard to ChiCom economic engagement and America First economics?
Not that I expect an answer. You'll probably just crawl back to your corner and cry that everyone is insulting you.
Hunter Biden's tax payer funded Hooker: "Good news about Trump is he and his loyalists like to crap on everyone... and expect that behavior will expand his Trump's voting base."
Remember, this HBTPFH buffoon was praising Senate candidate O'Dea for attacking Trump on a potential 2024 presidential run in the very beginning of a Colorado Senate race!
LOL
I never praised O'Dea - I merely stated it was a strategy. I also stated that I was unclear if it would work. I also stated that he has an uphill battle to win in a blue state.

Since the link was too complicated for HBTPFH, the name is Ken Griffin, Citadel Investments CEO.
And he's not the only big Wall Street/Hedge Fund/Globalist dude lining up to strongly support DeSantis....after opposing much of Trump's policies on immigration, populist approach to DC, etc.
BTW, Jeb Bush is all charged up about DeSantis as well!

Whatever I have ever said about Trump is and will always be operable.
