I stopped off on the way home from work this afternoon and voted early. Straight R on every partisan race. I did my part to be a drop of water in the tsunami.

Did you know that there is going to be a "blood moon" total lunar eclipse in the pre-dawn hours of Election Day? How is that for an omen!

The second pic is eye-popping. The reflection of the sun off the waves—but only along a pencil-thin track— is IMHO unprecedented. It looks like a glitch in the digital file of the image but it isn’t; it’s just a stack of little ingots of pure light.

So.....I filled out my ballot, and voted against Senator Patty Murray.

Suddenly, it dawned on me. Has anyone ever seen Joe Biden, and Patty Murray in the same place, and at the same time??

Peter McCullough stripped of medical license and more for not adhering to fatalist covid death protocols and jab propaganda..
How did that joker get to be one of the most published researchers and head of various medical organizations.
Clearly he's making waves just to cash in..somehow.
Althouse not interested...until NYT comments.
Let's talk some Tik Tok! (some people love them)

But maybe St. Elon (and panel) will reinstate McCullough's Twitter.
That will help his patients immensely.

There is no Saint Elon nor a Twitter panel, but, never mind, reinstating a false tweet about Covid vaccines can never help an ex-doctor's former patients in any way.

Did you know that Biden had to issue a waiver because under US law, we were forbidden to arm Azov due to the fact that they are Neo-nazis? The more you know.

BTW Rebel, you can stop pasting at the question mark, everything else is just tracking

Yesterday the air temperature was in the low 30's and the pond was a steaming 56F. The Misty morning glass and crystal clear water bites your face with a relentless sting that morphs into an ice cream headache. I have to swim slow to stay near to the young guy crazy enough to swim with me. It's an honor because he is always of great cheer and enthusiasm despite having two liver transplants and bowel cancer by the time he turned 30. I forgot what he told me, but his autoimmune disease was called, but he will likely need another liver within five years. The swim isn't the tough part. It's walking the half mile through the woods back to our cars in the near freezing air. By the time we arrived at the vehicles we couldn't feel our hands and feet. We agreed that this freezing pain makes you feel truly alive and in the moment. As I fumble with my keys, I sing a little shanty: Well, it's 40 below and I don't give a fuck
Got a heater in my truck and I'm off to the rodeo

This is all you need to know about today and the rest of eternity.

You are not your job, you're not how much money you have in the bank. You are not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You are not your fucking khakis. You are all singing, all dancing crap of the world.

Lest we forget, America's Civil War forever repudiates the notion that there is a constitutional right to insurrection.

As Abraham Lincoln famously wrote in a letter to James C. Conkling: "Among free men, there can be no successful appeal from the ballot to the bullet; and that they who take such an appeal are sure to lose their case, and pay the cost."

Lincoln also stated in his first inaugural address: "It is safe to assert that no government proper, ever had a provision in its organic law for its own termination."

So go vote on Tuesday with the understanding that Americans have long known how to count votes accurately. We are good at the task.

Not a surprise that Paul Pelosi needed surgery to repair a fractured skull, as hammer attacks can be lethal. I don’t normally believe press releases from Nancy Pelosi’s office, but I am going to hope that the one claiming that surgery was successful and The prognosis is for a full recovery is truthful.

Yes, for sure we can count votes accurately. It’s whether we choose to do so that’s the rub.

I think Lincoln was mistaken. Congress or a proper constitutional committee can pass amendments, approved by the states, that legally eliminate federal power over the states or any other thing. They can dissolve the bill of rights or the three branches of government if they can get it passed.

If the South would have won the war, the original union would have been dissolved, without a doubt. The winner always creates its own law.

We bag on Wilson a lot, but Lincoln was the first tyrannical president. We give him a pass because his cause was just, but Booth was right.

Florida’s new election crimes office flags leftwing ballot-harvesting operation in Orlando

left-leaning organizations have been perpetrating a scheme to encourage residents in black neighborhoods to apply for mail-in ballots and to fill out those ballots, which she said have been collected by paid canvassers, and sometimes altered, all in violation of state law.

In an interview with The Washington Times, Ms. Harris said she has video evidence of paid ballot harvesters operating in Orlando neighborhoods in both 2014 and 2017, and that the scheme has been going on for decades, continuing through the 2020 election and the 2022 primary

i suppose there's counting votes, and counting VALID votes?

Isn't it funny how 2 homeless Democrat illegal immigrants did things to Democrats this past week, and both got blamed on the RIGHT?? And they were both WORSE THAN WATERGATE!!!

@gadfly, this being Sunday, you should head over to the nearest church, slither into a pew, and thank the Good Lord that you do not know what a real insurrection looks like.

Tim of VT is always lecturing us about all the “Neo-Nazis” in the Ukraine — usually and specifically talking about the “Azov Battalion” — or is it 2 battalions — who are supposedly the epitome of neo-Nazism. But, even if 100% true (which I doubt), how much is a “battalion”? The answer is about 500 men. Two battalions would be a thousand — or, at most, a couple of thousands. Compare that with the Ukrainian army which now commands probably more than a million men. Azov's thousand doesn't look to big compared with that.

Meanwhile, Tim completely ignores neo-Nazi tendencies in Russia among Russians. (We'll ignore the fact that the infamous Azov's battallion(s) were also at least initially composed of Russian speakers — according to Wikipedia.) The Putin oligarchic Russian state itself in the war against Ukraine that it's pursuing, along with its many cruel tactics both toward the enemy Ukrainian population not to speak of its own people, displays many Nazi-ish tendencies (totally elided by Tim) — but beyond that, there are the actual, unapologetic neo-Nazis in Russia, together with the Russian population's response to them.

Fortunately for us, Kamil Galeev, who has provided many facinating threads about Russia, addresses the issue in this interesting presentation.

Dear Gadfly,
Thank you for your support of the muzzling of doctors who dare question the failed debacle of shitty jabs, denied early treatment and guvmint incentives driving deadly hospital protocols.
Stay well with your accumulated negative efficacy this winter and keep an eye out for atypical arrival of cancer(s). If you wind up in a hospital, ask for the Remdesivir Double with some soothing sedatives for a chaser.
Best.
