The Feds have recovered over 300 classified documents from the Florida estate of former President Donald Trump since he left office, with at least half of the documents recovered during the National Archives’ initial search of Trump’s Palm Beach compound in January of this year.

News of the extent of Trump’s stash of state secrets comes just hours after the former president filed a lawsuit seeking to prevent the Department of Justice from “further review of seized materials.”

Why do you bother? You're not fooling anybody. Better legal minds than yours or ours have looked at this and the NYT is dishonest in its reporting. First, and most obviously, the FBI may (or may not) have confiscated over 300 documents stamped classified, but that says nothing about whether they are classified now or when Trump took them. It's too soon for that claim to be made. If you have an ounce of sense, then I don't have to explain why--you know it's true.

Second, as you probably know (and the NYT surely does if anyone on the masthead reads the Wall Street Journal), the FBI cited the wrong laws in its warrant application. They have made no showing that Trump is not entitled to those documents even if they are classified.

Liberals would make a lot more sense if the world was required to accept only their version of facts and events. Sadly for liberals, it isn't.; 8/23/22, 6:15 AM

Ukraine has done the world a great favor by exposing the Russian military and government for the incompetent, corrupt and vicious organizations both are. I applaud them for it. I spent most of my adult life in the military, including three combat tours in two wars (Vietnam and the Gulf War,) three wars if you count the cold war, and I spent 26 years and eight deployments in that little conflict. I know what our capabilities are and what the Ruskie capability is. I have studied both all my life. As I said in February when Russia unilaterally started this war by invading Ukraine just as they unilaterally starved around 3.5 million Ukrainians during the Holodomor of 1938/39, I always support the country that doesn't mass an army on the border of a neighbor and then invade it, while destroying its cities and infrastructure and killing as many of the civilian population as possible through indiscriminately shelling houses and apartment complexes and shopping centers. Moreover, if we should empty our military stores and strategic reserve in a fight against the reconstitution of the Soviet Union (a laughable prospect,) it would be stores and reserves well spent. Weren't all those Ukrainian Nazis suppose to been crushed by Russian bear six months ago?

Besides, what do you mean by "our" stores and strategic reserve? I thought you had run off to the Basque Country when the going got tough a couple of years ago. What brought you back?; 8/23/22, 9:14 AM
