Look for the 5 planets tomorrow morning, though you will have to be out at least 30 minutes before sunrise to see Mercury easily. All in a line from the eastern horizon- Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn is the highest in the sky. I went out very early this morning to see it, and then went back to bed.

Take binoculars.

Thanks.

I'll try.

It would mean getting out there at quarter to 5!

The top picture is one that can't be reproduced by the Bob Ross Method of dragging the painted shore into the lake with a fan brush! Victory for actual artists who can paint reality in detail!

Dup comment from the Elvis post:
Too Much Beauty (Cretinetti che bello!) is an Italian 1909 comedy film directed and starring André Deed
The portrayed effect on the women is, at the same time, both absurd and believable, as proved by Elvis 50+ years later.
Credit where it is due. Seen at the vile and wondrous BoingBoing.

Read Mollie Hemingway at the Federalist. The Dems are rigging the 2022 elections in large part by using Federal agencies to do the heavy lifting. Not covered in the article is the coming 2nd pandemic (just in time for Nov).

Obama, through Rice, is in control of the Biden Presidency.

Speaking of the skies, it seems that stronger-than-normal solar activity is causing some issues with low-orbit satellites such as the ESA's Swarm. Their orbits, and the ISS's also, are decaying faster than predicted and they have to be sent higher.

I'm setting my alarm for 0515 so I can get a look at the planet train, and enjoy the bit of cool air.

Actually, Uranus and and Neptune are also in the string. It's really quite remarkable.

Watching Gatsby. It’s leaving HBO at the end of the month.

You can see Uranus with binoculars pretty easily (but you have to know exactly where to look), Neptune, no. I didn't know they were in the string, too, though, or I would have mentioned it. Nice to know.

Russell Brand has a wonderful review of Tom Cruise’s Tom Gun. (Not a typo)

I am curious. I've read a few comments on the dissent of Bruen decision that there was no actual legal analysis of the decision but rather used an appeal to morality as the basis for dissenting. Is this a case of an attempt to legislate from the bench?

Did you see the "cheat sheet" they gave to Joe Biden to function?? YOU enter the room. YOU take your seat. The old guy comes with instructions, because he doesn't know where the hell he is, or what the hell he is doing. THIS is a constitution emergency. https://twitter.com/TruePatriot8472/status/1540093203570798592?

BREAKING: The Department of Homeland Security is communicating with Catholic Churches and pregnancy centers, telling them to be prepared for a "Night of Rage" by pro-abortion groups pledging "extreme violence" the night of the Dobbs decision.

Lila Rose
@LilaGraceRose
This is the most coordinated & aggressive domestic terrorism in our nation today. All because extremists are angry that they may not get to kill children in the womb, on demand, without limit. Yet there is virtual silence from @JoeBiden, @SpeakerPelosi & most media groups. Why?

@Yancey Ward,
I can see my anus without binoculars. As long as I have a big mirror. But thanks for the tip.

Sorry. Juvenile, I know. Your comment brought me back to my childhood.

Waited too late for a dark bakground but Jupiter was yuge, Saturn visible, and the Moon, but I didn't see the late ones and went back to bed. I'll try earlier tomorrow.

It was pleasantly cool and dry at that time, though.
