I’m not sure our Republic should continue now that we know Trump threw food against the wall. I’m literally shaking.

And the second and third photos are superb. My back porch faces sunrise over the lake and I rarely get shots of that quality…

I was filling up and overheard guy on other side of pump say "The president doesn't control gas prices." (into phone I then saw)
Reaaaalllly hard not to address that. In hindsight I should have held phone to my ear and gone into a loud rant about all the ways he has effed up energy.

President Trump just hot-wired my car and is doing donuts on my lawn.

What do I do, Liz Cheney?

I'm so afraid...

So the Jan 6 committee committed fraud on the American people today in soliciting testimony about a story about Trump that they knew was false.

Closing in on the committee, yes. The Secret Service agents who were there say that what she said happened never happened.

Anyway else enjoying watching Bret Baier go down the Shep Smith/Chris Wallace rabbit hole?

I expect many more appearances by Jonah Goldberg and Chris Stirewalt (assuming he doesnt die from Tie & Collar-induced asphyxiation) before the inevitable "invitation" to join the "improved" CNN+ Team.

Seen online:

"Donald Trump stared at the bag of microwave popcorn on the desk. His brow furrowed.

"Pop, Pop. Poppity-Pop-Pop-Poppity-Poppity"

Two minutes later Trump opened the bag, pulled out a handful of hot popcorn, and considered his options."

Meanwhile, it looks like we are being treated to a rash of lawlessness by multiple state courts on abortion.

That girl who testified today, and lied, knows she will never be prosecuted. Look at Clapper and Brennan. She wants a TV job and this was her audition. It will be interesting to see if anyone hires her,

How come the democratic side isn’t talking about compromise in the Roe V Wade decision? Is this not a perfect time when we know legislation is going to have to be passed in statehouses all across the country. Come on, let’s see the statesmen, stateswomen and statezir’s come out and make a deal!

After the Hunter Biden laptop reveal, I'm wondering how much foreign aid is nothing more than a kickback.

Suzi Levine was the Washington State Employment Security Director (WS-ESD) under Gov. Jay Inslee.

When COVID struck, the WS Employment Security Department, and Trump, were effectively printing money. Somehow, a couple hundred million of WS-ESD money went to a group in Nigeria called Scattered Canary. Please note the caption under the picture. It explicity creates Jan. 24, 2019 time stamp.

I thought Olympia had been scammed, but when Gov. Inslee failed to fire her. I started thinking that she was collecting kickbacks, and feeding them into Inslee's presidential aspirations.

The Jay Inslee for President officially commenced on March 1, 2019.

As mentioned before, ESD Director Levine was not fired. She was promoted into the Biden administration.

Is a federal employment contract a permanent sinecure with a 6 month vesting? Because she left the job 7 months later.

You know, I have to replace my tin foil hat every 6 months. Maybe I'm getting close to the expiration date.

Trump is still being pursued for expressing treasonable doubt about the elections of '20.

Meanwhile, the country doesn't have a failure of leadership so much as a contest for leader of a failureship.

The following is not so much about direct kickbacks, but international money laundering. Remember, were there not accusations that Obama turned off all the security checks on his donations web site, and there were many international donations.

Trump apparently believed that Secret Service would, at his request, remove the magnetometers so that people could watch his rally without having to give up their weapons. After all, the weapons weren't for him. Wtf

gadfly said...

And here’s the rub for Trump. He has so far been protected by Meadows and Cippolone because they have refused to testify to the committee under claims of executive privilege—that Congress does not have the power to force them to speak about their direct conversations with the president or the actions they may have taken under his direct authority because the executive branch is not subordinate to the legislative branch. But they can testify if they choose. If they do not, they will, in essence, be allowing Hutchinson’s testimony to stand. If they do, and they do not say everything she said was a lie, her testimony will stand and be bolstered by them. And if they testify and say their recollections of the days were different, they will have to report in what way they were different—and will not be able to refuse to answer questions they find uncomfortable.

But if they do remain silent and Hutchinson’s testimony is not somehow rebutted, they can be made to testify if Attorney General Merrick Garland convenes a grand jury on the basis of the revelations of the January 6 committee and subpoenas them. Failure to testify under those conditions will lead to prison time. ~John Podhoretz

And Trump also had a deal with Putin, and Russian prostitutes peed on the guns before they were smuggled into the Capital.

If the committee does not put the driver under oath in a public hearing, even the holdouts are going to know in their hearts that these hearings are a joke.

CNN reports that they are willing to testify.

The J6 committee is illegitimate. It is not configured as specified in the statute that created it. There is no balance of cross examination. The committee is not interested in discovering the whole truth, and should just be ignored outright.

I know that when Progressives lies under oath, they get TV gigs on CNN or MSNBC like Clapper, Brennan, McCabe, and Baker.

I would like to see footage of all the people walking around with weapons like she claimed. It didn't happen. Everything she said was hearsay. She must have played the telephone game a lot when she was younger, because THAT is what happened in court yesterday.

Our civil and criminal litigation system is far from perfect, but there are rules which are designed to try to approach fairness and advance justice.

In litigation, we generally advise our clients to say as little as possible in depositions, because quite literally anything they say will be used against them. If they say something that helps them, the other side isn't going to offer it at trial--only the things that can be made to look or sound bad will be used.

At trial, each side is given the opportunity to present their evidence, and rebut what the other side has put forth. Including explaining stuff taken out of context. Also no hearsay.

The J6 committee has deposed anyone and everyone they can find in daylong inquisitions, and is using whatever snippets of negative material they have gleaned to present their dark fantasy in the most lurid possible light.

And, although they are all lawyers and most certainly know better, they present and allow hearsay upon hearsay against their target.

And not only do they not allow rebuttal, they don't even allow the defendant a lawyer.

And this is what they come up with--hearsay about Trump being angry!

What a sad farce.

Cassidy Blasey Hutchinson testified today with a fantastic tale about President Donald Trump. The committee lapped it up. An plus-size (to be charitable) Donald Trump lunges threw the divider window to seize the steering wheel so he can go to the Capitol! Assaulting Secret Service agents! Wow! WE GOT HIM NOW! HE'S GOING DOWN! You can just see the saliva dripping from their fangs.

Unfortunately for the committee, she was spinning a tale to see how gullible the committee was. The committee reached an 11 on the gullibility meter. Looks like the never verified her story by talking to the Secret Service.

Donald Trump 10, J6 committee -100. Thanks for playing J6C!

Anonymous sources are reporting that the secret service driver of the suv, Bobby Engel, on Jan 6th denies that Trump grabbed him and tried to grab the wheel. Why should anyone believe anonymous sources when the Engel himself can come and testify? The Jan.6th Committee has already stated they welcome his and any other secret service agent’s testimony. Also Engel’s previous testimony corroborates Hutchinson’s testimony regarding grabbing the steering wheel and Engel.

Engel and the SUV driver, an unnamed Secret Service agent, are prepared to testify before the Jan. 6 committee that the president did not lunge at the steering wheel. The Jan. 6 committee and the Secret Service are in discussions about whether one or both men will appear on camera.

Foreign aid? A transfer of wealth from working and middle-class Americans to the corrupt elites of backward countries--with the obvious kick-back opportunities for the connected, here.

Somebody said that many decades ago, and it's no less true today.
