Elon has got religion.
He's showing the one simple trick to social media confirmation bias click bait induced psychopathy.
We're getting soft, I think is the theme.
Now, Jesus Christ: there's a... "Tough Dude."
Too much reliance on social media and staring at screens all day is bad.
Getting out into the real world and interacting with people and nature is better.
Hah! That's a good one.
(Literally, he's just telling people to get off Twitter and go for a walk.)
I still wonder why he refuses to run any attribution to the created graphics he co-opts.
He's got a billion dollars yet refuses to even mention who he stole the graphic from. If it was your photos he was posting without attribution, what would you think?
A tale of an electron that strives to jump the awareness gap.
That’s pretty frikken’ cool.
The content. And Musk.
I think most humans are a poor fit for the constant socialization that is possible with social media. Everyone needs some downtime from interaction. The normal strictures of day to day life used to impose downtime on everyone. People had to go home, or go to work, or just commute somewhere, and they would be alone, or at least with their family where there is generally more ease. Now people can pick up their phone and see what the latest gossip is, or get into an internet argument almost anywhere they are at any waking moment. In particular I have seen numerous people say their lives have improved when they have gotten off Twitter. They are less angry and less anxious. All that needs to be done to accomplish this is overcome one's FOMO.
I think Musk is thinking about his potential employees and Twitter-trapped people in general - They're freaking out: "Are we being out to the ultimate test like Jesus by the possibility of free speech?" And Musk is saying: "All you have to do is just put your phone down for awhile, get out of Twitterverse, go outside." Not much of a test. But maybe for them it is.
He's pointing out our societies need to constantly stir up drama and angst.
IDK. Utterly mystified.
At my bro's house the other day, along with a couple of friends of his. They were all down on Musk at the moment, because he was "jacking Twitter around." Why that was a bad thing is as much a mystery to me as the meaning and import of this memefight.
I was about to comment that Spellcheck was OK with "memefight" but then it objected.
I'm claiming priority.
He's pointing out that there's a real world out there, and it's more important than the online world.
This is because Musk actually accomplishes things
Twitter employees? And management???
“If it was your photos he was posting without attribution, what would you think?“
“Cool!” Even if it was my drawings. Then I’d wonder why he picked that one.
