This is truly the Best Timeline.
The left sneered at "Drill, baby, drill" and replied that it'd take ten years for new drilling to produce oil. Well, that was fourteen years ago and we sure could use some of that oil right about now.
I'm curious what line of attack the left will use against Sarah Palin. Her family is a wreck, but then again, the President's son is a crack addict who impregnated a stripper and is possibly looking at a federal indictment. Going after her time as governor would be possible, but the impression I got was that she was generally liked, and any discussion of her resignation is likely to make her sympathetic. Ditto her place on the McCain ticket in 2008.
The left doesn't understand that part of the reason many on the right backed Trump is that they remembered her treatment by McCain and the GOP establishment, and how Palin was hounded out of office by bullshit lawfare with the quiet support of the Alaskan GOP.
Remember, when anybody talks about 'treatment of women', remember how they treated Palin and her family.

So Alaska. I'm cracking up. The Emil Notti candidacy is tempting. Defeated by Young 49 years ago and, at 89, throwing his hat in again.
I always voted against Young on principle. No one should serve that long, and it was always a spit into the wind. He had everyone firmly in his pocket. If I still lived there I'd take a good look at Tara Sweeney. She's Native, which is an important and powerful constituency in the state, and she served in the Trump admin.
