It is a sad sign of our lawless times that we need police in schools. But having read teachers’ reports of schools without the discipline reinforced by police, it is reckless and dangerous not to use police in schools that need them. It’s the better of two bad choices.
"Muldrow’s long-term plans include expanding access for students to dual-language programs, making sure students are prepared to vote — with a driver’s license — once they turn 18, as well as making the arts part of the core curriculum at the elementary level."
In Jr High, part of health class was taught by an LAPD patrol cop. He had us do traffic stop and domestic intervention role playing. That's where I learned that when you get pulled over, place the heal of your hands on top of the steering wheel and spread out your fingers.
The Wisconsin State Journal put all its marbles, a few jacks, and three baseball cards in endorsing “Newcomer Laura Simkin, who distinguished herself from her opponent as a supporter of police in schools,” in the words of its page-one story this morning. We warned editorial page editor Scott Milfred that Ms. Simkin was softer than banana pudding. The page-one story continues:
But Simkin said Tuesday night she didn’t think reinstating school resource officers would be broached by the board in the near future. Instead, she plans to spend some time looking into … [blah, blah, blah]. https://davidblaska.com/2022/04/06/no-regrets/

Sign of our times? We had a cop in our high school...I graduated in 1975. And my high school was in Arlington Hts, IL...an almost all white, low crime NW suburb of Chicago. Of course, they're main focus was drugs, not violence.
It is a rare day in Miami that the local news outlets don't cellphone video of a violent brawl among students at school. They wedge it in after their breathless coverage of the Oscars, Emmys and show promos for their network.
The idea that the public schools can be saved is absurd. They are criminal factories run by perverts. You might be able to get the perverts to temporarily pretend they have stopped being perverts. You aren't going to get them to actually stop.
Remember, the public schools are run by people with PhDs in Education. That's like having a PhD in chewing bubble gum. It proves beyond any doubt that you have dedicated your real but limited mental abilities to living without working while not actually going to prison for your crimes. They are not going to give up their grift. They have to be defunded.
In other Madison news, two citizens shot a guy as he was getting out of jail, then crashed into another vehicle while making their getaway. The perps, no doubt graduates with honors of a high school in Madison, are named Demone Marshawn Cummins and Amond Deshawn Galtney. No pictures of those gentlemen in the Star Tribune.
If schools could expel students who are a danger to the other students, then we wouldn’t need police in schools. It would probably be better for everyone if those students were sent to trade schools.
I thought the addition of Mr Blaska to the School Board would be interesting, as the Board as an entity could certainly use some diversity of thought. Oh well. My kids have escaped from MMSD.

Shocking that parents would want their kids sheltered from violence AND leftwing sexual groomers.

Too bad Blaska wasn't elected as well. Still, a little change is better than none.

So the fat girl beat the transsexual.
Good for you, Madison.

I just dropped in to see what condition my district was in.

Pictures of the perps along with their facial tats, the perps being the said Demone Marshawn Cummins and Amond Deshawn Galtney, can be found here,

It's a sad indicator of the health of our society that it's newsworthy that someone who supports the police was elected to office.

Don't really need pictures and, as a bonus, the space can be used to report another shooting that would otherwise be overlooked.
