I watch TikTok for you — and here are my 9 new selections.

1. An accurate miniature of a heavily graffiti'd ice storage box.

2. The way someone talks when he wants to get you to volunteer to wall-mount his TV.

3. The charitable work of detangling someone's hair.

4. A cat sings the blues.

5. Reacting to the news that someone's tested positive for Covid — in 2020 and in 2022.

6. Seeing if the dog likes celery.

7. A quick animation of Joe Biden, telling about when he was a little boy.

8. Discovering just how introverted you are.

9. A famous fractal — the Sierpinski triangle.

I mean- what’s the point?

Man, those TT's really kill a tethered internet source.

Number 9 is interesting, but the TikToker fails to point out the other silent point about fractals besides the simplicity, the infinite scalability. In this case, each of those open triangles defines the edges of another Sierpinki triangle, and so on, as far up and down as you wish.

It's these two characteristics that make fractal structures so ubiquitous in nature and have done as far back in time as we can measure. For example, the oldest genus of multi-cellular prokaryotic life known from a fossil, Charnia grew according to the Barnsley fern formula.

Captured the Biden lethargy well.

I gave a ride to the airport to a guy from Mass. As soon as I heard that accent, I knew instantly where he was from, we had a blast.

He called his son in law, whom, coincidently, was also like me, born in the DR. That was a little awkward, at first, so i started speaking Spanish.

I've gotten a lot better at listening to people while maintaining attention to the GPS.

Listening, really listening, is key to freedom of expression, so says Jordan Peterson. He infers (my interpretation) that people who want to ban speech, fear free speech because they feel themselves unheard.

That hair one! Bless that woman.

Madison Man, you completely stole my lines lol. Yes, bless the stylist who untangled that 13 year old, vulnerable girl's hair. My hair was exactly like that---fine, a lot of it, and easily tangled. I was a tomboy with no patience to brush my hair every day and the tangles could be horrific. I still remember the kindness of my aunt, who would patiently untangle it for me each evening while we watched TV. In fact, I'm going to tell her that next time I see her---it's been over two years due to the Commie Crud.

Ahh- I missed the hair one. That’s an awesome gift to give- the gift of self.

Lem- I listened to a shorter listening lesson from Peterson last night, too!!
I don’t mind listening to his “lectures” more than once, either. In case I missed something. I like listening to people- except Bernie. I can’t see the point to that.

"That hair one! Bless that woman."

Yeah, that made me cry.

I've watched other TikTok videos with people who perform that kind of salon-adjacent charity work. Sometimes it's tangled hair or it might be severely unwashed hair or horribly overgrown toenails. The people who do that specialize in being completely patient, kind, and nonjudgmental. They are teaching us kindness and they are demonstrating going beyond the base instinct of revulsion. It's really inspiring.

I've also seen videos of people who clean houses that were in terrible disarray. The resident isn't even there, but the cleaner behaves with great professionalism and effectiveness and puts the place in order. I like that!

This is the first time I clicked on your tik tok links. The hair one was very touching. Thanks

"Amazingly, although the points are drawn in a random manner, the Sierpinski triangle will always materialize after enough points are drawn."

Because. "Because" the points are drawn in a random manner.
