Holy Cow!!! The old profile has returned!!

I liked the photo where the hat obscured half your face. It's a femme fatale promotional photo for a Philip Marlowe detective flick.

If you can't tell what a woman is, how can you tell what the law is?

I see the Wisconsin supreme court has six women and one guy. Does that mean that women have colonized the court and are diminishing the rights of men? Men voted for them but is that due to Stockholm syndrome? Is the US Supreme court liberating the men of Wisconsin, in the redistricting decision? Lets have a brandy old fashioned and see.

No matter how much sunscreen you've put on, you probably needed to put on more. Found this out after yesterday's spring training baseball game.

When someone answers the question, “can you define what a woman is?”, with “I can’t, I’m not a biologist”, I would hope the next question would be, “So you think it’s a matter of biology, right?”

The walls on our house started going up today. The exterior walls for the living space are up and tacked into place. The roof trusses are due to arrive on Friday.

They had to go to Kavanaugh's yearbook to find something salacious.

I believe that Judge Jackson has been bitten by the Zeitgeist.

A little geopolitical-strategery talk before I go.

The question that Putin has now tossed into the world's in-tray is just this: given what we have seen in the last month, is it in my/our interest to have a more powerful Putin and Russia?

Some have answered yes, others no. I suspect that over time the no's will dominate.

IMO Putin has over-stepped (see what I did there?) but there's still time for him and others to make more mistakes and cause more death and destruction.

Sweet dreams, y'all.

Ex Governor of Missouri Eric Greitens, forced to resign with allegations sexual misconduct and campaign laws, has been cleared of all allegations. The allegations originated with a Democrat operative, and pursued by a Soros prosecutor. Former FBI agent Tisaby has plead guilty to tampering with evidence in the investigation.
Gov. Greitens was a Republican outsider getting close to the grift lining the pockets of politicians on both sides of the isle.

Sounds familiar, yes?

The commentariat has treated this as a politically correct evasion and an attempt to stay in the good graces of prog activists. But strictly speaking, shouldn't the trans crowd actually take offense at the politically incorrect notion that gender assignment is a matter of biology? Or is the evasion itself a sufficiently clear signal that KBJ will do anything to please her prog comrades?

Comment: I don't know what a woman is, I'm not a Biologist

Comment: I am proud to be the first African American woman to be a Supreme Court nominee.

Objection. Asserting facts not in evidence.

Point 1: So I guess she might NOT be the first AA woman on SCOTUS.

Point 2: Biology is the conservative argument. The left says biology does NOT determine sex.

Conclusion, the left is irrational, and cannot come up with a coherent answer to anything other than "does my answer comport with the unruly grievance crowd?" Or course, they can't say that part out loud.

And THIS is what they want as the basis for decisions that will affect the entire country for generations? Thanks Stare Decisis.

Bonus question. Should she recuse herself from any questions related to gender or life since she is unqualified to understand the very terms on which her decisions would be based?

A question seems to be, what should we do if Putin pops a nuke on Ukraine. I would set up an equivalent volume of conventional explosives aimed at Russian troop and logistics centers and openly say that we will not automatically respond with nuclear ordinance, but we will retaliate against Russia conventionally proportionally to total casualties from the nuclear event.

They need some deterrence. Allowing nuclear blackmail is the worst of all responses. Of ALL responses.

“ When someone answers the question, “can you define what a woman is?”, with “I can’t, I’m not a biologist”, I would hope the next question would be, “So you think it’s a matter of biology, right?”

And the question right after that should be: Is this the wrong time to discuss the legal concept of standing?

I can understand why she dodged the question, but shouldn't a Supreme Court Justice be a more artful dodger when it comes to dodging such questions?....The one nightly news show I saw didn't feature this klutzy answer. They presented her instead as someone who responded patiently to hectoring questions.....She seems a decent enough person, and I'm sure she'll get confirmed, but all this fulsome praise for her character and intellect is overdone. It's the media coverage of her that really rankles....At what point did Catholics stop believing that the Catholic hierarchy were the right people to investigate pedophile priests. At what point will the American public stop believing that the msm journalists are the right people to fairly report on contretemps between Democrats and Republicans.

So innocents are somehow "forced to resign" these days and an investigator who once-upon-a-time worked for the FBI pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges after a special prosecutor inquiry but is serving no jail time. All this because of a stubborn Soros Prosecuting Attorney. Is Soros the name of a county in Missouri?

Ketanji Onyika Brown Jackson is bewildered by the "Can you define what a woman is" question. Having been exposed (????) to her child pedophile sentencing decisions, maybe the aforementioned judge struggles to define what a child is.

Judge KBJ on a Black Hebrew Israelite case: "This case involved a small community, a cultural community of people who believe in vegan lifestyles. They call themselves African Hebrew Israelites, but it's not a religious community, it's a cultural community around healthy living."

They are also a community of instigators. Remember how they harassed Nick Sandmann and the other high school kids in DC?? Remember the manifesto they found on one, when they shot up Jews in Jersey City??

KBJ SHOULD NOT be put on the Supreme Court holding these radical views.

Gadfly, what do these people have in common
Speaker of the House Tom Delay
Governor Sarah Palin,
Senator Ted Stevens.
Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson
President Donald J Trump
Representative Devin Nunes
Lt. General Micheal Flynn
Representative Madison Cawthorn

All falsely accused, and most prosecuted,at least one convicted and later cleared of all allegations, for crimes that never happened.
You could add John Ryan to the list. He was running against a cypher by the name of Obama, for a US Senate seat representing the state of Illinois. But somehow sealed court documents found their way into the public domain. Just a coincidence.

It is the way of Democrats to win by 'whatever it takes'. Because they lose at the ballot box.

Narr, sorry, but Josephbleau answered the real question in the in-box, "If you say Putin needs to go, what are you going to do about?" My radical answer is we should have done what Josephbleau suggests as a response to a Russian tactical nuke in response to the Russian build-up. What Biden and the rest of the clown car have done is prove conclusively that the *only* way to guarantee your country's territorial integrity in the face of a nuclear-capable aggressor is to be nuclear-capable yourself.

A good SCOTUS nominee, should have solidified a set of core guiding values so that questions like this require no more thought than polite dinner conversation.
That KBJ has no answers, tells me she is shallow and unknowing about the her existence and purpose. These are core value responses. So we can see that void in her. She is terrified to answer, because as a lawyer at the pinnacle of her career, knows she cannot answer a question...and defend answer/position.
Yep. that is sum and substance of the Best of Best, offered by Democrats.

It's a stick-built house. We signed a contract with Adair in September 2019 and finally got the financing in place in October 2021. So, they've had five/six months to order all the lumber.

The biggest hold up for construction has been the concrete workers' strike. We got concrete from outside of King County, from Snohomish County. It's about a 45-minute drive to the Snohomish concrete depots instead of a 10 minute drive to a nearby depot.

Look at tokulacres.com for pictures. I've been trying to upload a short video of a wall being stood up, but the upload fails every time.

Josephbleau, Christopher B-- nukes are a threshold that will change everything more profoundly than the invasion itself.

IMO nukes are not good at nuance, and distinctions that are clear to the average Althouser will be lost in the clouds.
