It seems rh doesn't quite understand what constitutes a "show trial". For the record, a show trial is a public trial in which the judicial authorities have already determined the guilt or innocence of the defendant.

There have been many shows about this trial, and many more long before "Juicy" was ever charged by the Chicago PD. The only show trials in this country are conducted by entities like CNN, NBC, NYT, and MSNBC that accused and convicted people like me of the heinous crime of preferring Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton.

I was aware of Smollet's allegations, but I didn't pay much attention to it. To the best I can remember, I probably accepted his claims as probably true at first, as, why would someone make up such a story? Once the cracks started showing and discrepancies in his story were revealed, I had no difficulty in changing my opinion and concluding he had probably staged the event for his own purposes.

I don't deny that many accepted Smollet's story, but the claim I take issue with is that the "entirety" of the left, "without exception, bought it." Well, who is that? Is it really true there was "no exception?" How can one know?
