I'm using this as an open forum for comments. Apologize if that's not how it is intended.

I want to know if others feel as I do about this Durham investigation stuff.

It has always been my opinion that the worst things about Nixon-Watergate, and the actions that deserved impeachment and removal from office, had Nixon not resigned, were the actions characterized as "the coverup" -- that President Nixon attempted to use the CIA and the FBI the create false rationales that would excuse the Watergate break-in, and thereby to influence the 1972 election. (This is one point on which people might want to disagree with me.)

But now nearly 50 years on, I read the Durham investigation and indictments as saying that Hillary Clinton (and complicit with the Clinton campaign a bureaucracy under the leadership of President Obama) attempted to use the FBI (and possibly CIA/intelligence) to influence the 2016 election. (This a second post on which people might want to disagree with me.)

So my conclusion is that the Hillary Clinton efforts to use Federal officials to influence the election in her favor ought to be viewed as just as heinous as the actions of Nixon. Yet I don't hear anybody (or hardly anybody) making this point. (Perhaps because Hillary Clinton lost, and there's no point in beating a dead horse.)

According to Twitter it's 'Trans Awareness Week.'

As if it's not forced down our throats 24/7/365.

Throughout modern history (and maybe all of history) the ruling elite have usually considered their views unimpeachable and that those who were different to be somehow inferior. They have used their power and influence to force others to bend to their views and beliefs, often visiting heinous atrocities upon those others when they did not conform. In all cases, future man has looked back and condemned and vilified those who were the ruling elite.

Just remember that, you on the left, as you cheer on the punishment and subjugation of those who resist your efforts.

I am so happy for trans awareness week. Without that I would not have been aware that there were such a thing as trans. Thank you Twitter.

The most significant development of the last day or so in the political sphere is- the commanding general of the Oklahoma National Guard has stated the OKNG will not be complying with federal vaccination orders. The CinC of the OKNG is the governor of Oklahoma, not the POTUS. I suppose Biden could order the entire OKNG federalized, then order the vaccination. But they'll all have to have duties and be paid- by the federal government- during the time they're activated. And IIRC- federalizing any unit of the NG requires permission from- the governor.

I truly imagine no federal judge would want to wade into that quagmire.

The headline "N.J. pharma giant Johnson & Johnson will
split into 2 companies"* begs the obvious question.

Will the two companies be named "Johnson" and "Johnson"?

Yes, it’s because Hillary lost. She was not president when she encouraged the corruption of our intelligence/security system and has no position to resign or be impeached from. The real wrongdoing is within the FBI. That is where the investigation should focus, and those are the people who belong in jail. (Hillary belongs in jail too, but for other reasons.)

On Durham, my only thought is, Geez man, could you have worked a little faster? I get that an investigation shouldn't be timed to political considerations, but c'mon.

@Gospace, I agree, that is the most consequential news of the day. It's basically a modern version of the nullification crisis of the 1830's, except in this case the state has a far more substantive legal basis. I hope it becomes a precedent. Governors in unison: "Let's go, Brandon!"

Who is Britney Spears? What is point spread? Why is so much white stuff coming out of pork chops these days? How many trillion-dollar plans have been passed since Covid began? (exclude BBB) Does the Metaverse know when you are ignoring a check engine light? Why do leaves finish falling off trees just after you finish raking?

They are worse, Biden too. Except she has press cover, like Biden, which is the equivalent of Air Superiority. The press hated Nixon, probably for ending the Viet Nam war.

ASHLEYGATE: Man, if it turns out DOJ didn't have a good predicate for the search warrant, and it was under pressure from Biden WH, this could be a presidency-crippling scandal no? Except NYT desperately doesn't want Veritas to be a news outfit like them - Mickey Kaus
