No one will know
If you don't want to let 'em know
No one will know
'Less it's you that might tell 'em so
Call and they'll come to you
Covered with dew
Vegetables dream
Of responding to you
Standing there
Shiny & proud by your side
Holding your hand
While the neighbors decide
Why is a vegetable
Something to hide?

Call any vegetable
Pick up your phone
Think of a vegetable
Lonely at home

Call any vegetable
And the chances are good
That a vegetable will respond to you

Roasted root vegetables are great. Especially good out of your own garden.

That looks like a gigantic spider.

Edible and audible oddities. Beautifully odd. The photo/song combo really made my morning - thanks!

The dark root vegetables on the right brought back an old memory: Back in 1979, Tony Hendra and some of the National Lampoon guys published a parody book about the upcoming decade, The 80s: A Look Back at the Tumultuous Decade 1980-1989. It was hilarious. One part of the book was about the Oil Glut, a point in the decade where petroleum was so ridiculously plentiful that it was used to make artificial food, including black vegetables that were called Crudities. That's what those look like.

It's healthy to get back to your roots.

Quale, don’t forget the intro to the song: “This is a song about vegetables, they keep ya regular/They’re real good for you.”

That song was the first thing I thought of...it's an odd song but very catchy.

Saw Brian Wilson and some of the Beach Boys at the Sydney Opera House five or six years ago.

He can barely move these days, but his music is really incredible.

I think he's an 'actual' genius...

How many of those are sexual organs.

Weird that both Brian Wilson and Frank Zappa were recording odes to vegetables in 1967, projecting human emotions on them. Personally, I have never found any vegetable engaging; they seem to simply persist in their state.

The leaves look more appealing.
