"Do you think that General Patton was woke? I don't think he was too woke. I think he was the exact opposite. You know what woke means? It means you're a loser. Everything woke turns to shit."

Said Trump at his rally in Alabama last night. That got a huge cheer from the crowd.

Interesting to compare the ribbons on George Patton’s chest with the fruit salad on Mark Milley’s chest. Patton had 27 ribbons, 13 representing decorations awarded from the United States (two posthumously) and 14 from decorations awarded by foreign governments. Milley has 21, all but one from the US government. Obviously the US military regards Milley much more highly than it ever regarded Patton.

The corporate elites tried to use their control of capital to take over culture.

Through HR departments the Corporates tried to use critical race theory and gay/transgender LGBTIA+... to inject racism and tribal division back into culture.

They are using the Universities and control of the Educational system to divide us along as many lines as they can.

The goal has always been division.

Our country's founding is the opposite of this. The left is going to be defeated.

Nobody wants what they are trying to force on us.

You might want to be careful about promoting that fund so publicly. There are quite a few lefties/LLR-lefties at Althouse who will report you to Google, the FBI and whichever Islamist Supremacist group would be the most effective in hunting down the Nazarene Fund workers.

Not to mention the DOJ/FBI/NSA, after scanning all your communications for the last 10 years as well as any of your family members over that same time period, might come after you with an accusation of you acting as a "Foreign Agent" in violation of FARA rules if they determine you vote republican and any of those funds are sent overseas.

About Trump referring to Patton; it is of course reminiscent of Trump's having invoked the name of General John J. Pershing.

It was Trump who repeatedly told stump-speech stories about General Pershing (commanding forces in the Philippines during the Moro Rebellion) purportedly ordering that Muslim prisoners be lined up, and for American armed forces to execute them in a firing squad with bullets that had been dipped in pigs' blood as an ultimate religious/cultural violation of those prisoners. In Trump's telling, they would let one of the prisoners go, as a witness to others in the Muslim community.

Trump loved the story so much that he told it repeatedly and animatedly. There's lots of video.

And it was a false story. But more than being just false, it was one of those things where Trump, in his eagerness to display the personal toughness that was otherwise absent from his life, went overboard in ways that he didn't even understand.

For Pershing to have ordered such an atrocity, it would have been a war crime. There is no record of Pershing having been involved in any such atrocity (not claiming that US military have never committed atrocities), and historians examined it closely before and after Trump tried to use the fiction for his own campaign appearances.

Donald Trump is just dumb. Psychologists calculate the IQ of people nowadays by first calculating a person’s mental age, which is the age at which a person is performing intellectually. Then they compare the mental age of that person to the actual chronological age, which results in an the intelligence quotient (IQ) as adjusted for age. A simple way to calculate IQ is by using the following formula:

IQ = mental age ÷ chronological age × 100.

Thus a 10-year-old child who does as well as the average 10-year-old child has an IQ of 100 (10 ÷ 10 × 100), whereas an 8-year-old child who does as well as the average 10-year-old child would have an IQ of 125 (10 ÷ 8 × 100). Most modern intelligence tests are based the relative position of a person’s score among people of the same age, rather than on the basis of this formula, but the idea of an intelligence “ratio” or “quotient” provides a good description of the score’s meaning.

Intelligence changes with age. A 3-year-old who could accurately multiply 183 by 39 would certainly be intelligent, but a 25-year-old who could not do so would be seen as unintelligent.

On a Howard Stern show in 2006 at age 60, Donald Trump could not correctly multiply 17 x 6, first answering "eleven twelve" then changing to "one twelve" instead of correctly responding "102" after several guesses.

So if Donald's mental age is 10 (picked because he certainly should have learned or memorized his multiplications by that age) and his chronological age was then 60, his age-adjusted IQ equaled (10 divided by 60 times 100) a whopping 17 and it all goes downhill from there.

It's worse.

Patton has 2 DSCs (2nd only to the MoH). It is said that you get the DSC instead of the MoH if somebody doesn't like you.

1 DSC was for actual, no shit, heroism as the leader of our 1st Tank Brigade in WWI. The other was as a General in North Africa in 43.

Patton has 2 Silver Stars, again 1 for valor in WW1

Patton has 1 Bronze Star from a period where they were only awarded for valor. In his case likely from WW2 for standing somewhere nasty...

Patton has a Purple Heart

Milley has 4 Bronze Stars, none with the V for Valor. These days you can get a "participation" BS for showing up. Called a Bronze Star for Service, rather than Valor

“ madAsHell said...I've never seen a President at rallies, or making public comments after their term. It undermines the current President.”

But then, those better behaved former Presidents didn’t have their reelection bid stolen from them very openly and blatantly, when the election officials in those 5-6 Dem controlled inner cities, almost in Union, threw out the Republican poll watchers, carted in truckloads of bogus ballots, and counted them over again, until they were able to add enough votes to Biden’s total to put him ahead, and keep him there. It was blatant. It was egregious. And it is why Biden is in the White House, and people are dying in Afghanistan, and streaming over our souther border.

Think of the absurdity. Trump played by the rules. The Democrats didn’t. He wanted to March the FBI in and arrest the poll workers who had been video recorded running the Illegal ballots through the counter multiple time. Nope. The FBI was busy setting up their 1/6 “insurrection”. Courts all the way up to the Supreme Court told him, and his supporters, “shut up, we don’t need any stinking evidence”. He was told to meekly accept having had the election stolen from him. And now he is being told to shut up and don’t criticize the performance of the guy who stole the Presidency from him. Nope. Doesn’t work that way. If you want Trump and his supporters to play nice, then don’t steal elections, and tell your opponent to shut up and take it.

And, to the leftists here - don’t bother protesting, and pretending that the election wasn’t stolen. We know better. Pretending that it didn’t happen just makes you look delusional.

Hopefully not too far off topic. Speaking of Americans making a difference in refugee situations when WWI started in August 1914 seventy thousand of Americans were trapped in Europe and England. They not only could not get home, many had no money to even feed themselves since banks were not accepting anything but gold and silver.

"The first of his [Herbert Hoover’s, as a private citizen] war calls to service came just as he was preparing to return to America from London where he had brought his family from California to spend the school vacation of 1914. Their return passage was engaged for the middle of August. But the war came on, and with it his first relief undertaking. It was only the trivial matter--trivial in comparison with his later undertakings--of helping seventy thousand American travelers, stranded at the outbreak of the war, to get home.

These people, rich and poor alike, found themselves penniless and helpless because of the sudden moratorium. Letters of credit, travelers' checks, drafts, all were mere printed paper. They needed real money, hotel rooms, steamer passages, and advice. And there was nobody in London, not even the benevolent and most willing but in this respect powerless American ambassador who could help them. At least there seemed none until Hoover transferred the "relief" which had automatically congested about his private offices in the "city" during the first two days to larger headquarters in the Hotel Savoy.

He gathered together all his available money and that of American friends and opened a unique bank which had no depositors and took in no money, but continuously gave it out against personal checks signed by unknown but American-looking people on unknown banks in Walla Walla and Fresno and Grand Rapids and Dubuque and Emporia and New Bedford. And he found rooms in hotels and passage on steamers, first-class, second-class or steerage, as happened to be possible. Now on all these checks and promises to pay, just $250 failed to be realized by the man who took a risk on American honesty to the extent of several hundred thousand dollars."

That passage is from Vernon Kellogg's bio of Herbert Hoover. It is a great read but ends in about 1920. Kellogg was Hoover's chief of staff/right hand man during his efforts to bring food relief to a starving Europe (Esp Belgium). First as a private citizen, then, when Wilson got us into the war as head of America's official relief program. Hoover probably saved 20 million European civilians from starvation. He was a true American hero and gets way too little credit for this or for helping thousands get home in 1914.

Yes, the same Herbert Hoover who later became president. Note that, until US entry in the war in 1917, it was all private money and private effort.

It is common for the most personally accomplished officers to do that....and you will notice that NONE of this generations flag officers do that.

Had we not gotten into WWI, there probably would not have been any WWII and another 400m+ Americans would not have died there.

Had WWII happened anyway, and had Donald Trump been elected in 1936, or even 1940, we never would have gotten involved in it. We had absolutely no business in either war. We elected 2 Democrat presidents who SPECIFCALLY PROMISED if elected to keep us out of both wars while secretly doing everything possible to drag us into them. We also later elected a Democrat president who SPECIFICALLY PROMISED if elected to keep us out of Vietnam, too.

Actually, it wouldn't have been terribly hard. There would have been twin swords of Damocles hanging over Germany then- communist revolution or a flood of American soldiers. Conversely, merely the suggestion that America would let the war continue to stalemate would terrify the English and French back to the table. Woodrow Wilson tried to reshape Europe instead of guide it to peace- well, I say he did. It was mostly Edith Wilson for a while back there, and his project collapsed in flames shortly thereafter.

As for smoothbrain pederasts trying to whitewash Pershing just to score points on Trump, it is to laugh. The primary reason I disbelieve Trump's story is the claim of Americans letting a few rebels live. Torture, massacres, concentration camps, and looting were not just prevalent, but usually considered meritorious- at least within the theatre. At home, virtue signaling in the media was considered sufficient to cover up the grotesque (and effective) conduct that crushed the Moro Rebellion.

Chris Lopes,

Read what the US was doing to Japan for the 2-3 years prior to Pearl Harbor.

The Japanese felt that they had no choice but to push back and PH was the result.

One could argue whether or not FDR was consciously trying to push them into declaring war on us. I think he was, others may disagree. But it seems in arguable that they felt pushed into a corner and needed to respond.

I was thinking more of WWI and WWII European edition. There is is much more obvious and well documented what FDR was trying to do. Read his corrspondance with Churchill, for example. See his "Sink on Sight" declaration of German shipping. See his invasion of Iceland. See his gifting of war material to Britain. and so on.

It took a couple of years but he finally pushed Germany hard enough that they had no choice but to declare war on us. Then FDR could go to Congress and say "Mommy, he hit me first!"

The US had no, none, zip, nada, interest in getting involved in WWII and the reason FDR got elected was because the American people fucked up. They trusted him to keep his main campaign promise. No involvement in European war.
