Did the Generals and the Intel community really get taken by surprise?
Or did they fuck Biden for taking their war away and in the process almost guarantee that we'll be going back in?

The Afghani men are so bad, that even Europe (though they learned the lesson too late) doesn’t want anything to do with them anymore.

The population of Afghanistan is less than 50% literate. If brought to the U.S., it will take generations for them to become independent of state aid, if ever. There is no incentive in this country to not take money if it’s being offered for nothing but a wink and a nod to vote for Democrats. People who accept lifetime handouts may be lazy, but they’re certainly not stupid.

And if we do start importing ‘refugees’ by the hundreds of thousands, why not stop off in Port Au Prince and pick up a few tens of thousands more? Their literacy rate is a bit better at 60% and they at least speak a Western language.

But if systemic racism is such a huge issue in America, why would liberals want to import millions of black and brown people into this country, only to be subjected to the horrors inflicted upon them by white people?

We already have an invasion (yes, it’s an invasion) of illegal and unvetted people on our Southern border, all encouraged by the current administration and the DNC. Isn’t that enough?

Last...where are the strong, independent Muslim women in congress? I did hear Ilhan Omar saying we should let in anyone from Afghanistan who wants to come here. Anyone. Why isn’t living under Sharia law in an Islamic state a good thing for the Muslim women of Afghanistan?

Let me know when she denounces her religion and stops using it as a weapon to silence critics, then we can talk.

Another Biden Senior Moment that required immediate retraction:

'In an interview aired by ABC News on Thursday, Biden was asked about the effects of the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan and responses in Chinese media telling Taiwan this showed Washington could not be relied on to come to its defense.

Biden replied that Taiwan, South Korea and NATO were fundamentally different situations to Afghanistan and appeared to lump Taiwan together with countries to which Washington has explicit defense commitments.

"They are ... entities we've made agreements with based on not a civil war they're having on that island or in South Korea, but on an agreement where they have a unity government that, in fact, is trying to keep bad guys from doin' bad things to them," he said.

"We have made - kept every commitment. We made a sacred commitment to Article 5 that if in fact anyone were to invade or take action against our NATO allies, we would respond. Same with Japan, same with South Korea, same with - Taiwan. It's not even comparable to talk about that."

A senior Biden administration official said U.S. "policy with regard to Taiwan has not changed" and analysts said it appeared that Biden had misspoken.'

Meanwhile...

UK lawmakers condemn PM Johnson and U.S. President Biden over Afghanistan

"British lawmakers vented their anger [during an emergency session of parliament]...at Prime Minister Boris Johnson and U.S. President Joe Biden over the collapse of Afghanistan into Taliban hands, calling it a failure of intelligence, leadership and moral duty."

'...Tom Tugendhat, a Conservative lawmaker and chairman of parliament's Foreign Affairs Select Committee who himself served in Afghanistan, told the hushed chamber that he, like other veterans, felt anger and grief.

"I've watched good men go into the earth, taking with them a part of me, and a part of all of us," he said.

"To see (Biden) call into question the courage of men I fought with, to claim that they ran, is shameful. Those who have never fought for the colours they fly should be careful about criticising those who have."'

The White House called a lid at 3:36 this afternoon. Completely unacceptable. If you're not up to the job, step aside.

Stephen Fearby;
I have mentioned Lt. Col. Tugendhat (Conservative - Tonbridge) in a couple of comments pages. His speech in the House of Commons was of course remarkable. Completely scathing. Brilliant, articulate. Drew a standing ovation from parts of both sides of the House.

Brett Baier featured a bit of the speech (not nearly enough) on his FNC program tonight. It was disappointing, insofar as Baier seemed to want to boil it all down to Biden-criticism. They edited the hell out of the speech. When in fact, Tugendhat has been brutally critical of the entire pullout farce, beginning with Trump.

Obama didn't call lids, he smoked them : )

I'll be here all week.

Hey! Come on Man! be fair! HOW is Jo Biden supposed to know what the U.S. policy to Taiwan is?
He's spent his Entire Life in Business, and sometimes he doesn't get the nuances JUST right

What's that? Jo Biden has been in Washington, his ENTIRE LIFE? He's NEVER done ANYTHING else besides getting the nuances?

Well, we should STILL cut him some slack; what with the multible brain damage, and the senility, and the general allaround F*cked Uppedness. I mean, right?
It's not like he's The President, or anything; he's just some bozo from Delaware that likes to fondle little girls

The Dems are f**ked and I would be dancing in the streets if it wasn't for about 40K Afghanis who will suffer greatly because our so-called "commander in chief" is too far gone to even hold a simple press conference without Doctor Jill holding his hand.

If Biden steps aside, Kamala becomes Prez. Which leaves the Senate in a 50/50 tie on all matters - including selecting any VP to be named (Hillary? Really?).

They don't dare kick Biden to the curb until they get their social justice agenda passed - clock is ticking at this point.

I would gladly suffer Hillary if it meant saving those 40,000 Afghanis.

Yeah.....I can't imagine the motivation, but being treated like wait-staff at the White House might have been part of it.

It’s a little surprising to me, too. Even after my having voted for Biden.

But remember, Big Mike; many of us judged “best” in terms of “best suited to beat Trump.”

Or, it's not a sunrise, it's a sunset. And a world is ending.

I remember a famous quote from the months between the assassination of Ferdinand, and the beginning of the Great War: "The lamps are going out all over Europe, we shall not see them lit again in our life-time."

That's what it feels like to me, on a national and global scale.

DJT.

The John Henry scenario continues to develop.

And such people — obviously! — own the results of Biden’s administration, including, in no particular order, the incredible damage to our relationship with Great Britain and the personal offense given by Joe Biden to Prime Minister Boris Johnson; inflation such as we’ve not seen since the days of Jimmy Carter; the chaos in Afghanistan; loss of energy independence; “undocumented immigrants” sick with Coronavirus not only being accepted into the US without being quarantined, but transported by the government to ordinary communities; and more. That’s on you, and that’s on the Democrats.
