Yeah. The problem with the China tweets isn't that the *citizens* will rise up against the government. It's what the government does to the citizens.

Titania is a parody account.

Satire, actually.

By definition, a parody is a comedic commentary about a work, that requires an imitation of the work. Satire, on the other hand, even when it uses a creative work as the vehicle for the message, offers commentary and criticism about the world, not that specific creative work.

Isn't that using the same logic that you leftists use to claim Trump instigated violence?

We never hear much about the guy who tried to assassinate Republican congressmen playing softball. He almost killed Steve Scalise. I guess that "good intentions" are important.

Here's the article:

"For a period of time, the penetration of religious extremism made implementing family planning policy in southern Xinjiang, including Kashgar and Hotan prefectures, particularly difficult, the research center's report said. That had led to rapid population growth in those areas as some extremists incited locals to resist family planning policy, resulting in the prevalence of early marriage and bigamy, and frequent unplanned births.

In the process of eradicating extremism, the minds of Uygur women were emancipated and gender equality and reproductive health were promoted, making them no longer baby-making machines, it said. Women have since been striving to become healthy, confident and independent.

Family planning policies have been fully implemented in the region in accordance with the law, the report said."

No worries, it's all perfectly legal!

We cannot have a free country with a sizable minority of people that have views like this.

They lied about Trump fomenting violence and they use their lies to shut down his speech.

I don't understand why they are moving so fast with their totalitarian instincts, but there it is. In my opinion they have made a huge mistake. They could have boiled the frog and led bubble people like Ann calmly down the path. She so desperately wants calm and order. We all do.

They aren't even making a pretense anymore.

They have openly declared war on freedom.

Are you still neutral Ann? Do you think this is going to lead to "calm?" They are already talking about cattle cars and domestic terrorism bills. Openly talking about it.

Sex politics to rationalize concentration camps. A novel conception.

Progressives tried to rationalize denying civil and human rights with the allegation of a rape... rape-rape culture and to secure Planned Parenthood/selective-child, the shared/delegated alternative to the Communists' one-child policy.

n.n said...

Family planning policies have been fully implemented in the region in accordance with the law, the report said."

There are four choices before the euphemistic "family planning", the wicked solution. One-child was a minority choice. Selective-child is a minority choice normalized by the same government that implemented one-child. Here's to demos dying in darkness, behind a wall, under the pretense of semantic games, a sincere belief through conceptual contortions, and em-pathetic appeals. The Chinese communist regime makes another Great Leap to join the civilized consensus.

daskol said...

Not exactly. They know well enough how to manage the people "brainwashed" by their own propaganda efforts, but that's really the limit of what these old-fashioned crafters and keepers of the narrative can manage. Anybody getting information from other sources, well, that's a problem for them. That's why they look so clumsy with all this banning and unpersoning. Our elites haven't quite wrapped their heads around how the digital age works. So they're escalating a conflict with these moves, but they are very vulnerable to the memelords and shitposters they think they're locking down right now.

daskol said...

The revolution may not start on 4chan, but that's where you can go to learn about it.

Howard said...

Daskol: the elites let the Antifa riots get out of control and almost lost the election because of it.

daskol said...

A couple of months ago, I would have agreed with you, and throughout the summer as the Antifa/BLM destruction amped up and up, I wondered how exactly the folks charge expected to win an election in just a few months after demonstrating such disregard for the very basic duties of leaders.

Then I wised up. You don't have to win elections, they seem to think, if you can control the narrative. And if your conventional narrative control techniques aren't seeming to work as well as they used to (flood the zone with your simple message, repeat), well, the walled garden oligarchs are there to save your ass with some new techniques. That's what we're seeing now, the breakdown of conventional propaganda techniques begets the purges. These old-fashioned analog age elites think this is going to work, and it will all quiet down again soon.

So no, I don't think they almost blew the election, rather they're now operating in a post-election, post-civil liberty mindset. And they're going to get crushed, but between that crushing and now, things are going to be interesting.
