To resort to power makes you vulnerable to greater power.

Rather than make any attempt to persuade or bargain the people who are installing Biden into the presidency took no policy positions or really said anything during the campaign. The people who voted for Biden cannot name a single thing he actually stood for. This is naked power.

Trump was an attempt to make voices heard and get back to some semblance of balance. The powers that be just pulled the pendulum back even farther and galvanized millions of people.

It is not a matter of if. History tells us it is a matter of when.

Corrupt Brussels PM: Right. I've had Bombe's visit postponed for a month. That gives us plenty of time to decide on our position. Next item on the agenda, Hillary Clinton's visit to Brussels.

You know and I know what you know: men, at the margins, are more intelligent than women - that is to say more luminous, more intuitive (yes!), more rational, smarter, more metaphysical. Hence 'at the margins' we produce Heracleitus, Socratese, Ciceroe, Tacicitus, Virgil.... You Produce Sappho, Jane Austin and Mills and Booms. Because your making babies! Nothing wrong with that, someone has to do it - just stop!

I believe in commitment, Anne, so, even though Martina and I were never married - though we'd, a hundred times said, we would be - I suppose she was afraid - not of me, but of a promise she couldn't keep - I always kept to that promise - to the baleful, tragic consequence. Here am I, two thousand miles away, always in love with her and she in a nut house in a post communist country. I suppose, if she hadn't met me and I hadn't filled her with poetry (like a balloon!) she'd be normal and married to what she used to call a Biznusmann! Hence, my guilt, hence my pain. Hence my commitment - I must make amends. I believe in promises. Otherwise we’re nothing!

I would be very happy if Attonasi and a whole lotta other people would stop making veiled threats of insurrection. If nothing else, please follow the advice of Tuco Benedicto Pacífico Juan María Ramírez. Frankly, your empty threats are boring people.

As for Howard, it would be really great if he'd stop trying to goad someone into putting him out of his miserable existence. Sooner or later some neighbor of yours is apt to put a rifle round through your worthless skull because I'm sure you're as miserable to your neighbors as you are to Althouse commentators. And that would be okay, unless the police get the idea that one of us did it. You aren't worth the aggravation of being interrogated for 15 minutes by cops eager to identify someone performing an assisted suicide.

Tired plot point, after hero tied to chair being tortured: college aged daughter of hero is kidnapped. She's an airhead at that age and the audience doesn't see what the father sees in her because there's no development, but it drives the plot anyway. A displaced torture chair.

You keep trying to make it personal.

Deal with the argument.

What are you going to do when people start throwing democrat poll watchers out of polling stations and turnout in republican districts starts hitting 85%?

Are you going to tell them to stop Howard?

Are you going to suddenly care about witness affidavits?

When 1000 mail in ballots appear at 3:30AM in 300 districts across Pennsylvania out in the boonies of deplorable land and all your democrat poll watchers are outside crying about being intimidated and pushed away from the tables what then?

Do you really think you have a leg to stand on right now?

Howard म्हणाले...

Hypothetical Straw-men and rumors of Straw-men are Achilles favorite targets. The legal process is grinding on, Trump has the very best people like nobodies ever seen working on it. I look forward to the conclusion.

Have you recruited many wannabes for your FBI entrapment?

I didn't post a veiled threat of insurrection.

It is a straight line computation the result of everything that is happening now and has been happening for the last 50 years.

Working class voters finally got tired of everything the aristocracy was doing to destroy them and sent a relative unknown to DC on a flier in 2016.

He did more for them than any president in a century.

Democrats spent the last 4 years foisting up multiple ways to overturn the 2016 election that were all proven fraudulent and corrupt.

They sent their Antifa and BLM foot soldiers out to attack and burn and loot for the last several months.

And now they are not even really hiding their theft of an election.

Why did Biden get elected? What was his platform? What positive goals did he set? There is no there there.

All this is doing is fueling the flames.

It doesn't matter what you or I or any of us want. It is a pattern repeated in history over and over and over again.

It only ends one way.

Morning Happiness

Oh, in the heart of Hell - or, a voyeur
Staring at what is impossible – happiness.
Somewhat numb, glad for an unfeeling,
Hoping to make this just a dream – then
I’ll wake up, open the curtains, stare at what was
Once my life. I’ll be tortured by hope,
Begin, again, to say the words “I love you.”

For Anne

Chance Of Blue II

I suppose, to confess, I always wanted
My sky to be blue. With some cloud,
To prefer us to change. A chance
Beautiful. Somewhere in the rocks
Looking towards the shore and knowing there
That family had a picnic and those, at a late hour,
Were rescued from a summer shower.
And because the sun must shine (it must)
There was someone, the children that picked seashells
And wondered and compared and forever were told
“The sea is a dangerous monster.”
And were happy, there were some people, old perhaps,
Sharing their unflasked, metallic tea,
Trying to gather the sun, who said
“I love you.” “I, too, my dear.”
“Isn’t it beautiful?” “My love, it is beautiful.”
“Aren’t we happy?” “Happiness is what we are.”

I am heartily enjoying the afflicteds panic at the fact that our President has not conceded. It is all they care about and their pyrrhic victory has nothing to do with the disaster they wish to foist upon this nation, but only that they still can’t sleep until Trump has exited the stage. It’s actually fun to see these weaklings panic that their nightmare just won’t end. I hope we can keep the dream alive for them.

The psychological bs equivalance - you're not Martina. I'm just not used to respecting women or rather I unlearned it - I was 'unlearned' from it, if that makes sense (it's certainly ugly!) - I 'believed' in something because my mom 'believed' in something - a Utopian bs that wasn't a part of. Punch in the face because you ask a simple question - that was my mum. So drummed (!) into me is this utopian, nihilistic nonsense - I want to escape - where to? - nowhere, for there is no 'where' from which you can escape from.
