Haven't seen anything on this here or on any other blog, but, has anyone pointed out that the Democrats blew an easy opportunity to take the Presidency from a struggling Trump Administration simply by running a competent professional team instead of this freak show duo; Mr. Being There, and Ms. Personality Plus. Talk about a missed opportunity of the ages!
"the Democrats blew an easy opportunity to take the Presidency from a struggling Trump Administration simply by running a competent professional team instead of this freak show duo"
True. The lineup of candidates provided no good choices. Anyone "professional" wasn't really. There are no solid outstanding governors available it seems, and those that attempted it were badly lacking in personality and political skill.
The most "professional" person that attempted it was Bloomberg. He has an actual track record of effective and successful management. But he has pathetic political skills (its clear now that he just bought his New York elections) and he was much too old. But he would probably be doing better in that, at this point, than Biden, no matter his demagogic incapacity. And he has access to all the professional staff anyone could ask for, courtesy of his friends, the principal funders of the Democratic party, the Powers that Be.
Bernie Sanders had the biggest inherent power-base among the public, and has at least some demagogic abilities. The party has repeatedly failed to leverage this, most likely because its funders are leery of him. Its also unlikely that he had a "professional" staff on tap.
The ideal candidate for 2020 would have been a fusion of Sanders and Bloomberg.
The rest were mostly a mass of homunculi with nothing to recommend them other than as a sort of freak show. Compare vs the 2016 Republican candidates who were nearly to a man (one woman) at least plausible as stolid national leaders, the weirdest of them being Trump.
Inslee, Hickenlooper and Bullock all had plausible professional experience as governors but were kicked out early. It would be interesting to explore why that was. In what way did the Powers that Be find them lacking?
The outstanding personality in the lot was Gabbard. Too lacking in executive experience, but she would have made an extremely effective VP candidate, attractive on stage, both in form and speech, very energetic, smarter and vastly better at verbal jousting than Harris. She would draw a crowd on her own. She couldn't raise any money though. Its odd that was so.
Dramatic photo. I imagine there is a massive alien warship hiding behind those clouds.
Sunrise photos here, looking east over the gulf of Maine, are decidedly more pink and blue. The ocean water is dark, biggish waves today, white caps aided by a strong breeze.
Shoe Leather clearly wishes to be Senator again. Give him an honorary/mascot position. He could hang out and socialize, talking shit..stepping in shit. Folks could make sure he doesn't get too lost. I guess women staffers might be at risk.

This is of course exactly what's happened with emotional fragility and meltdowns and "triggering." In the past, more mentally stable people would tell the less mentally-stable/emotionally labile people to stop freaking out, and to start acting like a normal, mentally-healthy person.
Mittens is back attacking Trump. He doesn't like His TONE. You can tell what a FAKE Romney is, what a jealous little girl, because he only takes a few mild jabs at Pelosi. And none at Biden or Schumer. Its all about civility - says Romney - who then calls the President of the USA, a racist, bigot, sexist, etc.
But Mittens is such a GOOD MAN. Why, when he wasn't lying about Amnesty or any number of campaign issues or firing workers while working at his Hedge fund, he went to Church and kept his executive hair in place, and prayed to GOD. His best friend, who told him to impeach Trump.
Damn, every time Pierre Delecto tweets or takes off his mask and talks, I'm glad he LOST in 2012.
Biden, a 78 y/o senile fool, will be our first POTUS elected because the voters are too stupid to care. Put a (R) after his name and they'd hate his guts. But he has (D), so they'll vote for him. judas Priest what a country.

And she has a grown-up-woman voice, not a little-girl voice so pervasive in women today. It was disappointing to hear ACB speak for the first time.

It needs a few saguaro cacti, and possibly a masked rider of the plains with his faithful Indian friend.
Hoo-boy! That's a beauty!

A red state for sure. The Trump show must be coming again soon.

the water is so flat and dark, I could imagine that as shot of the Arizona desert before sunrise.

Nice to see you are keeping up with your project.
Struggling Trump administration? Okay.
Seen on a bumper sticker last week in SoCal of all places:
The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen.

I've always said peer pressure is the driving force behind society.

Feinstein can't keep Roe and gun control separate.
She can join Joe as store greeters.
