The performance of the moderators has been such that it is foolishness to submit to the "narrative" each has pushed. I can't see a town hall being any better because feel that for whatever reason the Commission is going to end up with all Dems asking questions phrased in the same ways that the two moderators have phrased them.
Finally I will insert a sign observation. I live in SE MN which I think tends a bit red. The Trump Pence signs here are an easy 10 to 1 over Biden.

I've seen two Biden/Harris signs, one Biden sign and a hand made Biden/Harris sign. The hand made sign was at the entrance to a park and has since been removed. All of this in Bellevue/Redmond, WA. No Trump signs.
Plenty of Culp (R) for Governor signs, three "Defeat King Inslee" signs (they disappeared), but no Inslee(D) signs. There was a Culp/Inslee debate last night after the Pence/Harris debate. Culp wiped the floor with Inslee.

Why are they making homemade ones? Are the biden campaign folks so lame they can't supply any? I actually have now seen up to 5 different cars with Biden bumper stickers the last week or so. This seems more normal to me in NorCal and yet only 3 very small biden yard signs. That is odd.

I suspect that the designer realized when the poster was at this stage of completion that they were in over their head in terms of the artistic skill needed to pull it off, and decided to leave out the faces, in order not to rub our noses in their lack of ability. Faces are the hardest part.
Odd how others thought that it might be usable in this condition, and that they were so blind to the many unintentional ways it might be interpreted, many of which others above have mentioned.
