"I could've crashed, so I'm recording myself crying, with one hand wiping my nose and my other hand holding my phone while driving to tell you about it."

Would anyone think she’s “a Mexican” if she didn’t go out of her way to say so? Imagine if she identified as “an American”?
So much to unpack, but let me start with: I'm glad she was ok and I'm sorry she was scared and sad.
I'd also hope that she would stop using social media on her phone while driving and also avoid driving while very upset.
Be safe.

PS - I'd be very curious to know what kind of bumper stickers she has on her car?
Ahhh, the wonders of Twitter.
I'd love to see a video of her getting "boxed in" and "laughed at". Somehow I think she went insane on those people, too.
So, what are the numbers? Something like 1 in 10 Americans on anxiety meds? You could have crashed? Life is so hard in this country. Strap in kid you're in for some rough times ahead,
Is she saying that they were doing this because she's Mexican? How would anyone know? She doesn't look Mexican. She doesn't even sound Mexican.
She certainly could be Mexican I'm just saying that there is nothing about her to indicate it.
Hilarious! Made me smile.
Caravan rallies used to be a huge thing here and I used to get stuck in 3-4 every election year. They really pissed me off but I didn't get hysterical (yes, I know the meaning) like this poor child.
She needs to grow up.

why did she not video the rally to prove her points/accusations
'Cause I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is diddlin’ away
That is awesome.
Her twitter feed (https://twitter.com/CharlieBayer8) is not what you'd expect, TBH. Definitely not a twigglypuff gal.
"Human. Female. Formerly Homeless. Advocate. Quora Most Viewed Writer. B.A. Without 1A no other rights matter because you can't speak up when they're violated."
I'd suggest a good dollop of kindness.

Did she post a video of the upsetting incident? Or is it only her feelings about what happened that are important?
No need to get all balled up in the facts or whether her feelings are appropriate or proportional.
That seems to be zeitgeist today.
I wouldn't even have recognized her from SLotAT driving past, looking like that.
And yes, she is more likely to crash driving like she is.
Not a good driver's ed teaching video.
Hysterical, they are always hysterical , geez get a grip lady.
I went to Charlie's twitter feed. It seems she deleted the posted tweet. I don't see it there anymore.
"...pointing at me, a Mexican..."
Mind-reading, the insistence that you actually have the ability to know someone's unspoken reasons, is our society's Achilles Heel.
Wow, nobody has ever been stuck on the 405 before. Except my brother, twice a day.
How about videos of the Trump supporting woman beaten at the "woman's" march in Washington and the black guy attacked at a march in SF, who had his front teeth knocked out. Well, they don't have quite to comedic value.
I wonder if she gets as upset at BLM or Antifa goobers blocking traffic. It's one of their specialties.
Wonder how she would react if she found herself in the center of a "mostly peaceful" BLM/Antifa riot.
Apparently, another example of a "blood bath" that didn't involve water, in terms of actual tears.
I'm guessing she's an aspiring actress?
And she didn't record the incident itself?
I’m confused - If you’re boxed in, how do you crash?
That sucks. Being boxed in in your car is terrifying in general, even more so if the people surrounding you are indicating anything negative towards you. It's only one step away from being surrounded by a mob on a street with them yelling at you.
I don't blame her for crying, or being upset and scared. I assume it was not a relaxed experience. Driving to record your reaction while crying and upset is it's own moment of bad choices, separate from the original event.
Oh my God, they were laughing at her! They were probably laughing at the fact that she almost crashed because she was paying attention to her phone instead of the cars around her.
People are getting yanked out of their cars and beaten at antifa “protests”, but this activist is all freaked out that someone laughed at her. Pathetic
None of those people she is feverishly imagining would touch her. Her confederates on the other hand will flat out kill you.
Looks like her video was removed? Looks like trending on twitter is worse than being stuck on the 405 behind a Trump rally...
...and if she found a good way to 'get around' trafic on the 405, she should keep it to herself..
Kate,
Re mind reading. Exactly. And it’s worse than that. People mind read, and draw a certain conclusion from an unclear (or false) case, and then mentally count that as evidence. So there is a ratchet effect.
You get caught in traffic because of an event that other people are trying to get to. She thinks, in that situation, she ought to be able to get out around it — perhaps by driving on the shoulder. That's not the rule!
Hey, I got an idea!
How about we defund the police and use the money to buy lights and sirens for people who sometimes have to deal with an emotional emergency while behind the wheel.
Wow, how harrowing! The only thing missing from this compelling tale is her having lighter fluid squirted on her and being set alight.
Sorry, that page doesn't exist!
Rules are for little people.
I got stuck behind a Biden rally, but the two people were walking quickly.

I live in California, where the traffic is always awful. I often drive through the Cajon Pass, which is a huge bottleneck for traffic. The assholes that drive on the shoulders and in the turning lane are endemic around here. Another huge problem is red light runners.
Here in California we are busy telling people they don't have to follow the rules. Want to come to the United States illegally? No problem! We'll even protect you from the feds. Want to smoke cannabis? No problem! We'll just ignore federal drug laws. Want to vote illegally? No problem, we'll just register you when you get your driver's license! And we give those out to illegals every day! Want to live on the street? Come on down!
All of LA was boxed in every time Obama showed up for a fund raiser.
Several people said she was driving. I went back to look but as several have mentioned it's been deleted.
My recollection, based on the seat belt was that she was on the passenger side.
Unless it was a British car.
John Henry
Is she a legal or illegal Mexican?
John Henry
I just now read that there was a big Trump caravan in Puerto Rico on Saturday.
I had to find out from Gateway Pundit.
I would have gone if I had known.
John Henry
I've experienced the 405 a few times, and thus I could find no reason to criticize my daughter when she reported fender benders, twice, on that highway over a year's time. Both her hits were from other people deciding her aged but substantial Grand Marquis either wasn't actually there or could somehow displace itself across space-time when they decided to use her location themselves while traffic wasn't moving.
It isn't just the legal rules people don't follow in California, the Laws of Nature herself are flouted by drivers on the 405.
For the San Diego Freeway, that's moving pretty good.
I first saw a parade like the one in the video above in Sturges, South Dakota on Youtube though there've been many since. Here's my rewriting of Marching Through Georgia.
Bring the good old bugle, boys, we'll sing another song
Sing it with a spirit that will start the world along
Sing it as we used to sing it, 500 Harleys strong
While we were marching through Sturges.
Hurrah! Hurrah! we bring the jubilee!
Hurrah! Hurrah! the flag that makes you free!
So we sang in mountains that still were shining free
While we were marching through Sturges.
Yes and there were patriots who wept with joyful tears,
When they saw the flag flying as had been done for years;
Hardly could they be restrained from breaking forth in cheers,
While we were marching through Sturges.
Hurrah! Hurrah! we bring the jubilee!
Hurrah! Hurrah! the flag that makes you free!
So we sang in mountains that still were shining free
While we were marching through Sturges.
John Henry,
The backward facing camera on phones renders a mirror image. She is driving.
Is there anyone in this world who is as old fashioned as I (no Fakebook, no Twitter, no social-shmocial apps) and thus now, in intelligent blogs like this one (been reading it for yrs), more and more frequently CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHAT in God's name the post and comments are talking about?
She should have jumped out and stood in front of the Trump flagged cars. Show them the BLM way.
I live in Orange County, the 405 has a junction with the 55 FWY adjacent to the John Wayne Airport. Trump had a fundraiser in Newport Beach, which is South of the John Wayne Airport where he had landed. His Motorcade used both fwys to reach the NB destination. All arterial roads, including the 405 and the 55, were shut down for a short period while the motorcade was in motion. There were lots of Trump supporters who probably got stuck in the temporary shut down, including this woman.
She claimed it was a "rally". It wasn't, not in the usual sense. I was in NB waiting for Trump's arrival. so I didn't see her or what she described. But immigrants both legal and illegal work in a variety of fast food, dining, construction and assorted positions here. I have never in my 40 years of living here seen flagrant racism directed towards Mexicans, or Vietnamese, or any other group. Was she lying?
