"Absurd, stunning, insane overlords."

 It's a podcast. Topics —
Biden said he’d end the oil industry, Ghislaine Maxwell’s nonabsurd deposition, what “is” is, a passion for ponies, McConnell’s bruises, the media help Joe Biden, Sean Ono Lennon calls Facebook “insane overlords,” and Johnny Rotten demonstrate how to love your wife to the very end.

The thing is, at some point we are going to have to transition out of fossil fuel.

It's ridiculous to pretend we are not going to have to.

Watch a persuasive short from Elon Musk... Link

The sooner we do this the better.

Why do we need to "transistion out of fossil fuels?" I mean, are they even "fossil" fuels? No one knows how oil is actually made. There's apparently pretty credible evidence that oil is being made today, and it's not just squashed piles of ferns and dino carcasses, like I was taught in school. If it were that, we'd run out, which means we do need to figure out a way to move on from oil.

But if the earth makes it at a pretty good clip via bacteria or whatnot, then why transistion? Oil is wonderful stuff; coal is great. Powerwise, they are excellent fuels. Sure, there's some pollution but that can be remedied. It's probably better than extinguishing the bird population via windmill.

You transition out of fossil fuels when there's a substitute that's cheaper. You won't ever run out of fossil fuels because at worst the price keeps going up, so nobody will ever use the last of it, but a cheaper alternative becomes at hand automatically.

It's assumed/asserted based on correlations with location and disposition. Then again, pattern detection has formed the foundation of recognizing humanoid lifeforms from singular, exceptional evidence. They create creatures from whole cloth or a single tooth. Science has evolved as the art and practice of plausible, where inferential beliefs have replaced deductive reasoning. A cargo cult in the mainstream.

Oil is wonderful stuff; coal is great.

The former has energy density that is ideal for mobile applications. The latter is great for base load generation, and the next generation of nuclear reactors.

It's probably better than extinguishing the bird population via windmill.

Ah, the Green Blight, a source of intermittent, nonrenewable, gray energy, an environmental hazard for flora and fauna displaced, and a gauntlet for birds, bats, and other flying creatures.
